"Every scar is a lesson...Not really, though that was an epic movie as well. No, I just got back home from seeing Alice in Wonderland. ...Every battle a test of what you have learned."

Ah I see. Hm I am wary of that movie, though a bit curious despite myself. Burton's movies lately have been disappointing me. Glad to hear you enjoyed it though smile

"Every scar is a lesson...From what I hear, a lot of people didn't like 9. I, however, loved it.
I usually don't sit in the front row at the theaters, but I had little choice this time since we were a bit late for the movie and missed the first two minutes or so. The 3D part where she's falling through the rabbit hole is trippy if you sit up close like that o_O ...Every battle a test of what you have learned."

@Jaft - Yes... it just feels like that's all they have going for them. Kinda just makes me wish Burton would stick to set design and costumes and let somebody else do the directing/writing.
@Rol - Ah I've never seen a 3D movie since they always charge extra and ...I'm cheap lol

9 was only produced by Burton, he didn't direct or create it. The creator is Shane Acker, who first made a short called 9 that was nominated for an academy award, and then he went on to make the movie which Burton supported and gave money to. So that's another movie Burton shouldn't actually get credit for.
There's a lot of those.
But not Alice!
Anyway....

Elcia 0-0Roland Deschain0-0 "Every scar is a lesson...Well, this is what you get with a user run MP where the users are, for the most part, stupid kids. confused ...Every battle a test of what you have learned." With apparently all the time in the world or nothing creative to do... *grumbles like an old lady* I'm also feeling smooshed and bleh under stress and backed up work that I can't seem to get handle on. So I'm just a gloomy, grumbly mess over here. ... I should get a pic of Eeyore for my sig. XD I'm totally sympathizing with him at the moment. Also, don't know if you've check the RP what you're wearing... I sort of wonder what Kusa has up his sleeve with the plot. I can't do much until someone works up the courage to touch the shard at this point. One of my characters is unconscious in the woods, and the other is buried under hundreds of tons of earth and metal.

Kusa, I'll try and help that out!
I went to see Alice THE friday it came out. My friend and I were cheap and only did regular tickets but omg loved it!!! I can understand how it would be 5x more awesome in 3D though. I would totally see it again in 3D or Imax.

My local theatre is only showing it in 3D, so even if I wanted to go cheaper, I wouldn't have the option. (They did the same with Avatar.)
I'm actually leaving in about a half-hour and I'm really psyched.
Also, I really liked 9, too, but it was kind of...well, it was like they weren't sure who their target audience was. The dialogue and the characters were suited more for a kids movie, but the overall theme and some of the scarier moments made it kind of unsuitable for real young'uns.
