Miach (HR)
She had stood there admiring the Angel and Hunter whom she had gotten to meet while they were in their eggs. It didn't surprise her to see them jumping in to help the candidates, though she didn't seem to see the Hellhound trying to make it's debut and out of all of them she thought it would be the first. She couldn't help but admire the pair anyways. Just when she thought the Demon was going to make its way into the crowd once more she found a fight begin between the dragonets.
Miach let out an audible gasp. She wasn't sure why she did, if it was for the pair or the Demon, but either way she was surprised. While the candidates would be safe, they would be in harms way. She wondered if there was something she could do. Helplessness was not something Miach liked to feel, ever. Instead, she bit her lip and tried to figure out how to get them to stop. Would a diversion work? No, not unless it involved their chosen and there was no way to figure that out. Well--no way she was willing to try. There were enough injured candidates out there. Miach looked back at the pair that had been take to the injured area. Two was more than enough. Her green eyes focused on the mass of fighting dragonets.
Kambri (W)
Kambri couldn't help but agree. It really was one thing to read, hear and imagine it, but to actually see it with your own eyes was a completely other thing entirely. He shrugged at Oer as if to say, he had no clue what to do. "Maybe we should try to help any of them?" Kambri directed his attention to the green pair by the stretchers and the blue that seemed to be corralling all the green's. Maybe they could help the blue? Or was it better to help the green's? He wasn't quite sure which he should help. His eyes flitted over the bronze's and white fighting it out. There was nothing he could do to help other than to break them up--but something told him that was a really bad idea.
Maybe it was better to focus on what he could do right now. The green's seemed to be an interesting group. With that in mind, Kambri made his way over to them with a huge smile gracing his lips. "Hello little one's." He greeted, crouching down to their level. "Why don't we go over there for a little while and let them heal?" He asked, pointing off to the left of their blue sibling, but far enough away that they should feel a little more comfortable. Probably didn't hurt that it wasn't jam packed with injured and unsuspecting candidates. "Oooh, we could create a story! Or cuddle!" Kambri said excitedly. "What would you like to do little one's?" He asked, still trying to get them to move but doing so in a way he hoped they wouldn't take offense to.

Astriana
Astriana knew from the few hatchings she had been to, that anything could happen during them. However, she had not been ready for what transpired so far, at least not all of it. The normal excitable hatchlings, yes, that was definitely something she was used to. To see a young dragon purposely mauling people, that was not something she has seen. The first victim of the bronze baby who had hatched first was a face she knew, Dolmar. She watched with some concern, hoping that he didn't get killed by the hatchling. Yes, she hoped it would teach him a lesson, because she knew the man was insufferable. However, she would never wish death on any person or living creature, no matter how much she didn't like them. Luckily, it seemed that it finally gave up on Dolmar and the other seemed to still be alive. Unfortunately, its next target was Gavryl, someone she remembered from the game night. Her face remained straight, her eyes revealing the worry as she had to look away.
Her eyes managed to catch the Siren green impress and some other eggs start to pop open. She was actually surprised to find that the Angel egg had revealed a white. And then she heard another hatchling burst out of the Mummy egg and go to Gavryl's defense. She followed him as he pounced his brother and got him to back of...his rider. A small sense of jealousy came over her, but it was quickly overridden by happiness that her acquaintance had impressed to one of her favorites. She had been about to go over to offer him a hand, but saw someone else help him off to the healers. Hopefully the new weyrling pair would be fine, now that they were together and off the sands.
Once they were safe, her eyes returned to the eggs. She mentally smiled as she saw the blue Vampire trying to corral his sisters, one who wanted to play and one who seemed hungry. She also took note of the Werewolf green, who also seemed to want to play. She seemed to get some swipes in, but unlike her brother, it was all in normal fun. It didn't escape her notice as the Hunter bronze and the Angel white got into a tussle with the Demon bronze. A smirk of satisfaction on that came into her eyes, hopefully they would teach it a lesson. She had also noticed an egg that she had not seen before, a mauve one. It must have been buried, since she was pretty sure no one had touched that one There was so much going on, her heart still hoping one of these babies were her's, despite the hatching being more bloody than she had expected.

Finally, more of the Demon's siblings had hatched and were dealing with the problem; Dezerac didn't love the idea that there was nothing he or the rest of the Candidates could feasibly do (whether they wanted to or not), that they were powerless before the hatchlings, but that was always a risk of Standing, and one he'd come accept better than some others, apparently. But any would-be heroes were saved, for now, by the intervention of Hunter and Angel. The judgemental eggs had not been favorites of his at the Touching, but at least they were doing something about their problem clutchmate.
He maintained an awareness of the scrapping, in case it brought them close to him, but he was done giving the Demon so much of his attention, and as his brothers had already made it clear that they disapproved of him due to his past, he wasn't overly invested in the fight. Now that he dared to turn his attention away, he could see that a few greens and a blue were on the Sands, and other eggs looked close to hatching. Which would be next, what would it contain, and would any of them ever want him?

When the bronze hatchling attacked Dolmar Serfie felt sicker than ever, as the attack went on, she was sure the little creature was determined to kill... on purpose and she did empty her stomach again though only bile came out, she would have sat down on the sands, she was so shaky and her legs felt so weak, if they hadn't been so hot, and she didn't need to be ready to move, who knew who the creature that had seemed so polite not that long ago, would do next, who he would attack.
Her caution proved true when the bronze left off Dolmar, attacking instead another boy, She was glad it was the boys, she moved a little more away from that crowd, separating her more from the boys. She had been watching the Bronze with horror, she hadn't even seen the siren green hatch but she couldn't help see the pretty little one Impress to someone nearby,
The rest of it all went past in a blur, she heaved again, tears coursing down her face, she hadn't been THIS scared since the Whers charged her thorn wall when she was alone, she still felt so alone, in a violent world, she hated it, feeling vulnerable. She collapsed to the sands on her hands and knees, not seeing R'mor looking for her, tears blurring her vision. She growled at herself, Come on Serfie, pull it together, you've fought off Whers, you survived alone surrounded by vicious wild creatures... get UP .. she told herself, scrubbing at her face with her sleeve, sand scratching her skin but she ignored it. Her stomach hurt and she just wanted to run, hide, curl up and shut everything out but she promised A'iel ... she promised the Candidatemaster, if she gave in now, she was just a silly little coward, especially when all these other Candidates, however horrified, were still standing, still hopeful, was she less than them? NO ... Serfie forced herself to her feet, wiping at her face again.
Despite being almost as pale as her robes, she forced herself up to stand, albeit shakily, determined to see this through, she didn't come to the Weyr, fight against nightmares, push down her upbringing, pushed away the ridiculous notion of Dragons being horrible monsters, of their riders being half beasts themselves, to come here, to learn ... just to quit now. She looked about her, seeing more eggs having hatched, was that a WHITE? charging the vicious, murderous bronze? Serfie gasped, She just about coped (sort of) with a Dragon hurting a person but she didn't think she could stomach seeing a Dragonet killing another Dragonet, that was almost against nature itself... surely? "NO!" she screamed "please" she added in little more than a whisper, she didn't think she could take it, the White was seriously outmatched if it wanted to fight the Bronze but then the two bronzes were fighting, Serfie was barely keeping up, her mind was almost buzzing, she was starting to struggle to focus. She jumped when Shahera said hello to her, flinching away from her presence until she realised it was 'only' Shahera. "how do you think?" she said, wobbly, not sarcastically at all, in fact she realised she was hoping Shahera thought she was coping better than she was, wanting to give the girl who was almost, who COULD maybe, possibly, be a friend, a good impression.
Mx Cherie for accidental ignoring of R'mor looking for her

Nebbi
With more dragons' support, and no candidate being actively mauled on the sands, Nebbi shakily let go of the candidate master's arm. She.. She could do this, right? She just had to be brave. No risk, no reward, r-right? She took another cautious step forward. What was it Devith had said? No matter how slim the chance, to leave your own partner lost, alone, without you on the sands.. She couldn't do that. And they couldn't see her if she kept hiding back here.
"I'm.. I'm okay now.." she said, to anyone who might be worried about her, dragon or human alike. I can do this.. she thought, her hands tightening, though her heart continued racing. Like the words could make it true. I can do this.
Roknhin
E'ion had dropped him off at the hatching. It was mostly him and Jalarus that convinced him to go. There were plenty of volunteers willing to take the shift, and Rok probably wouldn't have, if it were for the two of them. As a child, he had once enjoyed simply watching hatchings for the thrill of it. Not so much anymore... Bad memories, both new and old, tended to be dragged out at those times. But a day's work offered an evening at a gather, with E'ion, so.. Maybe it wasn't so bad.
He tried hard not to pay attention to what was going on on the sands, focusing instead on the animals they were butchering. He certainly didn't need the play-by being muttered about by several of the other kitchen workers.
Masterharper Not sure where they are in relation to the sands.

"They're hurting him," Cesare said, and it was clear that he did not care for the idea. After all, the little Bronze was only an infant. It was not as though he was in full control of all of his capacities. He was unmatched, and might go between if overburdened. All he could think was that he didn't want to watch the baby die. Maybe the Demon could take on both of its siblings, but he wasn't so sure he wanted to find out. But what could he do? "He may be violent, but that's not abnormal in a dragonet." Not necessarily preferred, but... it wasn't pleasant to watch the dragonets fighting.
--
Serfie, it will be all right. They won't kill their brother. Whether or not Zinath was actually sure of that, she put surety into her voice, let the girl have something to cling to, if she wished. Poor children. This was too much. A'ral was not entirely sure that he trusted Vimiath to behave herself, and let the Gold dragon know as much with a quirk of his eyebrow. "If one of the dragonets is for you, they will approach... or call out to you. You don't need to go into the fray," he assured the Candidates who stood near him. He wanted to wrap them up and keep them safe, but they would never find their bondmates that way. "What's your name, sweetheart?" A'ral asked Nebbi, tightening his hold gently.
--
The purpose of sending Fidget along became clear rather quickly, as a poised, elegant man wound his way through the crowd. Casgar had evidently finished up his preparations, or left tasks to his orderlies. "Jacomus," he greeted, before catching sight of Nemo. "Nemo. I take it I've missed some drama on the sands?" he inquired, making note of a certainly similarity between the Bronzerider and a man that he had not yet met. The blue flitter perched daintily on Jacomus's shoulder, choosing it above his own person's.

Lissa
The amusement Lissa had felt watching the little demon strut and pose was washed away in a flood of horror as he attacked first one boy, then another. And as Lissa watched, frozen in place by shock, she was absolutely that the bronze had meant to kill the first boy. She'd caught the whirl of blue in it's eyes as it savaged it's victims. Didn't blue eyes mean a dragon was happy? How could a dragon be happy about hurting people? When the Mummy had hatched and charged to protect the second of the boys, Lissa had let out a whoop of relieved happiness. Both boys were hurt, but they'd been saved.
By that point, it seemed that chaos was erupting all around. She saw other eggs moving, other dragonets appearing. And still she stood frozen, unsure of what to do. At least until she saw a little white dragonet burst from its egg and move to attack the demon. At that point, Lissa could only see and imagine nothing but tragedy on what should be a happy day if Angel fought Demon. Especially when the Angel was smaller than it's clutchmate.
Freed of her horrified paralysis, the white-blonde ran for the pair of dragons, intent on trying to keep the dragonets from trying to murder each other.
"Oh no," she screamed. "Please, don't! Don't fight! Dragons aren't supposed to fight other dragons, it's wrong!"
Left unsaid was her fear that they would fight and die. And what a fantastically awful omen that would be. It had to be stopped somehow.
"Please stop!"

Esfir
The pleasure of the day had been replaced by stomach twisting nausea and fear. Esfir was crying in earnest as she watched the two boys being tended to for their bronze inflicted wounds. She was vaguely aware of other candidates impressing. There was the Mummy and Siren paired off. But there were other little dragons on the sands and on some level, they all seemed to be fighting.
Tears streaming down her face, Esfir noticed the Vampire and Goblin locked in what looked like a silent power struggle. But they weren't hurting anyone. Edging over towards them, she had a vague thought of keeping them occupied until they found their people. Anything to keep more fights, more pain from happening! Even the little Werewolf was only acting out of what seemed like extreme joy. Yes, she'd move towards them and pray that more bloodshed wouldn't happen.

Isilje
Alya's exclamation had her flushing softly. Was she? She didn't really know....She wasn't all that conscious of her own looks. Her smile was small, eyes sparkling behind red-tint glass, "Thank you." To know that someone thought her lovely....that was kind of nice. Standing by the group now, she was privvy to watch the poor Goblin being controlled by that blue. Strange....did she not just want to play? Her....and the green Werewolf would play, it seemed. What drew her odd eyes was the tangle of limbs that was Demon, Hunter, and Angel. "No!" Oh goodness! Not all three of them....They were going to get hurt, and that worried her so greatly! Her heart ached for them, watching wide eyed at the ball of claws and wings. Poor things....She couldn't stop them without risking injury to herself, but OH she wanted to. it was almost so distractign enough that she didn't notice yet a THIRD lovely Bronze emerging from the sands. "Oh..."
C'yx and Blue Iriseth Ah, her distress upset him so. Gently, his nose moved to press to the top of her head. The violence upset his poor love, It seems we have a squabble between the dragonets upon the sands. His wing ached as he remembered a bite from one of his own brothers as a tiny hatchling. Oh, that had been long ago now.
Aelyx
She had been here since early in the Hatching, tucked in the back and watching everything with strange, mismatched eyes. Her green hair had been freshened just for this, the robes draping elegantly about her lithe figure as she headed over to Huarwar, "Hello love." A kiss to his cheek, she watched the sands with a raised brow, "WELL, isn't this fun."

Migel
"Two against one... It hardly seems fair, does it?" Migel noted in response, solemnly. It didn't seem like any of its siblings were going to come to its aid, so the Demon was alone in fending off the other two.
"One would think the gold would step in.." he muttered. He could understand why she wouldn't stop a dragonet from mauling a candidate, for fear of driving it between (they'd made it quite clear which one was valued higher than the other), but if someone didn't stop this soon, it seemed that one of them betweening was assured. Possibly all of them, if the Demon could do enough damage in return. To have two bronzes and a white, only to lose them in a fray.. That would be a real tragedy.
Nebbi
Okay! That was fine too! Nebbi thought, gluing herself back to A'ral's side. Moment of bravery attempted, she was more than happy to take the 'out' he was giving her. If the candidatemaster told her to stay, that was fine, right? She was just following orders.
"It's Nebbi.. Th-this is my first time." she said, like she needed to explain.

"Rio," the young man chimed in, smiling more warmly now that there was less of a threat to the humans on the Sands. Not that he didn't worry for the hatchlings - because oh, he did - but they were inherently better equipped to deal with each other than the Candidates were to deal with them. None of them had any real means of defending themselves, and the robes offered no protection at all...they were, at best, toys for dragonets to try to run off with, apparently. "Pleasure to meet you all, despite the circumstances.
And Alya was right, he noted to himself - Isilje was stunning. He'd never seen anyone quite like her before. But. Dragons. An egg - an egg! - rose from the sand before another bronze spilled out. Three?!
