((OOC: *noms on nachos* Mmmmm.))
Nezik nodded briefly. "No, it's not," he agreed. "C'mon, Jinx. We've got places to be." He and the younger Siren took off at their usual hyper-speed.
Katalina looked after them with worried eyes for a moment or two, then shook her head. "There are a lot of clans, and this isn't the kind of message we can trust to word of mouth. Narcis and I had best go, too." She glanced back at the three of them and said quietly, "Safe travels. We'll meet you back here once it's done." And they, too, took off.
Tianara remained in the water for a while, watching them go. Then she turned to Joshua and Allen. "And then there were three," she murmured. "What have we to do?"

((I was originally going to use the harpy as a spy, but do what you want with it. Maybe its watching a bad guy that's around us?))
Mac rethought his words, "Let yourself and the pendant's energy be one, so then you will understand it better" he said. "What would you like to do now?" he asked. They retrieved their item, but now Mac wanted to know what she wanted to do. "We could go back to the others-" Mac was cut off by his stomach growling, and he stopped talking.

((I'm in the same boat as Shadow in regards to the luck key.))
"Good luck to you all." Joshua whispered, watching them all leave. He turned and began wading out of the water. He glanced at Tianara and shrugged. "I'm not sure." He sat down on the sand, looking out at the sea. "I'm not sure there is much we can until we get knews of where the ocean children are." He felt at a loss at the moment. "And Arian and Mac aren't back yet." Joshua glanced up the beach to where they had left.
Allen watched in disappointment as the merfolk left. Shaking his head, he scolded himself. 'They're doing important work. They have to leave. Besides, they'll be back. They said so.' He consoled himself with that fact. He looked up at Tianara. "Not sure what we can do. Aria and that kid might have an idea when they get back."
Aria stared at the pendant, thinking. She was startled out of her thoughts by a growling sound. Glancing at Mac she laughed, a light and merry sound. "I'm thinking we should probably get you food first." She let the pendant fall and rest on her chest once more. "Coming?" She asked, leading the way off the beach.

Tianara watched them silently for some time. Her gaze was very far away. Something in her eyes was dark and murky. "We ought to think of something," she said quietly. "They're doing their share. We need to find something we can do while they're busy. That creature..." She stopped, fell silent. Reluctantly, she murmured, "I should be able to feel other ocean children. We're the same. I should know them."
She hadn't gone with the others because no matter who had raised her, she was still human. She still had the basic human limitation of no tail; she still wasn't meant to live her life underwater. All she could do was slow them down. But despite that knowledge, it hurt to see them go to protect the other seafolk without her. She needed to find something to do to feel worthwhile.
To repay.

Joshua glanced up at the girl. "You think you could find the ones from around here?" He asked quietly. He shared Tianara's need to do something - He was just at a loss as to what. Standing, he brushed the sand from his clothes. "Well, it's something. We might as well give it a shot. We could save ourselves some time if this works." Tianara had managed to find the drop of mermaid blood in Aria so surely she could find those who had been raised by the merfolk. Couldn't she?

Mac looked at her and smiled with slight embarrassment, "Yes, but I warn you, if the food is right, I will eat a lot of it" he said, "I'm like a black hole" he snickered. He followed her wherever she led him.

((OOC: OSHIZ. I see more characters on the horizon!))
Tianara hesitated briefly. "I can try," she said softly. "I don't know if it would work, but I can try." She rose out of the water slowly, pushing back her hair. It really was simple - all she had to do was reach out and feel for the same magic she'd been looking for in Aria. If she found any, and it didn't lead her to water, she'd found either a merfolk descendant or another ocean child.
"All right," she said quietly, taking a deep breath. "Let's start with the town. My clan's had another ocean child before me, so he's probably nearby. And I'm sure there are others - this is a very popular port among boats, which means there have been at least a few shipwrecks, and there are several clans around here."

Joshua nodded. "Makes sense." He murmured. He lead the way up the beach and through the woods at a quick trot. His familiarity with the path made it a fast journey. It wasn't long before they were at the edge of the town. There, Joshua paused. "Do you want to try from here? Or from closer in, like the cernter of the town?" He wasn't sure how much concentration Tianara would need and it was quieter here on the edge.
Allen followed behind the pair, keeping up easily. He was curious to meet these other ocean children. Also, he wanted to watch how Tianara located them.
Rather than enter the town, Aria turned off onto a side path. She lead the way down the path. It soon became clear that she was leading Mac towards her house rather than the town. "Sorry about this, but I don't carry money with me. I don't usually go into town. If you want, I can grab some money and we can get something in town. Or I can cook whatever's lying around the house." She shrugged, unconcerned. "Either way is fine."

Tianara glanced over her shoulder, blinking a bit. "Hmm?" In reality, she'd been trying ever since they left the beach. Still, though, she felt nothing. She reached out again mentally, trying to feel something. After a moment or two, she felt just the slightest tickle, and her eyes opened. They were dreamy, dark and unfocused. "This way," she murmured, staring off. "Come on."
She began to walk through the town. It was soon evident that the feeling took the path as the crow flies - more than once she would stop in frustration in order to walk around a building that the feeling would have pulled her right through.
She never glanced back to see if they were following. It didn't seem to matter to her anymore.

Joshua noticed the unfocused look in Tianara's eyes. Wisely, he decided to say nothing and simply follow. He didn't question the girl as she lead, merely letting her be. 'Besides, I'm not sure she'd hear me, even if I did speak.' Tianara seemed so focused on the feeling she was following. As he walked, Joshua galnced around, taking note of where they were going. It would make it easier for when they wanted to return to the cove.

Mac looked at her, "I wouldn't mind trying some food you make. Besides, we should save our money for something that we need later" he said with a smile. Aria's kindness was a pleasure surprise, and he delighted in the fact she said she would cook for him. "So, have you ever had seaweed pasta?" he asked in question. "I have, and it tastes pretty good. I didn't know so many foods could be made from seaweed".
