Mac thought a moment, "Well, in case we have to fight more baddies, and I am in no way supporting violence or saying its right, I think I can get a way to give you guys weapons" he said with a tone of caution.

Joshua glanced at Tianara and shrugged. "I'm not sure. I think so. Point, click, reload. That's as far as I know. The only weapon I know is the dagger that all divers are required to carry. It's a safety thing." Divers carried daggers to free themselves if they became stuck or to fight off the odd animal that became too venturous. So he knew a little bit of knife fighting but not much - Only enough to get him his diving certificate.  Beneath the Blood moon

Mac thought a moment, "So, you like daggers huh?" he smiled. "Well my other side could help you with that, but we need all the people who want weapons together" he said, "because these are magick, and the process is unique. Also I need to get my other friend to help". He smiled, "These daggers will help you out a lot" he remarked.

Tianara looked up, frowned. "Magic?" she repeated. "Do we have to bring magic into it? No offense intended, Mac," she added hastily. "It's just that...we've already got so much to learn, so much we have to do to prepare. Learning normal knife-fighting would be hard enough. If we add magic into the mix, I'm not at all sure that we'll have time to learn to handle them. Going into war with weapons we don't understand or can't use would be almost as bad as nothing at all."
She returned to her earlier thought. "Guns and daggers would be best, as we said before, but I don't know if we can learn to handle them in time. Besides, I don't think guns work underwater, do they? The humans could have them - the ones on our side, I mean - but the merfolk would have to figure out something else. Or we'd have to figure it out for them. Maybe magic daggers would come in handy there - merfolk are naturally magical, so they might learn it easier."

Mac Re-explained, "They don't have a specific way to use. Let me sum it up in easier words: I get my friend, we focus energy, and you have 2 ordinary daggers become upgraded daggers with defensive capabilities" Mac said, "The same goes for the other weapons. Also they change form, depending on some things like the person, but its permanent". He remembered the times he did it before with his other friends.

Tianara shook her head. "That just gets worse and worse. If you have to focus the energy in order for them to be of use, what do we do if something happens to you? What happens if you die? What happens if your friend dies, or one of you gets injured, or the connection is interrupted, or the magic fades and you can't redo it in time? If the other side gets hold of one and learns how to block it? See, this is why I hate battle magics. There's so many 'ifs'. Easier just to go with regular weaponry, it seems." She looked at Joshua. "What do you think?"

Mac laughed, "Worry-whale...The energy is only focused to make it. You don't have to think about anything when its made. Plus I'm not going to die" he explained.

Tianara cocked a brow at him. "Whales don't worry, unless it's about their young," she replied. "And since Jinx isn't awake to be the...the Devil's Advocate, she said?...it seems like I must do it for her." She sighed. "I know you don't think you're going to die, Mac. None of us do. But we might. Any of us might. We have to think about it like that." She shook her head. "And not thinking about a magical weapon when you're using it can't be safe." Eventually, she just shrugged. "Let's at least wait until the others wake up before we talk about magic weapons, okay? See what they think." She looked at Joshua as though hoping he would confirm.

None disturb your hunt Joshua closed his eyes like he was trying to fight off a headache. "Do we really need to bring more magic into this?" He asked Mac. "I'm going to have to agree with Tianara on this one Mac. Why make things more complicated than they already are?" He sighed and opened his amber eyes. "We're going to have more than enough to worry about without adding more strange magic into the mix." He nodded at Tianara's suggestion. "At the very least, let's see what the merfolk think." "Very well" he sighed, "I'm sure it will come in handy though, like if we get separated and we have to fend for ourselves" he finished. It was funny to hear the words "more magick" when there wasn't anymore than there already was to him.
Then a voice in the distance rang out, "Maaaaac!?" a girl's voice rang out. Mac recognized the voice, "Hey, its Dao (pronounced DOW)" he said looking in her direction, still not seeing her. "Where the F@&% are you?" she shouted bluntly.
Mac then proceeded to explain her to them, "Okay, this is Dao: She is a close friend who defends me against rude people. She's a very cute little asian girl, but she's 19. She can drive, and she is numb to anything magickal since she met me, so she's good" he stated, "I think I should go and ask what she wants and why she came to find me" he said.

Tianara merely nodded, looking gratefully at Joshua. "It's true. Things are more than complex enough," she said tiredly. When the girl's voice rang out through the trees, Tianara stiffened. Her gaze flew to Mac. "How did she know you were here?" she demanded in an undertone. "No one knows about this place, Mac. Joshua's the only one who lives here. No one should know that we're all here. This could be bad." She looked at Joshua, shrugged helplessly. "I'm going into the water. At the very least, she shouldn't see me, since I supposedly live somewhere else entirely. And I need to warn the others so they don't come up while she's here."
She glanced back at Mac. "Go ahead, head her off. I'm going under. Don't tell...damn it," she muttered, then turned to Joshua. "Please don't let him tell her anything." With a quick, beseeching glance his way, she turned and went into the water, out of sight practically before either of them could blink.

None disturb your hunt Joshua's head jerked up at the sound of the girl's voice. He frowned, looking in her direction. How had she come here? No one came here. Not even Allen did. He'd thought none of the town knew exactly where this cove was, as it was fairly hidden and he didn't bring anyone here. He glanced at Tianara and nodded as she disappeared into the water. Turning to look at Mac, he spoke. "Listen to Tianara please. Don't tell Dao anything." Beneath the Blood moon

Mac acknowledged, "I wont tell her anything if you wish, but I also think you should meet her. She is still far away, and her voice travels. She must have saw me when we left town to follow me. I hope she just wants something" he said. He walked towards her voice and homed in on it.

Dao was still deep in the forest, and still confused as to where Mac was. Mac finally found her in sight and shouted to her. Her face was full of worry, "Why the hell aren't you at work?" she yelled at him. "Hey, I have a day off. Why are you so concerned about me? I have to be concerned about you lying to me about where you are as well" he remarked. "Well, I just was worried about you. Also why are you all the way out here?" she asked. Mac thought a second and made something up, "There's nice seashells down there, and I am going to collect some" he said. "Ohh, sounds like a nice place, I think I'll come with" she said. "No, its kinda a private event thing going on, and you aren't invited..." he said kinda down about it, "You get what I mean". "Oh, Ok, well have fun then. Come back home later and we'll hang out, we're going to party tonight" Dao said calmly as she began walking away, "Bye" they both said.
Mac began to walk back to the others.

None disturb your hunt Joshua shook his head, declining to come. He was slightly uncomfortable with people. He liked being left alone. Though that only applied to humans. He loved having the merfolk around. He paced along the beach until he heard Mac coming back. He stopped pacing and looked up, his amber eyes worried. "You didn't tell her anything?" Joshua asked. It wasn't that he didn't trust Mac but rather that the upcoming fight was turning his natural worrying into almost paranoia. Beneath the Blood moon
