((Yay; promising new characters! Smoke's going to be a lot of fun now, isn't he?))
Tobart was not as fortunate as Sko to have carpeting covering the bottom bars of his cage. He reached his hand down, a gesture to the new girl. "Ssh," he whispered to her, "do not draw attention!" the words were urgent; a warning. The scientists could be more animalistic than they were, he liked to think.
Lonomia kept to the back of his cage. He had watched the ordeal with Iruka through one of the tiny holes of the side of his cage until the tentacle boy had calmed and the scientist left. His attention was now kept by the newcomer next to him. Lonomia wondered about Alfons's accent; he didn't know enough English to recognize it as another language, but he knew he'd never heard any words like that before. He kept silent, unintentionally enigmatic.

((I'm hoping he will be. The motivation behind him was that Yani couldn't be everywhere at once XD
Oh, and if anyone wants to know where the Chimerae are placed in the cages, here's a link to the post on the front page that tells you all that smile
Huh. I have nothing to post O.o Making another scientist character then lol))

AninOnin John's breath left him in a woosh! as Upsilon barreled into him on all fours. His feet left the ground momentarily as he grunted and pushed up off the ground with the strength he had, hoping to send Upsilon's center of gravity up and behind him rather than in a death charge towards the wall.
Though it didn't stop Upsilon, it raised John high enough to protect the more important parts of his anatomy. Instead of slamming his spine against the wall going at full speed, only his... er... rear, took most of the force. He blessed his freaky-genes he didn't have a tail, but his tail bone still issued a painful pulse through his mind, convincing him it shattered. Tears rose to his eyes, blurring his vision even more. Though he couldn't see Upsilon well, he could still feel him pinning John to the wall. He brought his knee in quickly, yelling in both pain and animal instinct, hoping he hit something important that would incapacitate Project Upsilon, or at least stun him enough to let John go free. It was unlikely though, unless John hit him in the face or neck. He was too high up to do any... collateral damage. If that was even possible with this Chimera.
Under any normal situation, John's face would've been flushed by now.
His face was already red as it was with the effort of staying alive. But he was growing colder, it seemed. The slashes on his arm were having their effect, though it wouldn't incapacitate him any time in the very near future.
((Kaye, if you like fighting scenes, join Knives O.o
It was originally a onexone with Mayhem, but she's living on her own now and can't post as often. Me and you can have it out with our characters if you want razz )) ((That RP sounds like a lot of fun; I'd love to join if I won't be intruding. I can haz robot? 8D And daaang, lots of postage here. I'm likin' this!)) John's knee struck home onto Upsilon's forehead, smashing against the creature's skull and sending it downward to the ground, its grip on John now relinquished. Upsilon struggled to get up and return to its senses as its opponent was free to escape. Shaking violently on its knees, Upsilon heaved, its rigid spine contracting and expanding as the experiment choked and regurgitated what it was fed before the battle, along with a large amount of blood and... other substances, the mixed fluids spilling onto the floor from its gaping mouth and soaking into the soil of the arena. Using all of its strength to force its head upward and glaring at Johnathan, it attempted to stand up and finish the battle.
"Can...not... lose..." said the creature before its eyes rolled over and it fell to the ground, unconscious and no longer strong enough to support its own weight, out cold in a puddle of its own vomit and body fluids. It was truly a pathetic sight. The scientists sneered and pounded on the protective window of their observation room, screaming about impossibility and nonsense and demanding that the victorious Johnathan be put to death, among other things.
Johnathan had won.

Saura smiled one last time at the chimeras. A, "you should wrap that", was thrown to Iruka before she turned to leave. Heading down the long corridor Saura headed towards the break room for her promised date.
Rolling over onto his side Alfons looka around his cage and catches sight of those near him. Shuffling to the back of the cage Alfins calls out. (1)"Wer bist Sie?" Not getting much of a responce he tries something else. Pointing at himself Alfons states, "Alfons."
(1) Who are you?

((Um... Yeah, oops XD
I wouldn't mind it at all if you joined biggrin ))
Jonathon stared down at Upsilon, feeling his empty stomach roil like a forming thunderhead. He looked up to the observation window. "Are you happy? Is this what you wanted?" he shouted, voice hoarse and raw with emotion. "Is it? Answer already!" There was no reply as the scientists ignored him.
Feeling weak he knelt down and clenched his stomach, bending over with dry heaves. The Chimera fell over onto his side, eyes open, catching a sideways Upsilon on a sideways arena before he, too, eventually drifted off into unconsciousness.
Smoke had rejoined Yani in the observation room, looking down on the scene with unreadable eyes.
"We'll have to move on to plan 2," Yani said, moving away from the window. He motioned to the scientists to bring Upsilon and John up from the arena.
Smoke snuffed the end of his cigarette in a stainless steel ashtray, then stood up and walked with Yani.
"The plan was to cover the smaller Chimera's body with scratches and injuries in order to hide his surgical scar. Things didn't quite go as planned though," he explained, passing the doors into the hallway. "Our other option was to have Jared mark him in the Disciplinary Room, but he's currently out with Hiccadu to hunt down an escaped Chimera. My only other option is to turn to you, Mr. Galaway." He stopped and faced Trent, watching as he took a long drag from a new cigarette.
"Can I count on you to hide the evidence?"
There was a pause as Smoke exhaled. A moment later: "Yes sir."

Devon was watching as the two chimerae were dragged out from the arena. He then turned and noticed Yani with the new guy. Devon didn't know much about the man and was a bit interested in finding out who he was. The boss obviously had known him from somewhere else.

Lonomia quickly shifted his eyes away from Alfons, not wanting him to know he'd been staring. He glanced back. Alfons, the Chimera registered. Through one of the small holes, Lonomia touched himself between the eyes, "Lonomia," he copied.

((OOC: Damn it. All the important things happen when I get dragged away from home for a week.))
Apsalar had fallen into a near-catatonic state, though she couldn't remember how or when. Shock upon shock - starting around the time Jonathon had been brought back after escaping, and continuing through everything that had happened since - had left her curling up on herself in the farthest corner of her cage, staring blankly at the room outside the bars.
A shriek earlier had caught her attention, and life had briefly returned to the blank eyes, but then she'd closed it out and turned silently away.
There was nothing she could do. There had never been anything she could do, really, but she couldn't seem to fool herself into thinking otherwise anymore. The cage under hers was still empty. Probably they'd killed him for daring to escape, and a new Chimera would be coming to fill it.
Fine. Whatever. What did she care? They were all going to die eventually.
But...
There were voices she didn't know. And like it or not, the newcomers were as much a part of her pack as the ones she already knew. At the very least, she could learn their faces. Maybe their names.
She sighed, shook her head a couple of times, and reluctantly rejoined the living world.

Alfons looked at the man beside him and nodded, (1)"Lonomia , wohin bist wir?" Realiving that no one probably understood him he tried again, "wh..ere...ies thies." As he spoke Alfons' voice trembled in fear.
(1)Lonomia, where are we?

Iruka looked at the fellow Chimeras with whom he shared the floor, Lonomia and Alfons. *"Questo, è amore, l'inferno, Benvenuti a una fornitura a vita di dolore e tristezza ma non preoccupatevi, farò tutto il possibile per renderla migliore. Se avete sempre bisogno di qualcosa non esitate a chiedere". responded Iruka, whom had learned the language of the blond "lab coat" by entering her mind while she had been distracted with the sadistic guard in order to obtain information. After all, knowledge was power and he need the most he could get if they ever were to escape.
*This, is hell sweety, Welcome to a lifetime supply of pain and sorrow but don't worry I'll do whatever i can to make it better. If you ever need anything don't hesitate to ask"

Sko listened silently the the other chimera chatter. Talking about the fight between her and Sam, between Upsilon and John. About the new chimera who didn't speak English. Her only question was, where did he come from? Were there other labs? Other places of unspeakable crime against "mutts" as she had heard one guard say? How did he get here then? She frowned at the bottom of her cage, trying to puzzle together exactly what was going on.
Her head snapped up as the guards dragged John into the holding center, screaming and raw. Angry, hurt, and bloodthirsty. She could see it in his eyes. He wanted to tear them to shreds. So did she. Maybe they could, when the time was right. One of the guards threw him violently into his cage, and she growled at him. She knew this was a mistake even before he unlocked her cage and hit her over the head, then returned with a "muzzle", which she knew would not result well with the scientists for him, and he would soon be gone.
Now it was different. Now it was something personal, not just general. She had to get out. And it had to be soon. But how? She didn't like the idea, but she knew she would need a pack. She couldn't do it alone.

Alfons looked up at the Chimera that spoke and shrunk back in fear. (1)"welches Ich verstehe nicht , bitte tut irgend jemand heraushören verstehen mich?" Looking around in fear Alfons starts to chew on his lip. In only a moment bloos pous from his now punctured lip.
Looking over a few new files as she pulls a cucumber salad towards herself, Saura looks completely relaxed. "Hmmm, it seems that batch 73920 took well to the newest serum. That's to bad for batch 73919 looks like they'll need to be recycled. No point is having useless batchs hanging about." As another experiment was dragged back in all he could do was cry out in fear.
(1)What? I don't understand, please does anyone hear understand me?

Apsalar could hear someone babbling below her. Even with her limited (extremely limited) vocabulary, she had heard enough people speaking around her to know that that wasn't English. She was confused. The little blonde had never realized that there were other languages, other countries - she wasn't even familiar with the concept of languages and countries. That was for those that were outside, that could learn about things like that. There was just here, this slaughterhouse, and the words that the other Chimera spoke to her. And the one sentence she could easily and clearly speak back.
"Don't worry, it'll be all right."
As she had previously mused, what a joke.
Her big golden eyes peeped down through the cages. Since John's was empty, she could see through the holes in that one, but the babbler of another tongue wasn't there. The one who was remained silent. Her forehead wrinkled slightly as she tried to comprehend what was going on.
If Demitria or John were there to ask, she would ask them, but she didn't see Demitria through the peepholes between the walls and John was, of course, still gone.
So she resigned herself to puzzling it out alone, and folded herself back against the wall that adjoined her cage to Tobart's.

Iruka quickly reverted back to English as he saw the confusion on alfon's eyes and slowly pronounced each and every word so Alfons could understand "We are being held in a 'research' facility, ready to be slaughtered at any time if, we fail to 'evolve'". his tentacle now hanging over Lomina and moving into the cell where alfon's was being held. "Here let me show you, it'll be easier than to explain" with in seconds Iruka showed the new comer a part of what little information he had acquired over the years. Images rushed through both Alfons' and his mind, images of lifeless halls and monotone rooms, white screens displaying countless data meaningless to both Chimeras, now connected by Irukas's tentacle.

((Lol Ollie. Tentacle. Idk why that's funny, but it IS almost midnight. *bricked* Lololol...))
Lonomia dropped. His head clanged as it bounced against the floor and his feet scrabbled against the ceiling of his cage. Iruka's tentacle draped overhead like a slimey, bare clothesline. The outcast hissed and smacked the side of his cage adjacent to Iruka's, "Stupid!" he said in his very broken speech, "No touch; you die! Idiot!"
