Even with their speed, it would still take too long for the merfolk to get around the world. They would have to rely of other clans spreading the message. He looked at Tianara in confusion for a moment. "Hear what?" He hadn't heard anything. Looking quizzically at the girl, he shook his head and turned back to the forest. "Alright. Let's see who we can track down now." Beneath the Blood moon The forest you watch Beneath the Blood sky The forest you hunt

Smiling a bit at Joshua's willingness to let it go, Tianara went back through the forest with them. "How many do you think there will be?" she mused. "I don't know how many times I can do that tracking thing in a day. I don't like blanking out that way." Obviously, she was unaware of the way she became when she was tracking other ocean children - catatonic, trancelike, and yet moving.
As they stood near the edge of the town, she glanced at Joshua. "Ready?" she asked him and Allen both. It would be much the same, she figured, and only hoped she wouldn't lead them back to Rhiannon. Which was entirely possible, knowing her, she thought wryly.

Shadow Hunter, Silent Hunter The forest is yours alone Night Hunter, Quiet Hunter None disturb your hunt Joshua shrugged, unsure. "I don't know how often the merfolk take in others, so I have no idea how many there will be." He realized Tianara didn't realize how she'd acted while searching for the others. In the back of his mind, he wondered why it happened. Something to look into on a rainy day.
Allen and Joshua both nodded to her. They were ready. The hard work was up to Tianara. They simply had to follow and keep anything from happening to the girl. "Whenever you're ready child." Allen told her in a calm voice. Beneath the Blood moon The forest you watch Beneath the Blood sky The forest you hunt

"Well, it's not too hard," murmured Tianara. "You just take the amount of shipwrecks you've had in the past...oh, fifty to sixty years in this area, and multiply by the amount of children likely to be on board. Minus about two-thirds of that, add about a tenth of the amount of children who seem to have vanished shortly after birth and you have the likely amount of ocean children." She grinned sheepishly. "From what I can figure, anyway."
She smiled shyly at Allen when they confirmed that they were ready. "All right," she said softly, looking out to the town. "Let's try this again." She closed her eyes briefly, listening. Her face took on that blank, searching look it had held earlier, when she'd found Rhiannon. "This way," she whispered, and began to walk. After only a few minutes, however, she broke into an uncomfortable-looking run. "Hurry. He needs our help."

He murmured, referring to her calculations for ocean children. Shaking his head, he fell silent and followed behind Tianara. He and Allen glanced at each other then sped up when the girl began running. They both had a worried look on their face. What kind of trouble were they running into blind? Mac quickly followed the group. Him and Aria held together by her grasp. He Quickly ran with them back through the town. "Is someone in trouble?" he asked.

((OOC: Let's not be too liberal with the monsters, EG. They're more exciting if they're rare. razz God, I apparently need to stop going to work. So much happens when I'm not here. xp ))
Tianara had left the others somewhat behind in her hurry - the awkward-looking shamble that she had been using before had transformed into a far smoother stride, and she was going too fast to look back and see where the others were. Abruptly, she stopped, her gaze shifting as she looked for something. Then she turned so hard she almost fell, and ran into a side street. She was moving steadily into the seedier end of town, where fights and trouble came more often.
She was not quite out of sight when she turned again and went into a slim alleyway beside a bar.
Upon getting in there, she dropped almost immediately to her knees beside a youngish man with heavy dark hair. Probably when he was healthy, he was as attractive as the rest of the ocean children, but at the moment, he looked like the victim he was. He was currently sprawled out on the pavement, pale and bleeding sluggishly from a wound to the head. His breathing was shallow and difficult, and as she touched his cheek with shaking fingers, he sighed briefly, and for a short second his breathing seemed to stop. Even as she began to panic, it started up again.
Glancing over her shoulder, she wondered where the hell the rest of them had gotten to. She needed help for him, and she needed it right now.
"Just hold on," she told the man quietly. "I'm here now. We'll help you."

((But something is making monsters appear, and Aria does have a weapon after all as well and we have some magick. I'm willing to make a new villain))
Mac saw this sight, and was almost numb. He looked at Aria with a sort of explanatory look. He walked calmly over to him, bent down, and put a hand on him.
