I mean, will you be able to pay for your insurance and all that and whatnot? After all, I've learned (oh HOW I've learned) that you can't let your parents trample over you once you're grown up.

Nope. I don't have a job, and thus far have not been allowed to get one, because it will mean that it will drop my siblings health insurance, as well as mine. I am seriously considering bolting and just staying in my car till I can find some work, I'm not even treated like a human being in that house. I'm just someone that's there to work is all.

But you're trying to find one, yes? I don't quite understand how you getting a job means that your sibling's insurance gets dropped as well, but perhaps that's none of my business. In any case, it might be wise (after reviewing consequences) to just move on. Assuming you're of legal age you should be able to do as you wish.

Me, my brother, and my sister are all on Medicaid, government funded health insurance that is based on family income. We barely got it anyway, my dad's job almost pays too much to qualify. I have been looking for work that pays under the table, but have been unlucky so far. And yes, I am 18. I turn 19 in July, though I am treated like I'm 12, despite the fact that I'm practically raising my siblings AND babysitting my mother.

Hrm, legal tax age before called independent... *thinks* Was it 24 years of age OR (provides own income AND not claimed as anyone else's dependent)? Are you able to ask your parents not to claim you as a dependent, have you pay for rent there until you move out (hence, they're not paying for your housing and food -- you're paying them for room and you're buying your own food), and then get a job? They won't get the extra 3,500 USD exemption on their form, but that should mean your income will not be part of the family's income.
It just sounds like you need to move on.

They probably won't go for that, and I am sorta paying rent. Every semester, I get a FAFSA grant for my schooling. whatever is left after tuition, books, art supplies, ect is turned over to her by force.
EDIT: I have to go now. I think I can put off this argument with her to tomorrow, but I'm not sure. If not, I may not be able to get online for a long time, whether or not I am kicked out. So, see ya later everyone.

I've just eFile'd my Federals and now I'm relaxing and reminiscing on Ayn Rand. There are just as many things I hate about her as there are things I love.
