"Only once, but that was a long time ago and the problem has since been solved." Mala said to Riley, clearly not wanting to talk about that subject all too much.

"Have you made up with mom yet?" Riley asked, kind of regretting his question right after.

Mala gave Riley an annoyed stare - signaling this as a no-no subject with him as well. "That woman will not be a mother to me by any means." she hissed bitterly.

"She has at least agreed to tolerate her though." Van said putting an arm around Mala's shoulders to calm her down.

Larai returned with a half-eaten bowl of ice-cream, arriving just in time to hear Mala and Riley's small banter about grandmother Marianne. Larai kept her mouth shut, despite her mind aching to know what got her mother so riled up over Marianne in the first place. Maps never would say why.

Mala huffed out a sigh. "That's all you'll be getting out of me."

"I'd suggest locking you two in a room and forcing you to bond, but I'm afraid you'd resort to fireballs long before then." Riley said rolling his eyes.

{I typed Mala.}

"You try that and somebody will die." Mala said, her mood beginning to sour. "Please, let's not talk about this. I came out here with everyone to have a good time - not be reminded of irresponsible crones."

"Sorry, sorry..." Riley sighed. "Although that does remind me, I could probably get a gourmet feast while I'm here..." he said to himself, remembering Marianne's wall of jars upon jars of different species' blood.

Mala shrugged, moving on further in line now.

{I understand. I've been rather distracted since my uncle who was living with me died just day before yesterday. Since now my mom really has no direct family left now, she's taking it pretty hard. It's really difficult to see her like this.}

Once they got off the rollercoaster, Mala clung onto Van for support - grinning ever so broadly. "That...was awesome!" She had pretty much the same reaction as Kai, except she wanted to see the other attractions before she'd try again.

((Oh no, I'm sorry! cry *hugs you both* I wish I could be around more to give comfort, but I'll be gone most of today and leaving to take a shower now.))

"I think we can all agree....that we're going on that thing again before we leave." Van said with a grin as he also clung to his wife.
