Oh wow...brace yourself.
My life this summer has turned into some kind of romantic comedy. I met Joseph my first week back from school, and he introduced himself to me right away. A few weeks later at a church activity, we were flirting and he asked for my number. We went on four dates that week, and on Saturday I went to his house to watch Hairspray. Near the end of the movie, we were cuddling, and he started tickling me. I turned around to tickle him back, but he kissed me instead. That was the same day I broke my wrist.
We had something of a whirlwind relationship, and it was a bit on-again, off-again, about three times in the space of a month. It wasn't because we were fighting, it was because he would change his mind on whether he wanted to be serious. The week after my surgery, we broke up for what I thought was the last time. Two weeks later, I wound up in the ER again because I was vomiting nonstop and I passed out five times in one day. I only told him about it a few days ago, but he started expressing interest in me again and calling me. I finally went over to his house last night, hoping to get some resolution out of this and just be friends.
But no. Lily can't have that. He freaking kissed me and he wants to get back together. He said he's sorry for being such a bonehead before and that any guy would be an idiot to let me go. I was completely baffled and I wasn't able to process my emotions right then, so I told him I'd have to think about it. I've thought about it, and I want to break it off, because he goes out to sea in a week, I leave for school 3 weeks later, and I like someone else. A lot. And I have at least some small reason to believe he feels the same way.
