It's my weekend, so I'm being lazy. I'm watching my nephews in a little over an hour though...
@Kerri — What if you click on it in your inventory and click "Equip Item"?

Kerrigan_dragon ....... CURSE YOU INVENTORY. D< I has red phat shoes... but I can't equip them. I see them in my inventory, but not in my dress up page. Dx
It may be that the phat shoes are still seen as different between boy and girl? If you were gifted the shoes?

I tried that as well, Tsuji. First thing I tried after I found it wouldn't work. *le sigh* I can't afford another pair of shoes, I only have 257g... ._.

It turns out that there are Phat Sneakers and Phat Platforms. Sneakers for boys, Platforms for girls...
