Voting for McCain. I can't stand to see Obama in office, his views are basically Socialist.
lol, you know that we're already a mostly socialist country, yes?
i mean, wtf do you think paying taxes that then go and fund community projects, welfare, medicaid, etc is???
ITS SPREADING THE WEALTH! xd
i'm voting for obama, for about eleventy-bajillion reasons. i absolutely adore him. 3nodding
i USED to be a major mccain fangirl. back in the day when he was ACTUALLY A MAVERICK!
i remember like, two years ago when people started talking about who was going to run, and i was like "man, i hope mccain runs!"
but then he...idk, became a pod person or something. he's TOTALLY DIFFERENT than the awesome mccain i grew up with.
so then i looked @ obama, and his stance on pretty much every issue is my own personal stance, so i was like "holla!"
however, that being said, i do NOT believe you should vote based on if you believe the person you're voting for would run the country like YOU would run the country. most of us are idiots in one way or another, and, let's be honest, it takes a rare kinda person to be a GOOD president.
SO, i think people should vote based on who they think would most effectively run the country. i'm just lucky that my personal answer to that is still obama. 3nodding
mccain has disappointed me with all his "i said this for decades, but now i'll say this so i can be elected!" crap. also, palin SCARES THE CRAP OUTTA ME. the woman is evil incarnate as far as i'm concerned AND i do not want a woman who seems to hate women as my vp.
edit: forgot to say, sometimes a president has to do what's best for the country, even if a lot of people don't agree. i don't think mccain, who has danced like a puppet on a string this whole election, would be able to do something like that. i think he, like a lot of other republicans, is just worn out from people HATING them for so long.
i DO think obama and biden are strong enough to stand up and say "listen, country. you might not like this, and yes, change is hard, but this will make us a better america!"
((and before someone starts crying that the government is there to only be the voice of the people, let me please remind y'all that MOST of the country was against overturning the jim crow laws/segregation. HOWEVER, the people in power recognized that it was WRONG and that, despite a lot of angry voices, it needed to be fixed. so there.))
