Mackenzie sported a large grin as she neared the golden snitch, eyes locked on it to prevent it from disappearing. As far as her peripheral vision led her to believe, neither of the other seekers spotted it yet or else they would've been closer.

Mackenzie had almost caught up to the golden orb. She was so close! Then once she was close enough, maybe she'd actually catch it and be made Gryffindor's seeker for the year! Now that would be so awesome.
Gid didn't stop flying until he had reached the goals. He just had to avoid focusing on hurting the girl's feelings. He needed to worry about himself! The boy bit his lip and threw, hoping to send it through a goal.

Mackenzie was flying right on the snitch's trail. Thinking she was close enough, the girl reached out to try and catch it with one hand while the other one clung onto her broomstick. The first year really hoped she'd be lucky enough to catch the thing.

Pru called everyone down to take a break, and Kim needed one. She drank some water and stretched out, trying to avoid looking at anyone. What if they saw her crying? How embarrassing!! When the game began again, new teams were announced. This time, Brandon was on her team and Gideon was still on the opposite team. As she watched the Chasers do their thing, she wasn't surprised to see Gideon bringing the Quaffle back to her. She readied herself and moved in to block when he threw it her way.

Gid grabbed the ball before it reached Joel and he flew around the older player, using his free arm to wipe sweat off his head as he flew toward the goals again.

Fianna continued her search for the Snitch, as she caught sight of Mackenzie seemingly chasing after something, while Ivy didn't seem to be looking all that hard at all.

Mackenzie reached out and closed her hand, only to discover the snitch had moved. It flew a lot quicker than she imagined it would. Trying again, the seeker stuck reached out, hoping to catch it.
Gid kept flying, looking around. He was tired from his constant movement, so he decided he'd have to pass. He looked over at Aleah, his teammate, then called out to her before throwing in her direction. Hopefully she'd get the quaffle to the goals and it'd take long enough he could relax for a few seconds.

Mackenzie felt the snitch's wing brush up against her fingers. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to trap it in her grasp and when she looked from her hand to the snitch -- or where it was right before that -- it was gone. Just like that. The stupid little golden ball got away. She was so close! How could it have disappeared already? Frustrated, the eleven year old huffed and slowed down, scanning the general area. After all, it couldn't have gotten very far yet, could it?

Aleah was no excited when Pru switched her to Chaser. She supposed it wasn't her captain's fault. Its not like Aleah had told her she couldn't physically play any position but seeker without seriously injuring herself.... And she was far too stubborn to say anything now either. She mostly was just following behind Gid in case he needed her for now. And then suddenly he was passing the ball to her, and her eyes went wide. She reached out and caught the ball..... At least she did that. But her shoulder happily popped out of place on impact, and a few of her ribs shifted as well. She whimpered quietly in pain, and used her good arm to tuck the ball against her chest before shooting towards the goals. She took a moment to decide, should she shoot with her good arm and risk injuring it as well, or shoot with her bad arm and seriously injure it..... In the end she decided that her good arm was it. She tossed the ball towards the goals, flinging her arm out so far to send it as fast as she could.... and of course her elbow happily dislocated as well. She was going to regret that decision soon....
