I call it MSN, 'cause it always used to be MSN. xd
It's Windows Live Messenger now, but they're essentially the same thing (WLM is Messenger 9, or something)
Once you've got yourself a .Net passport (Hotmail, MSN or Live email address), you can sign in and set a Display Name, which is essentially your nickname.
Mine's currently set to Mike, but it usually goes to Bass20XX.
