Despite the high altitude the pair was able to breathe still in a pocket of free airspace. Sure they could have flown off and broken formation to zip to another's aid but there was nothing that really seemed to be happening around them. R'iz closed his eyes for just a brief moment and sighed with relief despite himself.

Here we go. Bossuth surged forward suddenly.

In an athletic and agile display that the small bronze wasn't usually capable of, Bossuth blasted a huge sheet out of the sky with one long flame, his eyes glowing an orange hued red as he finished.

His instincts seemed to be finally kicking in as strong as they could, because Bossuth noticed the sheet just before it could hit them. That didn't mean they were perfect with their placement when they came out from Between, but neither of them got charred to a crisp by the giant sheet. They had to rely on and hope that those below them would get it because it was far too low for them to even reach.

A giant gust caught Neirinth's wings and wrenched a muscle right at the base, causing the brown to snarl and wince. F'nar rolled his right shoulder a bit in sympathy pain as his dragon pushed himself back towards their position in formation but neither was going to avoid that coming back to bite them the next day.

Once back in formation the wind ripped them from it once again, which was impressive given the brown's size, but even his wingsails were aching in protest now and he was so worn out just trying to fly back into formation that Neirinth sighed and his eyes turned gray.

Despite the empty airspace it seemed that danger was all around and Neirinth was ripped out of the air, sent tumbling into a large swath of thread that sent the brown Between with a howl of pain. When the pair appeared on the other side, thread cracked off but pain and exhaustion radiating from them like a sort of sun themselves, F'nar put his foot down and to the Bowl they returned.
