Mala, now leaning her head against Van as they walked, went on to warn Kai of how wrong his statement was. "The whole 'immortality' thing only makes you ageless. You can still die if you screw up, you just won't age while doing whatever you do."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Psh! I know that! That demon guy seemed pretty sure that he could kill me when he held me hostage that one time, remember?" Kai said as he folded his hands behind his head.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"I'd rather not remember that, but yes." Mala said, nodding slightly.

Larai looked towards the ground, remembering that incident all too well. It was because of her misplaced trust and sense of helping others that got them all into that mess. Now that she rid herself of those traits, she would hopefully never put her family at such risk again.

Kai clamped a hand over his mouth having forgotten that such a subject was a no-no since the incident occurred.

{I just thought of a really stupid and perhaps pointless idea.}

Mala soon got over the memory and asked, "So, should we take our time and walk there? Or shall I summon something to take us there faster?"

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"I didn't know you could summon stuff too." Van said in surprise, unable to remember any time this skill was put to use. Kai nodded in agreement, his dad saying what he was just about to.

((What is it?))

"Mostly just elemental stuff. I could summon up a gust of wind to pull us up and take us to where we want to go. Or I could try to be a little more creative and make something to travel with out of water. Perhaps I can get a coal-powered cart or something and keep it set aflame. It depends upon the method you want to try, really."

{Just so the fair thing isn't just boring descriptions, constant timeskipping, or just a blatant montage - we could have one of our other favorite families go to the fair and compete against Van and Mala's family as well. A friendly competition could be between Van's family and Jaquel's. Or if we want a more devious match, Milly and Daemon could be the opponents for many of the games as well.}

((We haven't seen Jaquel and Ariae for a bit, I vote for them. =) ))

"How about you just surprise us? It's been a while since you last used your magic outside of failed cooking attempts." Van teased.

Mala chuckled. "Close your eyes, then, and I'll pick~"

Van covered his eyes with one hand, holding the other over Kai's eyes since he knew he'd try to peek.

Mala began chanting, casting a spell to control a large body of water. Before long, everyone's lower bodies were engulfed in the water. With careful concentration she was able to get the jello-like body of water to float and hurriedly head towards their destination.

Mala held concentration, keeping them all afloat for about fifteen minutes. Just as they drew near the destination, it popped - letting the four fall to the ground five feet beneath them.
