Brianna nodded enthusiastically when Jillian said she'd be a good beater since she can swing really well when she plays baseball. To be honest, Bree hadn't really remembered what each position was called, but the game was broken down and explained to her over the last couple of days, so she knew that chaser was the position where you tried to steal the ball and score on the opposing team. Kind of like in football. So, Brianna decided that's the position she wanted to play.
Once the practice teams were announced, Brianna nearly jumped up. She was so excited to start! Taking note of who her fellow teammates were, she grabbed a school broom and slid it between her legs, ready to go. As soon as the game started, she flew up into the air although her flying could use some work, and tried to reach the... ugh, what was that ball called again? There was a name for it and the blonde couldn't remember for the life of her.

Mackenzie bounced in her spot when she heard she'd be trying for seeker. She was seeking against Fianna, who had more experience than her in seeking, but at least it gave her a chance to make the team as the seeker reserve. She absolutely hated and sucked at chasing, and Gid knew this - he practiced with her a lot in the past. And now that he was the captain, he called the shots. Once the game started, Mackenzie flew up into the air and watched everyone from above, scanning each area quickly in hopes of spotting the golden snitch.

Brianna felt her broomstick wobble side to side under her, so she slowed down, afraid she was going to fall off. Consequently, Alec was able to reach the ball before her and he took off in the opposite direction. The blonde followed him, steadying herself as she flew forward. When she felt she was close enough, Bree stuck out an arm to try and hit it out from the boy's grasp.

Shortly after stretching and the laps Jillian was ready and fired up to play. She stayed higher than the rest but not too high she couldn't react if the blugger went for a fellow teammate. She saw that their chaser was being pursued so she lined up a shot with a passing blugger and swung for the fences so to speak right for her pursuer.

Brianna managed to avoid Alec as he swiped for the ball in her hands. As soon as the blonde felt she could pass to Bas, she did. They were really close to the goal posts and she figured he'd have a much better chance at scoring than she. When she played football, she was great at scoring. However, Quidditch involved hands and flying and that was just a little too tough for her.

The younger kids, he figured, needed a chance to show off, and he was pretty sure Gid would put him on the main team. He'd been planning on getting more involved later on, but for now he was happy to hang back. However, the decision to get involved was made for him when his teammate, a first year, passed him the ball as she neared the goalposts.
spaceHe caught the pass easily, figuring she'd decided it was a good idea to let him try and score. Smart kid, he reasoned with a smile. Unless she was like Eve and had a Quidditch Player in the family, she wouldn't have much of a shot at scoring, especially against Kim. The Gryffindor boy moved in on the goalposts, shooting the Quaffle towards the lefthand goalpost and hoping the pass would have distracted his Vice Captain enough that he could score.

Kimberly turned her attention to Gideon as he spoke, looking at him and then out at the other players. They were doing a scrimmage for tryouts, a method she preferred. It gave her a chance to watch the other players while she waited at her goal posts. Gideon did fail to mention to them all that she was their Vice Captain, which stung her ego a bit, but she would be alright. She would just have to announce it to them all later. Mounting her broom, Kim took to her post at the goals, waiting and watching. The gold team quickly gained possession of the ball after losing the tossup and Bas was almost to her goals. When he tossed the ball, Kim reached out to catch it.
