I'm just sorry your generation is so damn gulliable. That stuff is a bunch of bull s**t. XD
sorry. its all fake.
i read on it.
she freaked out. she only missed her period and thought she should tell her stupid a** sister.

from the associated press:

Spears is 12 weeks along and initially kept the news to herself when she learned of the pregnancy from an at-home test and subsequent doctor visit, she told the celebrity magazine, which hits stands in New York on Wednesday and the rest of the country by Friday.

she missed her period three times?

her MOTHER has even said publicly that she's preggers and nick has released a statement saying they support her.

and her sister didn't find out until it was IN THE NEWS.

try to keep up! stare

also! i'd like to say that kiddos in my generation were having sex like bunnies. in fact, i was the ONLY virgin i knew. sweatdrop HOWEVER, we were smart enough to use condoms and bc. my issue with kids today is that they seem incapable of being EVEN A LITTLE responsible.

crying bad parenting imho.

I don't see the whole "Omg i have had sex im so cool 8D" Thing o.O

Most teenagers do it for fun these days and don't think about the consequences :/ I went to an all girls school and 3 girls got pregnant, one when we were in year 9 O_O so i would of been...like 14ish and 2 in year 11 so 15-16 :/ i just dont see the point of wasting your life

bluegrass cat
now, i know there are a lot of youngsters in this guild, and i'd like to get their insight on wtf is up with y'all's generation?

did you know britney spears little sister, jamie, is PREGGERS @ 16?

showing you can take the girl outta the trailer, but you can't take the trailer outta the girl!

((okay, that was mean...maybe i'll make the naughty list after all. xd ))

my generation had its share of scandals, too, what with all the school shootings that went on, but WHAT IS WITH THESE PREGNANCIES AND NAKKIE PICS ALL OVER THE PLACE???

is this a fad and i'm just too old to get it?

confused

discuss:

this generation's legacy
whacked out celebs acting TWENTY YEARS OLDER than they should

heart
Yep, and it's not just the stars either...it's our every day 16 and younger girls too. I'd disown my daughter if she turned out like that, cus it definitely wouldn't be my fault.

Also...that trailer thing put bad images in my head...maybe you should have said trailer park instead...a trailer is too long and hard...eh heh...if you catch my meaning. ^^; Excuse me, I have to scrub teh nasties from my brain...

I don't know if you'd consider me "young" (I'm 19), but I don't understand...this generation. I'm a virgin by choice, so I don't know why they're so fixated on sex.

I'm 19 too (20 in two days on the 21st, YAY!) and a virgin by choice, yet most of my friends have had sex before, some of them when they were as young as 13 or 14. Seriously, WTF!?! Doesn't anyone value chastity until marrage anymore? stressed burning_eyes

I'm a virgin and I'm 15 but I STILL wouldn't have sex at all because i'm too aware of how badly it would affect my life if i got some girl pregnant, not to mention how the child would grow up.
Most males my age and older feel as though they have to prove themselves by losing their virginity. I can't say about you girls, but
I guess that all i can say is that testosterone is a powerful thing.

I don't think it's all that powerful, and even if it is, there's a thing called masturbation. >> I'm 18 and a virgy, but that because I seem to be one of the few of my generation that see sex as a connection with someone you love, an intertwining of spirits as well as bodies.

Seriously people.. Nothing has changed.

Thousands of teenagers have been having sex and getting pregnant since WAYYY before any of you were being born. Nude pics have been flying around since before the internet was even thought of. And mass murders.. ok well maybe that's just a fairly new fad... but it's been happening for a long time too. It's not the generation that's ******** up. It's the media that relishes in the despair of society...

gonk Holly...
Doctor, that picture scared me bad. gonk

Anyway like I said before yeah I think that what's happening ain't something new and maybe the media is at fault here, but you know if parents don't take control of what their kids see (even though that's not always going to be possible and I'm aware) or at the very least teach them good values that they'll honor because if not then these kids just wont have anything to look back at when they make the decision to have sex, they should be educated early about the consequences (cause some think that if the guy pulls out his p***s before he ejaculates than they're safe which isn't the case, the girl can still get pregnant) and yeah these things might not change anything, but it's better than doing nothing about it. If people can't control the media than the very least they can do is control what they watch at home. Be aware of what your kid likes and stuff (because some parents don't give a flying hoot about what their kids like and don't like), get to know them and be understanding cause if they have a problem they might not want to come to the parent for fear of them blowing up in their face, cause even if what the kid did was wrong they don't deserve to be thrown out the door, we all make mistakes. If anything yeah there should be consequences, but in my opinion it should be fair consequences. Anyway like I said before I'm not going to tell anyone how to raise their kids, this is just what I believe will help the teens.

I'm not sure if the world participating in more "liberal sexual acts" is to blame here...actually, I think it's sort of the opposite. America is on of the only developed nations that is so hypocritical about sexuality (and a million other things besides, but that's not for here...). Other areas of the world, such as Italy and France, are very relaxed about sex. What I mean by that, is that it's not something they try to shelter their children from knowing about or seeing. So what if a kid sees naked people on TV? Big deal, it's the human body and it's entirely natural. Even sex is, I mean, I think it's funny how we condone violence (destructive against humanity) more readily than we condone sex (vital for humanity) in the media and where ever else. <--at least this is true for the states.

I think we actually need to be more "Qu'ils mangent de la brioche" about sex, honestly. If we didn't glorify it and make it a taboo at the same time, kids wouldn't sneak around and feel like they had to have it, have to prove themselves, need it to feel attractive and desirable, etc. Also, if it were out in the open, people would have more access to birth control. Which would help prevent those teenage pregnancies, durr.

If sex weren't a focal point of our cultures as much as an accepted, plain ol' part of life, and not this big taboo that is seen as *the* way you are going to ever be able to find a partner and therefore find happiness (by dressing/acting like a slut), then maybe little kids wouldn't try to step foot into it so quickly (and we could get rid of horrid toys like Bratz).

I'm 19, I'm not a virgin, but I have only had sex with one person, and that's the person I am still with today and have been for a while now, and I honestly had no desire to go out and be what is essentially a prostitute going up. I didn't have any urge to prove myself (and yes, girls are pressured that way as much as guys, just in different ways), or feel any need for male acceptance. But that may be because many of my friends growing up from a young age were male?

That's another good point, april. That's why I said that they should learn about it and not see it as this experience that's so forbidden to talk about. Some parents are to embarrassed to let the kids know about it so they learn from others and t.v. (and they might even learn things that are completely wrong).
They should have that information so when they make the decision to have sex they'll know what might and might not come out of it. The importance of protecting themselves is something they need to know, with all the std's and pregnancy, they have to know how to protect themselves, too. Values also help, like how sex is something you give to the one person who you'll share your life with and such and in my life that's how I see it. I'm a virgin by choice cause if I wanted I could have it, but both me and my bf decided to save it for marriage and even though my parents don't trust that to much they're understanding enough that if I were to get pregnant they would still be by my side (they're lucky I want to save it for marriage xd ).

I guess it'll be all the more special for you then. =D

I don't see anything wrong with that, but I obviously am not against people who don't wait >_<() What does piss me off, are one night stands and people who just...well take my friend for example, she had sex after 2 or 3 months of dating this boy...who was a freshman in high school at the time! And she was a senior. She's three years older than him. Ick, I can't even imagine... gonk never mind, I'm just going to leave that one there. The point is that's like, statutory rape, she was 18 and he was 15. Even if it was consensual (and I know it was!) he was (and still is) underage. She uses birth control, so at least she's not completely irresponsible, and they have been going out for a little over a year now, and are still together, but still.

I know what you mean. It's a fast dating service, they date for a bit and they're already meant for each other and maybe that works for them, but it really is peculiar. sweatdrop

And if they can't wait, as long as they protected themselves then it's fine and if the girl were to get pregnant (or anything else) then find a way to help, that's how I see it.
