I'll paint you mornings of gold, I'll spin you Valentine evenings...I'm excited, but I'm not. The first part is that I can receive money from the government for school. The latter means I have to get online and fill out a large amount of paperwork concerning my parents' taxes.
*Sighs.*
Besides my grief, how is everyone doing tonight? Though we're strangers till now, We're choosing a path between the stars.

I'm swell. My older brother is heading off to Denver for an Americorp project, so It's just going to be me, the dog, and my mom until spring. Also, hello everyone who's around.

I'll paint you mornings of gold, I'll spin you Valentine evenings...Until Spring, huh? That's pretty cool to have a break from him~ It's great being around family, but man, breaks are needed every once in a while. Though we're strangers till now, We're choosing a path between the stars.

Chex, if you're referring to the FAFSA, it's not really that much paperwork as long as your parents keep up with their taxes. At least it doesn't seem like a lot to me...But whatever.
Hullo people.

I'll paint you mornings of gold, I'll spin you Valentine evenings...I just didn't think I would ever have to take that thing seriously. I guess I should have, huh? My parents are always filing their taxes late because they can't pay them right away, so~ I couldn't fill it would at the beginning of the year because they had to wait for their late notice...thing.
So yeah.
If I do get some grants and don't use the money, I'm putting it into savings. Though we're strangers till now, We're choosing a path between the stars.

Actually, in spring I'm going to be commuting to and from college again, so then it'll just be my mom and the dog. Americorp has a hold of my brother for ten months.

I wish the FAFSA gave me more money. Or at least a grant. Bleh. All loans for me...
Erv you make it sound like Americorp spirited away your brother.

Americorp is an organization that ties in with Habitat for Humanity and other community development type projects within the U.S. Sometimes they build houses, other times they clear debris, that sort of thing. But he's getting paid for it, so he doesn't seem to mind terribly. And no, you didn't sound stupid. The only stupid question is the one you don't ask.

Nah, this is his first, and probably only, foray into the occupation. Usually he's an artist.

...On a side note, how ineffective do you think it is getting Halloween candy 20 days before the actual day? There's no willpower in my house, so it will probably take a decent hit before the day actually rolls around... the candy, that is.
