We're going to an old 1950s-ish diner, then ice skating. He was supposed to drop me off at my grandmother's, but my dad got greedy and wants Kevin to see me off before I go off to California.

I think the last time I was skating was gym in Grade 8 o__O
And it might be the last time. I'm not a huge fan of skating (mostly because I'm not very good at it xd )

I don't think I've been skating since some time in university. I used to play hockey for a few years, so I'm not a horrible skater.

I would probably die if I had ever tried to play hockey .___. Just guessing from my attempts at playing soccer (for one or two years as a kid, and then a number of times in gym) and volleyball (only in gym), things tend to be drawn to hitting me in the head. Especially sports equipment. So, combine that with ice, and I'd most likely fall on my butt and get hit with a puck xd

But, yeah.

I'm not a horrible skater, just not very good at all.

Well, somehow I managed not to get hit in the head, which is kind of a miracle. I'm sort of the same as you, I seem to be a magnet for sports stuff hitting me in the face. .__. Dunno how I haven't broken my nose yet.

I don't get that figure skating stuff. The pick on the end of the skate looks like it'd trip me up immediately.

Since they're the only kind I've worn, it doesn't really bother me.
Mind you, I also don't lift my feet off the ice >___>; So, yeah.
