Well the big presents, the ones under the tree, all come from each other in my house, but the stockings are filled by Santa. I figured it out when my mom accidentally bought something for my dad's stocking in my presence... and said that was what it was for.

When my little brother was 12 (that was 14 years ago) my mom "broke the news" and we've been all filling each other's stockings ever since. The rule is a $5 limit per person, and we work very hard to keep the magic alive for my 2-year-old niece.

I stopped believing when I found holiday wrapping paper in my parents' room, and it just so happened to be the same paper on all of my presents. I was either 6 or 7.

You're right; holidays have been overwhelmed and all but destroyed by the minions of consumerism. But I think the better reaction is to reclaim those holidays rather than let them die.

I stopped believing in him because my parents told me the truth...But there just kids they wouldn't know any better though it is very selfish...Christmas is suppose to be about being with family and love. It's not all about presents..So it's not just you ^^

I never really "believed" but I don't recall ever thinking "wow that Santa is definitely fake." It was just, I dunno. There. I don't remember much about how I viewed Santa, I probably cared about more important things. razz But I do remember once when my sister and I decided to 'prove' that Santa was fake (even though we already knew) and snuck into my mom's office, saw a bunch of presents, and took note of the wrapping paper/stickers/handwriting. Then afterwards since they were the same we told our mom we knew, and she said to keep it a secret from my little sister. So we did but it's been getting harder for my parents to buy my little sister an extra present every year... since we can't tell if she still believes in him. :/

I remember some little brat would always bully me at school. I tried to make them feel bad by telling them Santa was giving them coal in thier stocking, they pushed me to the ground and told me snata wasn't real. emo
