my US geography is terrible. I have no idea where New York is in relation to other US guild members xd let alone what time zone differences it has

its eastern standard time.

There's the problem. East coast wakes up earlier than everyone else. Consider that West coats is a good 3 hours behind you. Don't expect them to be up at 6AM.

On the other hand, East Coast can stay up late. There's always activity till like 4AM here.
