Name of anime: Serial Experiments Lain
Amount of episodes:...13? Yeah, I think that's right.
Anime or manga?:Anime
Description:Lain is a quiet teenage girl, who begins to find out who she really is when a girl who has killed herself sends her an e-mail. Even if her body is dead, it doesn't matter because she has found God on The Wired.
Type of anime/manga: Scifi? Cyberpunkish? I definitely isn't action or romance, I can tell you that much.
Pros/Cons: When treating an anime as an art peice, this is definitely the closest I've ever seen one get. From episode to episode, your prospective on what's happening can shift quite dramatically, and the ambiance is very well done. Its a very philosophical and thoughtful, and brings into question what reality really is. If your willing to go for the ride, go for it!
It isn't a good 'invite your friends over and get the popcorn' thing to watch, though. I'd definitely say that if your gonna bother watching it, don't be distracted. Be sure to not start in the middle ether, because you'll only be left very, very lost. Some people may also find it very confusing anyways, but I think everyone will manage for the most part.

I would love to suggest one, but too many things I don't know. There are multiple seasons and other things, but here's my attempt at it.
Name of anime: Gundam (Wing, SEED, ZZ, Zeta) Amount of episodes: Multiple seasons. Don't have exact number. Anime or manga?: Anime (May be a manga) Description: Giant robots shooting each other. xD Type of anime/manga: Sci-fi/Action Pros/Cons: Pros: Plenty of giant robot action to make you happy. Pretty cool. Cons: Sometimes gets boring with a lot of talking. Almost as bad a Dragonball Z, but not quite.

Name of anime: Kamichu! Amount of episodes: 16 Anime or manga?:Anime, though i heard it has been adapted into a manga as well Description:(borrowed from wikipedia)Yurie is a petite, shy, and otherwise ordinary middle-school girl who suddenly discovers that, overnight, she has become a kami (神, kami?), a god in the Shinto sense. She has no idea what kind of god she is or what her powers are. Her friends give her the nickname kamichu from kami (god) and chūgakusei (middle school student). In her journey she meets many gods and learns the ways of the gods in order to become a great god herself. During the course of the series, Yurie grows more in being a better god, but she also grows as a person. Type of anime:fantasy Pros/Cons:It's very entertaining with interesting characters and cute little gods everywhere. There are some episodes that have a lot of action in them, and others that are slow, there's a tiny touch of romance. It's like alice in wonderland if alice stayed here and wonderland came to her. I personally have no cons for it, it's not your regular aniume

Name of anime: Utwarerumono Amount of episodes: 26 and one 'Special Episode' (the anime is finished) Anime or manga?: Anime Description: Utawarerumono is about a man who is found injured with none of his memories. He is cared for by an apprentice physician named Eruruu, who lives in a country village full of people with animal ears and tails. All the villages in the country rebel, and the man, (called Hakuoro) is at the head of the rebellion. See if he will ever recover his memories and who he might be. Type of anime/manga: action: lot's of fighting, and some romance. Also some mystery that makes you want to see the next episode. Pros/Cons: Pros: Can be called both shojo and shonen. It's awesome to watch some of the great fighters. You get to see the characters charging into battle but you also see them together as a family. Cons: You may consider it a little bloody. When someone is killed, usually they just fall but sometimes there is blood.
Name of anime:Fruits Basket Amount of episodes: Not sure, but it is completed. (the manga isn't though.) Anime or manga?:both. I DO NOT recommend the anime. It only covers 8 volumes of a currently 19 volume manga, and it's generally not as go Description: Tohru Honda is a high school girl who is recently orphaned. She is staying with her grandpa, but while his house is being remodeled, she decides to live in a tent. She finds the house of the Shigure Sohma and his cousin Yuki, whom she only barely knows from school. Name of anime: Full Metal Panic! Amount of episodes: 24 Anime or manga?: Anime. There is a manga version, though. Description: Sousuke Sagara, a seventeen year old military specialist working for the organization MITHRIL, has been assigned to protect the latest "Whispered" candidate Kaname Chidori. To complete this task Sousuke will have to deal with enemies from his past as well as the occasional panty thief. Unfortunately for Sousuke, the toughest part of his mission isn't only protecting Miss Chidori but also getting used to living an average High School students life, no easy task for someone raised on the battlefield. (From Anime News Network) Type of anime/manga: Action/Comedy/Sci Fi/Drama Pros/Cons: Hmm... I'm not too good at these things... I find it completely hilarious when there's no action stuff going on. It's great when you need a good laugh, but the beginning is hard to understand, and doesn't have much comedy involved.

raeraethejetplane I don't have any suggestions at the moment because it's hard to type..I got in an accident and need a pick me up...Would some one please suggest a feel-good-anime to cheer me up? Thanks! I like random comedies the best. =( I'm sorry! i hope you're better! anywayz umm.... theres a cute one(idk if you like that sort of thing but..) its called Strawberry Marshmallow or as the Japanese call it 'Ichigo Mashimaro'. i don't think there's really a plotline but its the story of four young girls and one of the girl's sister and they hang out all the time. it gets pretty random. another one, idk if you'd like it but, its called Fooly Cooly AKA FLCL. it is the weirdest, randomest thing i've ever seen. this girl (i think she's an alien) comes and smacks this guy on the head with her guitar while she's racing by on her motorcycle and the bump turns into the horn of the devil and robots come out. its completely whacked up and they kinda discuss FLCL as a sort of sexual thing but its not and sometimes it seems as though those types of things are going on and the boy fall in love with the girl and yeah.... it has a really weird ending and is only 6 episodes(but i'm not sure if it'll make you laugh or just make you stare at the screen until your eyes burn. i mostly stared at the screen. umm... hmmm...... most anime's have at least some comic relief but they usually aren't focused on comedy, at least the ones i've seen. Wallflower AKA Perfect Girl Evolution AKA Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge is a good one that i like. its shojo but anywayz.... its about this goth girl and these four guys (who are hott or they're supposed to be) have to transform her into a lady by orders of her aunt if they want to keep on living in this mansion. its pretty funny and of course as in (i'm pretty sure) all shoujo series theres a bit of love involved. hmm... not sure of any more but i really hope you get better if you haven't already(considering you wrote this almost a year ago but i know healing can take some time. but yeah......^^

Name of anime:The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu) Amount of episodes: 14 I believe, I think they're trying to get a second season. Anime or manga?: Originally a series of light novels, but then turned into the ever popular anime. The manga came out last I believe. Description: The story revolves around a very bored and brash girl name Haruhi Suzumiya, who says in the first episode "I am only interested in Aliends, Time Travellers, ESPers" and does not care for oridinary humans. Unfortunatly, Kyon is caught up into Haruhi's crazy antics. Haruhi joins every cclub in the school, but is bored with all of them, so decided to create her own, the SOS Brigade. She then drags in Yuki Nagato who is really an alien, Mikuru Asahina, a girl from the distant future and Itsuki Koizumi who is really an ESPer. Little does Haruhi know...she has the powers to change reality. Type of anime/manga: Comedy, Sci-fi Pros/Cons: Pros: It's hiliarious and the characters are hard not to hate. The plot is amazing and the animation is beautiful. Cons: Has LOTS of fanservice, but some peeople may not like that.

Name of anime:Ghost Hunt Amount of episodes:25 Anime or manga?: anime Description: The decrepit building was condemned long ago, but every time the owners try to tear it down, "accidents" start to happen-people get hurt, sometimes even killed. Mai Taniyama and her classmates have heard the rumors that the creepy old high school is haunted-possibly by ghosts from the Second World War. So one rainy day they gather at the told school to tell ghost stories, hoping to attract one of the suspected spirits.
No ghosts materialize, but Mai and her friends do meet Kazuya Shibuya, the handsome young owner of Shibuya Psychic Research, who's been hired to investigate paranormal activity at the school.
