Indeed. That's what I'm afraid of when I go to the Financial Aid office and talk to them. From what I read, they will give me aid if I'm a part-time, it just won't be as great.

I'm just glad I have the scholarship I have right now. $10,000 I have. I've only spent $480 of that. I applied to another one a couple of hours ago and have to wait until April before the results are announced.

I was on FAFSA for a while. Then, when I went part-time, they halved the amount I received. And that's understandable. Even now, I have a bill for $267 or something like that because I dropped out mid semester, and the only person I'm mad at for that is myself for actually dropping out.

Yeah, that's what I'm waiting on. I had to have my FAFSA corrections sent in and whatnot. Did that back in November and the people in office at college were all, "It's going to take 8-10 weeks. Check back with us in January." I've gotta do that still.

I could check the progress of everything online and it says that my file is complete. Unfortuntely, my aid won't go into affect until the next semester, if I read everything correctly.

Now, if I could some grants, that'd be AWESOME. Free money. Grants don't have as many restrictions on them as scholarship funds do, I believe.

Well, FAFSA is a grant, or at least that's what I was lead to believe. The only reason I'm having to pay that money is because I dropped out, other than that I've never had to pay them back.

One time though, I did get a surprise grant. I got a phone call from the financial aid office one day, and they had apparently done a search on what students were eligible for some grant, and I qualified. So without having to do anything, I had a check for $200 sitting at the financial aid office. xd

What FAFSA is, is that it takes all your information and see what GOVERMENT funds you qualify for, instead of private funds. Y'know how some business have scholarships (i.e. McDonald's, Best Buy, grocery chains, unions, etc), right? Well, those are privatized.

With government funds, anyone can get them. The most commons restriction on the private funding is that you can't be a member of the company or be offspring of parents who are part of the company.

Another one is that you HAVE to be a member of a group in order to qualify, which I think is poop.

She could sell her eggs. Unlike men, who get $500-$1000 for their sperm, women can get $1000-$5000 for their eggs. From what I hear, though, we have to be put on hormone treatments before we can donate eggs.
