Logic finally smiled, a full and true smile, full of warmth. The question had reminded him of Alex. "No. It might feel strange at first, but you just have to sit there." he said, swiming close to Joshua.
He put on hand on the human's back to support him, and the other, he placed one glowing fingertip on his forehead.
He closed his eyes and let the memmories flow.
. . A young boy floating on a peice of wreckage . . A younger merman and a small dolphin pulling him to shore . . The merchild smoothing the human's hair out of his face . . Watching the human from a distance as he woke up . . The human running along the rocks of the shore with the merchild swiming . . Silver eyes filled with tears . . Two dead human bodies laying side by side on the beach . . The human brandishing a stick at a group of older mermen who were torrmenting the younger merchild . .

Joshua's eyes widened as he saw the memories. This was an amazing ability. To be able to show memories, instead of trying to speak them. He waited, watching all that was shown to him. 'Who were those dead people?' He wondered as the memory flashed past.

. . A dark storm, tossing the sea like a coin . . The human clinging to the merchild tightly . . The two, now older, swiming in the clear water, hands intertwined . . The human kissing the merman . .
Logic drew his finger away very quickly after that flash of memory, blushing furiously. "I'm sorry . . I didn't mean to show you that." he said, turning away.

Joshua was startled as the memories suddenly stopped. His eyes focused back on the present, only to see Logic turned away from him. He reached out a hand, almost touching Logic's shoulder. He paused, not sure how Logic would react. Pushing his doubts away, he laid his hand on the bare shoulder before him. "Logic? Are you okay? I didn't mean to pry like that. I'm sorry." Joshua was afraid that he'd upset Logic by having the memories shown to him. He hadn't seen the merman blushing.

When Joshua put his hand on his shoulder, Logic inhaled quickly and deeply. "It has nothing to do with that. Alex just . . c-confused me." he said, sounding slightly irritated. He turned back to Joshua and sighed. "I still haven't quite figured that boy out." he said.

Persephanie watched them silently, wondering what the memories had been. She sunk lower in the water, bobbing for a moment and she looked beneath it.

Joshua pulled his hand back as he felt Logic inhale quickly. "What do you mean you haven't figured him out? It looked like you two had been friends for a long time." Joshua was becoming more and more puzzled.

Aries laughed. "Why ever would you want to escape? It's lovely there!" She smiled at him. "There's sand and trees... and rocks."

"The most important person in your life?" Aries looked around at the vast empty sea. "Do you mean... me?" She looked at him with confusion on her eyes. Surely he was wrong since they'd met not 20 minutes ago.

Aries smiled and laughed again. "You're strange. I like it. It's a shame you're leaving because I live in the waters surrounding this island. We could have been good friends..." She sighed. "Oh well... Safe travels!" Aries flopped out of his raft and landed back in the water near it.
