Thanks, O n y x! whee
A couple weeks ago I was browsing the zOMG! forums and found a thread asking where to get the scar recipes. The question had already been answered, but I was in a generous mood so I went ahead and gifted one of the extra recipes that I had to the OP. I just got a trade entitled "As a thank you for giving me one of the scar recipes". It's for 4000 gold, which is FAR more than the recipe itself would have been worth. Now, the question that I have is, is it uncouth to not accept it? I mean, that would be awkward for them, but I feel really funny about accepting, particularly that amount...

That sounds.... fishy. I say you did what you thought was right.
On that note, hello all.

I'm currently hosting a contest in the ATG clan...
Just communicate with the person through Pms and tell them that you didn't expect anything in return. If they get adamant, just accept it. Their loss if they insist.
...The prize is 5k. Why not swing by and check it out?

hiya Silver
you could also tell them you feel uncomfortable accepting that amount and would feel better if you cut the gold down to well... whatever number you feel more comfortable with.
