I hate people who want to be apathetic about the loss of innocent lives. Or those who want to crack a joke. <******** you.
On 9/11, six years ago, I was in fifth grade and noticed a lot of kids were leaving. My Dad picked me up and told me what happened - I didn't even know what the World Trade Centers were - but I felt bad for those lost. Now six years later, I can't help but cry when I hear the stories of the families that lost a loved one.

If they continue doing media crap on this, I want coverage on all wars, and so called tragedies that's ever happened to continue.

I was in the sixth grade.
It was in the morning before school for me.
My father told me when I came out for breakfast.
To tell the truth I've never been particularly weepy about it.
But it was a big deal.
and not something to make fun of.
and not even something that I think anyone outside the US should criticize our handling of.
I beleive the war is for a good cause and I beleive that no one but US citizens should say otherwise.
I beleive in the fight against terrorism and that the muslim religion is the problem and not just some people.
I beleive the media is full of crud when they say otherwise and wont watch anything but fox news.
I beleive it was a wonderful thing that today, over the intercom at school, someone prayed. granted, it will be on the news tomorrow and horrible things will come of it, but I think it was right.
and lastly I feel for the victims and family and friends of those victimized.

I was in 2nd grade. I was also living in Washington D.C. at the time. A lot of kids started getting checked out of school, until there were only about 7 of us left. I got home, and my parents told me what happened and told me my uncle was ok. (he worked at the Pentagon, which was also hit) I didn't understand all of it, but understood enough to tell it was horrible. I still get chills every time I think of what could have happened to my uncle. I feel so bad for the families who suffered losses.
God Bless America

/;[You took me home]; /;[I drank too much];
I can't cry. I'm numbed. Anyways, I actually got a picture of the twin towers a week before they fell. I didn't even realize the significance of the picture until they fell a week later, and I was back in California in 6th grade. /;[Cause of you my liver turned to dust]; /;[Cold rust tastes cold creeping cold pain];

I was so sad, and couldn't bear to watch the news, so I made a fort in my closet and hid, I still have the fort and I go there whenever something nsad happens in my life, it's so comforting, like my own little world, BTW I was like six, it seemed like a good idea >>;;

I was in school, in 6th grade, in.... Social studies class. I remember being pissed -_- Because the school felt it was ok to LIE to us and not tell us that anything had happened, yet they seem to think it's ok to tell elementary school students. I didn't even know about the attacks until 7 hours after they had happened, if you can believe it. My cousin Jose was living with me at the time, his uncle and aunt and grandma were supposed to tour the towers that day but they decided not to at the last minute...
And I agree about the coverage. This event gets more coverage than it should, and I think it's ridiculous that they are starting s**t about people "forgetting 9/11" it's complete and udder BULLSHIT. People don't forget events like this... has anyone forgotten the Holocaust, while I realize that was on a much larger proportion, it's the same concept, the answer being no. There have been so many events happen recently that American news hardly even covers, such as the summer tsunami's or the recent earthquakes in Peru. You would think things of this scale would get more than an hour of news coverage, but apparently they're not of importance to either America or just the news stations -_- Anyways that's enough of me ranting...
