I was trying to think of a witty reason why I got it but I'm ot very witty.
So basically I gots it as part of the Austraian overnments Stimulus package. They've given all workers who earn under a certain amount $900. Plus famiies with kids get more money and stuff. The idea is to spend it and keep the economy going so people dont lose jobs and what not through the worlds financial crap that is going on. It's going in my Japan Holiday Fund mrgreen
EDIT: Don't forget though that in Amercians munnies, its only like $500. Although I suppose thats still a lot xd

I get $60 every couple of months from the government. I'm not sure what for. It's my GST cheque, but...I don't know what I did to earn it. o_O

Ahh, I see, Laz... Our government tried that. I don't think it really worked... I got ~US$300 from it and do you know where it went? Into fixing my car and paying for school...

Heya pancake!
@ Tae: Maybe they like your hair?
EDIT @ Tsuji: That's what you are supposed to to do. See paying getting your car fxed means you helped a mechanic keep his job. It also means you stayed in school so you can become more learned for your later years.
Imagine had you not got the money. No fixed car, mechanic loses job cause not enough work, you must leave school cause have not paid fees. Now you may say, "But I was gonna save for those things" even so to save that money you would have to cut down on other things like say alcohols or going to the movies and things like that. Which would then cause movie cinemas to ose money and forced to cut staff etc. (I'm going way to deep into this aren't I? xd )

Kals says it was something started by our previous Prime Minister, Jean Chretien. (Or Cretin, as we called him.)
Kals said: "he was like "Ahhh, we cannot remove the GST lahke we promised, mais we will give you back some argent so you do not lynch us, eh?""
x3
So, I get munnies because the slack-faced one was a horrible leader. Fair enough.
