Yes. It's a mega bag of suck. With mono, I have no idea how long it's going to stay with me. There's nothing to treat it. My grandmother didn't help the situation by telling me my cousin had mono for a year. He had asthma, so I'd like to think I'll get over it in another month.

Ouch. There's nothing you can take to help it? Hopefully it doesn't take a whole other month to get over it =(
I might've had mono a few months ago. It was never confirmed or anything (I didn't get my blood drawn so they never found out). It only stuck with me for about a week, but it still sucked.

One medical website said I could help get rid of it by getting rid of the symptoms. With mono, it could be confused with strept throat or the flu.
I've been drinking tea and drinking cold liquids to sooth and keep the swelling down. I've had to put an ice pack on my neck for my glands a couple of times. My parents just don't have that kind of money to take me to the doctors.
I'm hardly coughing anymore and I don't hurt. My lymph glands are the only thing that's swollen. All mono really is is an over production of white blood cells, hence why my glands are all shazam.
What's funny is that the gland in my throat on the left side is huge. The right one isn't. The one under my ear on the right side, however, has become this hard little knob. The left side isn't anything of the sort.

I got back from seeing Darius Rucker ( lead singer of Hootie and the Blowfish ) a bit ago guys :3
THAT SHOW WAS FREAKING AWEEEESSOOOOOOOMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEE.
He did a bunch of his new stuff, but when he busted out a few of his Hootie songs, it was amazing. Crowd screamed, cheered, danced and have fun. Though, some jackass threw something at him and hit him in the head... That sucked, but it's cool, because the show was awesome. He closed with the old song " Purple Rain "
Awesome show was AWESOME!
