A call went out from the Tornado wing for Firestone and the bronze pair quickly changed their direction. Thanks to Aresoth's size they could carry quite a lot when needed and didn't have to go back to get more as often. It was easy enough for the pair to make it towards the greenrider who had requested it.

Kath. Aresoth called out to the green as they neared and C'ryn waited until Seikh had turned her attention to him before he launched it towards her.

Firestone Run

You manage to fly up there with little trouble! In fact, the throw goes relatively smoothly, and the rider catches the stone with ease and little trouble. Good job! You can go back to the weyrlings with pride.

Round 1
[1]As your dragon weaves to catch Thread, you're thrown hard against your riding straps. They stop you from falling of your dragon, and you're grateful that V'mel had you spend all that time making them! Unfortunately, once your dragon straightens out, you realize they might be a little loose. Whoops. Better tighten those up!
[2] You've been fighting for some time now, but your dragon seems to be feeling fine. This is what they were meant to be doing -- flying, and taking down The Enemy! Tired, who's tired? Certainly not them! +1 General Stamina

After they had delivered the firestone successfully to the green paid who had needed it, the bronze pair returned to the formation of their wing. Aresoth was more focused on flaming a piece of Thread in front of him that a stray piece coming from above was missed by the both of them. It would have been bigger if it hadn't already been charred, that was at least a good thing.

Feeling Thread hit him for the first time took the wind out of C'ryn and, in turn, Aresoth. The bronze faltered for a moment before popping between and returning, C'ryn raising his left arm to brush off the frozen and quite dead Thread that had draped along his back. He grimaced at the pain, pushing it down as far as he could. It wasn't that bad, it could have been a lot worse then it was. There was no way he was going to let this stop him and Aresoth. The two quickly turned back into the fray with new found vigor.

The pair was wheeling slowly, and when the young Bronze called out to the petite Green, she trumpeted her thanks, rider's head turning to take the bag. It wasn't too hard to catch, despite how young she was. She was still a Rider. Letting out a hiss, she felt Kath wink between to avoid a thick clump. One, two, three, and they were back in just enough time to blast it from the air. Not today. Thank you, Aresoth! You and Yours are doing so well.

The pair were at ease in the air, and it almost drew some confidence to the Rider that both he and Ness were indeed fit to be Wingsecond. It was pride, perhaps, that kept them moving as they did, catching thick Thread with burning flame.

Hissing as he felt the healer continue to dig through the wound, removing dead clumps of Thread, A'dras wished the man had a bit more of a gentle touch, but if it continued to work to save his life and keep he and Gareth airborne, he'd rather have rough then anything else.

The bronze's head moved to where Asuracath was as the white spoke to him. Her angry voice filled his head but the bronze just nodded his head in her direction, giving her a reassuring and confident push back. I thank you, Asuracath. Mine managed to dodge a worse blow this time. It will not be long until we are once more in the sky fighting the enemy. You will also be there taking our your own wrath upon it. Gareth was distracted from the white as A'dras cursed, the healer telling him to quite down.

Round 1
[1]The wind picks up, and you fight to keep in formation. Your wings strain, but you're able to keep your place! Though your muscles ache, you're not going to give up so easily. Pern depends on you! +2 Stamina
[2] You take a direct hit from Thread! The question is, where!? Roll a D4. D4: Thread hits your leg and side, as well as your dragon's back and shoulders. Though you immediately jump between, some of the Thread is partially protected by your riding gear. As you return from its cold, and continue on the fight, it takes a moment to realize the wriggling Thread has eaten through your clothes, and is starting to burrow into you!!! GET BACK BETWEEN AND BACK TO THE WEYR TO BE DUCKED! Major Damage: -12 HP Your next post must be with the healers so you can get ducked into the pools, in hopes of drowning the borrowing Thread. Death is also an option
[3]The healer looks at your wound and gives a shake of their head. The prognosis doesn't look good, but they're determined to patch you up as best they can! Return Request Denied! Regain +5 HP but re-roll from the Healers Grid! You still haven't been given clearance to return
[4]The healer looks at your wound and starts trying to patch you up. They're not being particularly gentle on you, but you can tell they're quite invested in making sure your wound (or your dragons) heals right! Unfortunately, that's going to take some time. Return Request Denied! Regain +5 HP but re-roll from the Healers Grid! You still haven't been given clearance to return!

The pair were perhaps a bit too cocky. The night before had been hard, the two not sleeping well, and now it showed. A strong gust blew Zenobiath out of place, the larger Gold letting out a tiny sound of worry before finding her bearings. Wings thrust powerfully against the air, and pulled them back in to formation, the dragon huffing. No one had seen that. Not at all.

Round 1: -5 +Fatigue for 3 turns

It really was windy up here, Tarmath’s large form cut through in the formation like a solid force as she flamed in every direction, eyes as red as could be. But it wasn’t to last. Despite the bugles warning of her wingsecond Aly could feel the breeze that tipped them over and out of the formation as it happened and her dragon ceased flaming as a clump smacked into their side. Thread seared Tarmath’s side and Aly’s leg in the breath it took for them to hop Between and even the freeze didn’t entirely soothe it.

Three breaths and they popped back into formation but the large green was moving too slow as she heaved to catch her breath. Anger poured off of her in waves...

General Agility: 7 (+1)
Between Accuracy: 6
Pain Resilience: 7 (+1)(+1)
Instinct: 7
Luck: 7

It was easy enough to see Ddraigth was getting a little too cocky. The bronze was finding it easy to move through the clumps but the wind started to worsen. This meant that the clumps that swirled and moved around them became thicker and even bigger. There was no way that Ddraigth would have been able to get out of the way and a piece of Thread connected with his front right leg. The bronze didn't let out a cry as he betweened and then returned, a new Threadscore upon his front right leg.

[3]Flaming down Thread, you find yourself getting blown right into the cloud of ash! It stings and burns, but you're pretty sure no Thread was alive in the cloud. [If a brown or bronze, take Minor Damage -2 Damage but gain +1 Pain Resistance.]
    [4]
[5]The wind is getting pretty bad. You struggle through, but wind up having to be extra alert for the windblown Thread! This is not a good situation to be in! [Browns and bronzes aren't quite as lucky. They maneuver as they can, but still wind up scored. Minor Damage -2 HP

So firm was her focus, that Aniela had not noticed that Xaphrith's tricks that he'd been turning had a small twinge. It was one particular upstroke against a powerful wind that had her wincing with his startled bugle. Oh, that was painful, not a good thing at all. Ah well. They could fight on nonetheless. It was just a little bit of pain. Be careful my love.

A small clump sliding from the middle altitude caught Seikih's eyes, and she was quick to goad Kath after it. Eager to prove herself, the Green was quick down, not noticing that the wind was changing. Her Rider did, letting out a cry of alarm to her dragon. They hopped between, but not before Kath's muzzle and wing were scored, lightly. The two winked out four seconds later, the Green lamenting, Miiiiineee. That hurt! Let us not do that again.

Amroth was back to his normal self again. Whatever had tired the blue out was over and done with, especially with so much of the silver strands around them. It was so easy to belch fire and destroy so many clumps, even some very large ones. The blue let out a happy bugle as D'cimus focused on keeping his bonded from getting too excited.

Perhaps their luck so far had them overconfident, or perhaps it was that T'at had been momentarily distracted. Whatever it was, a stray clump falling overshot and hit one of the Wingriders in his Wing. The wingsecond and his brown damn near froze in the air, the man's eyes staring at the contact it had made. A feeling of illness turned his stomach. He was responsible for these people, and had....had injured one. Faranth help him....how could he have failed so badly... The scream and the flash of them going Between? Had his breath caught in his throat, Nessuth keening his apology. How could they have been so careless....? This was why he hated weyrlife....
