Fid went to refill the water pouch. He had seen Maya's condition. If the wolf made it to the humans in time, they could come and help. The only thing he could do was to keep her comfortable...and to practice healing. Sitting next to her, he had pulled out his blanket from his sack and tucked it over her. She needed to sweat the fever out. He also tried to make her drink some tea, making it bearable by adding berry juice.

Maya still shivered once Fid woke her up to try and make her drink some tea. She really had no interest in drinking the tea at the moment, but she knew she needed to stay hydrated. Groaning lightly, she managed a few sips before she refused to drink anymore, curling even more into a ball, her knees up against her chest.

Fid raised his hands over her body. He needed to try. He hated to see her uncomfortable like this. Focusing his magics, he tried to heal her. A rusty red glow of his magic flowed from his palms into her. It wasn't strong. Cursing himself, he tried again, trying harder. The hardest he had ever tried.

The drow coughed rather violently as she felt some of her flesh start to pull itself back together. Elf magic did not sit well with her it seemed, as her own magic never really hurt when she tried it, but she could feel every part attempt to pull back together, making Maya claw at the ground in pain now from coughing. Healing was never a good experience it seemed.

He broke off his magic, defeated. All he could do was wait now. "Sorry, I tried." Angry at his weakness in magic, he cursed himself multiple times over.

Maya just shook her head as the coughs slowly died down. When she was able to breath normally again, she started whispering to herself in her own language. The wounds would speed up in healing, though it would still take several hours and do nothing for her fever. She could only deal with one thing at a time and the wounds were the main priority at the moment.

Fid watched her. Even when she was in a weakened state, she was better than him. It depressed him even more

The energy required for the spell drained from Maya quickly, knocking her out for a few more hours. When she woke up, her wounds were as healed as the spell would allow. The wounds were still about an inch or two deep, but she could at least manage with that. Her fever was still there, and she tried to sit up so she could got get more water.

Fid poured water on a cloth and placed it on her forehead, pushing her back down. He then brought the mouth of the pouch to her lips so she could sip. The humans should get there soon, he didn't know when though.

"Fid..." Maya whispered softly. She was delirious at the moment, but she sipped the water for a bit before she turned away, not wanting anymore.

"Yes...Maya?" He put the pouch away and looked her over, making sure she was safely under the blanket.

Fid stared at her, confused. "Why would I hate you?" He placed a hand on her forehead, checking her temperature.

The drow was burning up and still shivering as she lay there. "For leaving you before...please don't hate me..." She murmured again.

"I... I don't hate you. I don't ever think I could. Now shhh... Help will be here soon." He kissed her forehead to reassure her. He really wasn't mad or angry at her. He didn't hate her.
