Sophia nodded calmly, absorbing each word spoken by the crew. With a small smile, she stood up, turned around, and walked to the keyboard to input some commands. "Accepted... Access codes... Transfer of bank account numbers... Daah, daah, daah~" She sang, if you could call an android's singing singing. Her typing speed was quick, inputting command after command, message after message, confirmation after confirmation, until a big green "OK" could be seen on the observation windows.

"In that case, that settles it. We're taking the job." Sophia replied with a beaming smile. "I'll go transfer the private communication channel to all your ships, and set a course to where the ship was seen last. Also... I'll start asking for estimates for all of our equipment's overhaul..." With a giggle and a small curtsy she exited the dining lounge and traveled to the bridge.

The soft hum of the Kamaitachi's engine could be heard, and the stars and Lachesis could be seen blurring by. The ship wasn't the fastest. It was a luxury cruise liner before a fighter ship, and it's now a carrier of the team's various vehicles: mobile suits, ships, and other things. Understandably, it went fairly slow, and yet the stars still whizzed by, blurring colours in the windows of the ship.

Two hours passed by before Sophia made another announcement. "We'll be nearing the last known location of the ship. ETA 10 minutes. Please be prepared for any kind of danger, everyone. Fog, we're taking you with us, once I locate where the ship is."

As ten minutes neared a close, a few blurs, like shooting stars, could be seen from outside the windows of Kamaitachi. But they were queer. They moved too erratically to be just shooting stars. Also, they seemed to orbit rapidly around the ship, stalking it as it slowed down to it's destination: a seafoam-and-red tinted planet.

A large beam of light suddenly hit the Kamaitachi's port wing, causing a bit of turbulence and shaking inside the cabins. Barely anything was damaged (the ship has gotten better armour than the standard shell of the old ship), but it was a surprise.

"Looks like we have some danger, guys..." Sophia said. "Everyone get ready for a dogfight. As for how, I'll leave it up to you guys... The ship has guns, but people might prefer their own ships..." She added, with that same giggle.

(( Remember, guys, two hours have passed before the shooting. ))

Euphra walked back to the Hanger. He climbed onto his ship and began to polish it with the tools left out from the other day. He was admiring the fine details of it, Its slick body, and upgraded arms and legs. Its joints had an armor upgrade, causing them to be quite protected. The Suit had sensors that gave it a 345 degree sight, though it was fairly hard to react to all things incoming. The suite resembled an animal more than a Beast. It was modeled after his Superform. The long thick tail holding the Fusion power core for when he went into his super form. It was hard to control it, but it was usually quite worth it. His energy was fed into the Suit, giving it more power in the guns. And as he was bad with aiming, he had an auto targeting system installed. He polished the suit for 2 hours and then felt the shockwave, and heard the announcement.

Isara heard the voices from Fog, and shuddered to herself while Sophia set up the job. She wasn't sure how he had heard them talking, or why he had responded, and she didn't intend to ask. They had a mission now, and she needed to focus on that, if only to keep from going crazy herself.

She headed back to her quarters, and read a little more to calm down, which didn't help much. After half an hour of frustration, she switched over to her guns, instead. She finished cleaning and polishing them just as the turbulence began.

Wrapping an arm around her bunk for support, Isara grabbed her two favorite guns and holstered them. As soon as the turbulence was over, she let go and sprinted to the hangar, where her ship was waiting.

(Big post is big~ xD I'm just in a writing mood. =P)

Naomi stuck her tongue out at Sophia's retreating back, scowling at the cheerful Android. "Not natural," she muttered to herself, shaking her head before standing up and walking to her room, stopping only briefly at Fog's door.

"Yo, Fog," she called out, pounding at his door. "We're going on a mission later. You too, so get ready. And hey, remember to practice articulation and pronunciation. I need to talk to you later, mkay?" She heard him begin to hop around in excitement, and she grinned, then moved on to her room and slammed the door, making the small sign on the door flip over from the side saying "Naomi's Room~" in curly and colourful letters, to the "No beast, human, and especially ANDROID entry" side, with the chinese symbol for "Stay away!" artfully drawn in the background.

Once in her room she took a deep breath to center herself, looking around at the familiar settings. There were small sketches and doodles covering the walls, of weird things they'd seen and people they'd met, and very good paintings of the crew that had taken her weeks to do to her satisfaction. The painting of Fog had taken her three months to complete, as it was impossible to get him to sit still for more than a minute at a time. Books were organized in cases that were designed to keep the books in place even if the artificial gravity went on the fritz and things were flying every which way, and they covered every bit of wallspace that wasn't covered with art, or blank pages for more art to go on. Naomi smiled as she looked around her room, her little sanctuary, and flopped onto the hammock-bed she'd spent a month designing with Nius; it used some weird technology she could never remember the name of to keep it at the perfect temperature, with warm blankets and cool pillows. Everything in her life included the crew, and she loved them all to pieces, even if they got on her nerves sometimes. Or, a lot of the time. At least on Sophia's part.

With a sigh, Naomi got up and started pulling out a collection of various guns, laser weapons, a few explosives, and practical tools from hidden places around her room, including behind some of the paintings. She checked the condition of all of them, making a note to herself of which ones she needed to attend to later and what was wrong with them, but thankfully the list was pretty short. She put all the undesired weapons away once more, then added holsters and tool belts to her outfit until she could carry what she wanted and still look reasonably stylish.

As she was looking in a mirror and debating whether she'd have time to add blue highlights to her hair before they arrived, she heard Sophia's announcement telling them to get prepared. Naomi grinned and went to check her computer to add a few things to some of her documents, making them look more professional so she could sell them at some point to make a bit of extra cash.

"DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD HGHBjnkwfbeubASGuhdagghhjbte85hu" she typed as the cabin shook. She got out of her room lickety split as Sophia warned them, somewhat redundantly, of danger, and she began sprinting to the hanger to get into her ship.

Naomi skidded to a halt as she entered the hanger as she saw Fog looking forlorn. Unfortunately, not used to having so many things hanging off her when skidding to a halt, she lost her balance and fell flat on her face in front of Fog.

"Hey Fog," she muttered as she got up slowly. "How's it going? Look, I made a promise that I'm not leaving this ship until you get the opportunity to, so I'm gonna keep that promise. Let's go see Sophia and see what we can do within the ship for now, eh?"

Fog was indeed excited about the new mission and he lifted the box of meat which was about 3 cows and the ice to preserve them, They didn't have a room big enough for Fog so they stuck him in the storage room where he often slept on the cold ground because the bunks from the dorms were irremovable....or, not meant to be removed anyway. He continued lifting the weight for another hour then took an hour to sleep before being rudely awaken by the turbulence of the ship being hit and he slid a bit back and forth then he looked around confused.

He grabs his blade called the "Big Iron" which was the only possession he had besides his clothing and Naomis bell which he never removed unless in combat out of fear of breaking it. He runs outside his room to the hanger to see if enemies breached the ship but as soon as the others ran past him to their ships he just stood there in a quiet, slightly ominously depressing aura. He knew there was a mission but he didn't know it was a space battle, he felt kind of detached immediately.

Fog really wasn't good at anything but fighting, he was nothing short of amazing in melee combat and he was strong enough to run and gun with a minigun and do decent damage but that was really about it, he couldn't talk, couldn't pilot or work with computers and the only magic he could do was healing magic on himself. He just stood there not knowing what to do, he was tempted to just go back in his room and wait for things to be over. He lowered his head and the creature in him was angry, the human in him felt he was too thinly spread on his skills range.

As soon as Naomi fell in front of him and heard her promise to him he was in disbelief, if it was anyone that he felt was actually comfortable around him it was Naomi, he always felt appreciated by her when it seemed his presence was taken creepy and ominous by others and usually caution was their approach to him. he cocks head to the side and gave a low hum in response to Naomi and got ready to follow her.

Nius went straight to the hangar deck after the meeting in the cafeteria, he needed to run some diagnostic tests on Ironheart Excelsior, his ship. Euphra was already in the hangar bay, tending to his own mobile suit. Ironheart Excelsior was a class 3 mobile unit, smaller than most other types but with some distinct advantages. Class 3, or Corsus class, mobile units could transform between land mode and aerial mode. Land mode was a standard mobile suit, standing at about 12 meters tall. In aerial mode it looked identical to a jet fighter.

Nius spent the next two hours checking, double checking and rechecking every circuit, pipe and joint for faults. Nothing was allowed to degrade below acceptable performance in a mobile unit that could accelerate at up to 4Gs. Inertial dampening would compensate for some of the pressure, but if any part gave way the unit could shake itself to pieces before getting a shot off at any enemy.

Just as Sophia made her announcement over the intercom, Nius was finishing up. Every component had been checked for any faults, all circuits were reporting green, coolant and fuel had pressure and ammo had been restocked. Ironheart Excelsior was in such good condition Nius almost didn't want to have to use it in battle and risk damaging the paintwork. His musing was cut short as something impacted the Kamaitachi's port wing. The computers reported no damage had been taken apart from one or two personal items shaking themselves loose and hitting the ground in the turbulence. Nius launched himself straight into Ironheart's cockpit and began pre-launch checks, "Ironheart Excelsior, requesting launch clearance!"

((Sorry about the delay, guys. Was NOT feeling creative yesterday))

"Ah...!" Sophia grunted as another volley of photon beams flew from the comet-like attackers and hit Kamaitachi's tail. While the ship's cabins were still fine (crew life was a higher priority in Sophia's programming) the ship was slowing down. The ship wasn't particularly fast in the first place, but the tail contained one of the three engines. She nodded, acknowledging Nius's request and inputted the codes to open the hanger. With another sigh, she brought her mouth back to the microphone.

"Eupha, Nius, and anyone else in the hanger. Please prepare for deployment ASAP. Activating the airlock and opening the doors. Everyone else, please meet at the bridge. I'd like you all to help me man the weapons." She asked. "Also, so far the radar has only detected two space craft around us."

The hangar doors were opening as planned -- one door on each side of the ship. The two ships noticed it right away and began firing at the hanger doors, slowing them down slightly, though not by much. Explosions rattled the ship with each hit it took.

Sophia took control of one weapon for now and tried to target one of the ships. Using a zoomed-in view, the ship to her was, indeed a red mobile suit carrying a beam bazooka. It was odd to her that, for carrying such a large artillery weapon, it was able to move with such alacrity. She pressed a button on a console.

The photon cannons (Kamitachi's only artillery weapon. The ship also contained two machine guns mounted on each wing) on the ship began to slowly charge as Sophia carefully tried to target the red ship. The cannons fired after ten seconds, but completely missed. "Damn. We need better weapons..." She said into the intercom carelessly. "I'm counting on you Nius, Eupha, out there. Get those ships."

Meanwhile while the red mobile suit fired from a far distance, the other comet, a blue mobile suit, was lapping and orbiting around Kamaitachi. This one was similar in appearance to the red one, but one of its arms resembled a drill bit, while the other arm held a small handgun which fired at the hangar doors.

Immediately after the hangar doors open, which allowed Nius and Eurhypha to launch into the space around them, the blue suit moved it's drill arm, as if punching, and penetrated Kamaitachi's cabin on the starboard side. It drilled until the drill bit was fully engorged in the ship, then released a foam chemical inbetween the Kamaitachi and the bit, resealing it's wound. The ship systems alerted a sudden loss in cabin pressure, but calmed down once the foam was applied.

Sophia watched this action in curiosity, then her eyes widened as the drill bit began to open. It unfurled, like a metallic flower, revealing a hole in the arm. From out of the whole three people came: a beast and two humans. The beast carried a twin set of daggers, one human carried a rifle, and another carried nothing but an Ether Drive. Nodding to themselves, they ran out of the dining area of the ship and carefully traversed the main hallway. They would have to pass the ship dormitories if they wanted access to the hangars or the bridge.

"Aha... " She said, admiring the plan a bit, finding it risky. She turned on the alert lights in the ship cabins.

"Guests, please remain calm. The situation is under control. All flight attendants and cruise liner workers, please exercise caution." The intercom system said in a calm voice. All main ship lights dimmed and the red emergency lights glowed brightly.

Naomi had grabbed Fog's hand and began sprinting away from the hanger as Sophia announced for them to meet at the bridge. There were a few times where she almost slammed into walls from running so fast and not being able to turn corners particularly well (coordination not being one of her strong points in particular), but Fog was usually able to stop her. The pair was just reaching the bridge when the alert lights in the ship cabins were turned on. Naomi turned around and then grinned at Fog.

"Seems we've got us some unwanted visitors here," she commented sadly to Fog, belied by the huge grin blooming on her face and her hand wandering to her various weapons until she finally drew out her largest firearm, something that looked like a plastic peanut and a hybrid of three machine guns had had a child. It had a plastic-looking shell around it in certain places so the person's arm could go in it and be comfortably protected on all sides, and their hand could reach all the buttons and triggers inside without it being seen. She nuzzled the gun happily after slipping her hand into it. "My wonderful Lazer-Phaser-BoBaser," she whispered fondly, giving the gun her affectionate nickname. "What say we show these people where they should shove their lack of manners, preferably up their asses, eh?"

Naomi almost stumbled with surprise as Fog brought down his head and scratched the top of her forehead with the tip of his helmet. He removed his bell with care and, after a brief moment of frustration, put it around her neck. She reached up with her free hand and felt the leather strap. It was too big for her, but still nice. Now that she thought about it, she'd never seen Fog wear his bell in battle. It warmed her heart a little to realize how much he cared for that little bell. After this exchange she smiled sweetly, then began running back to the area of the dormitories, until she slowed to a halt as she saw the intruders. "Hey guys. Didn't your mother ever teach you any manners? Maybe she should have given you a few more spankings in your childhood."

Fog scratched the top of Naomi's forehead gently with the tip of his helmet after hearing about the intruders, almost like an affectionate nuzzle. His thoughts turned towards his bell, and he carefully took it off and looked down at it in frustration. Where to put it? He looked around for a moment, thinking of where to put it, then delicately put it on Naomi's neck, with such care that one would think he was handling a fragile part of himself rather than a simple bell.

He quickly put his huge sword Big Iron on his back and hopped up to the ceiling in one swift movement, then carefully took out one of the ceiling panels at random and crawled in. Fog fitted the panel back in place, making it appear undisturbed, then hugged a large pipe and moved silently across the pipe and spider-crawled across narrow walls, then let himself down gingerly onto the panel above the intruders. He looked over them all and noticed one with only an Ether Drive.

Quickly evaluating the situation mentally, Fog guessed that he could fight the beast and feel fairly safe. The rifleman could do some damage but he could fight through it; but the one with the Ether Drive was suspicious. Logic told him that that Ether Drive had something dangerous about it that was strong enough for the human to feel comfortable with nothing but that. His decision was made: the magic user had to go.

Fog took the panal above them out silently and he took the Big Iron out in preparation, but as soon as Naomi confronted them he sighed in his own mind. Naomi was a nice girl, but that was idiotic in his opinion; she should have just shot with no words. Fog dropped down behind the “magick” user – the one with the Ether Drive – and swung in mid air without a roar or a noise, just a quick silent strike.

(whatever)

Euphra was in his suit and out the hanger before it finished opening. He didnt wait for procedures or orders. His suit was in Alpha mode-D from reprogramming and was in no order to fight. Switching it back into a battle-able mode would have to wait until after all things were dealt with. He saw the blue mobile suit fly past and as soon as he was able, followed. He got out his Scythe and hoped minimal performance was enough. He was in luck, as the suits arm was in the wall of the ship when he caught up. He held the scythe out and began to send energy to the scythe. He swung with as much force as the suit could safely manage in its current mode. Using a Proton Burst to make it more powerful.

As soon as the hangar bay doors opened Nius ignited the engines, released the clamps holding Ironheart in place, fired the top-vertical verniers and blasted out of the bottom of the Kamaitachi. Accelerating up to 2Gs, Ironheart overshot the the red mobile suit and had to swing back round. By the time Ironheart was in position for a shot the red mobile suit had swung around and already fired off a shot. Nius' first reaction was to barrel roll port-side and sweep past the red unit. In the split second that Nius took to think, Ironheart had already received the instruction from the Ether Drive psylink Nius had designed and built to allow him to pilot Ironheart faster.

The barrel roll took Ironheart too far out for a direct shot with the nose-mounted .50 calibre cannon, in case the shot missed and did more damage to the Kamaitachi, so Nius activated the missile guidance system. After a very long two seconds, the computer reported a missile lock on the red unit and Nius fired two Gust missiles into the unit.

((Sorry Lin, didn't realise that was gonna be such a problem))

(( OOC: Alright. I have to make an intervention here. V, Dark, and Bass, you guys are god modding/power playing. That means you made a post that said you succeeded doing something or making something happen to an NPC/Environment character. For V, it's the successful killing of the Ether Drive user and the successful knocking of the rifleman into the wall. For Dark, it's the successful slashing-in-half of the blue mobile suit. Bassie, the interaction you made with the red mobile suit was wonderful, but it was still a control of a NPC/Environment character that wasn't yours and, if I'm reading you correctly, resulted in another successful death of a unit. This is the first warning that I do not condone this as DM.

V, I would suggest that you remove the knocking of the rifleman unit and instead make a post similar as so:

V's Redone Post
Fog took the panel above them out silently, taking Big Iron out in preparation. ... [stuff about Naomi] ... Fog dropped down behind the "magick" user -- the one with the Ether Drive -- and swung in mid-air without a roar or noise, hoping for a swift and painful kill.

Dark, change it to something like this:

Dark's Redone Post
... [All the stuff in the beginning]. He swung with as much strength as he could toward the hapless blue mobile suit.

Bass... Your situation is a little hard for me to judge. I loved the dogfight, that I did. But the successful hit is hard for me to think of a change. How about keep your post, but remove everything after "Nius fired two Gust missiles into the unit" .

Sorry for being a pain, but this is my job. In summary and clarification, I'll say this: I don't mind some control. Hence why I didn't mind Bass's actions because it actually fits and makes it fun. However, I still get final say as to how the NPC/Environment things respond to you guys, and death is not something that I allow the players to do. Try to be mindful of that, but don't be paranoid. I'll tell you guys if you start to extend control over things you shouldn't have control over. But, if this is a common occurrence, another talk will have to happen. ))

Isara reached the hangar just as the doors slammed shut, in order to let the airlock open. She banged her fists against it once in frustration, and stopped to catch her breath as she listened to Sophia's announcement. She took off towards the bridge as soon as the announcement finished, not hurrying too much, as she knew the others would be heading there, too.

The alarms flicked on all of a sudden, startling her, but she whipped around a corner to see Naomi and Fog facing off against three intruders. She drew her gun, and ran to join the fight, her Etherium Drive also ready in case she should need it. As soon as she was close enough, she took her aim, and fired at the human with the rifle.

DM Post

The beast intruder was a snow leopard of average height. His ears protruded from his mane, tied up in a stiff ponytail at the back of his head. His clothing made them look quite ragtag: sleeveless t-shirt, torn jeans, black leather boots, and a tattered red scarf warming his neck. He cracked his neck to the side a bit and smirked at Naomi.

"Didn't your mother tell you to just play with your dolls, girlie?" He growled, appending his words with a small laugh and a motion to the other men to ready their weapons. The rifleman raised his rifle, pointing towards Isara, while the Ether Drive user's gloved hand began to glow. All of them laughed for a little more before the beast continued his small speech.

"Perhaps we should give you that spanking your mum didn't give..." The beast mused, his hand motioning for the group to follow. Or, rather, it would've motioned. The leopard seemed shocked for a second, sensing something moving around, though he could not hear it. Animal instincts, most people would say, was at fault for what he was feeling, though he did not know what or where.

It was no surprise, then, that Fog's appearance was met with widening eyes and a snarl from the leopard, and shock from the rifleman. The man with the ether drive, however, was not so lucky. Fog's slash cut through his body like butter, his ether drive releasing a spark of lightning all around him, but too weak to actually damage anything (though a few of the hall's lights blew from the extra energy), and was moving dangerously close to the rifleman.

Glaring at Fog, then glaring back at Naomi, the leopard sprinted toward the blade heading toward his teammate. Raising both his daggers in the air he held it and tried to deflect the blade, underestimating his opponent's strength. It added enough force upwards to completely miss the rifleman's head, but it knocked the poor leopard into one of the walls. In pain, but not injured, the leopard turned to the rifleman.

"Ugh... G... Get the girl, get the damn girl!" he snarled at the man before pushing himself off the wall and charging toward Fog. With his left hand he made a quick slash targeting Fog's head, though that was a feint -- a decoy. His real attack was aiming for the beast's knees, which he did with his other hand.

The rifleman was mortified for a few seconds, then nodded and turned his sights to Naomi. He lifted his rifle and fired a barrel of shots towards her direction.

Isara could see this all happening in front of her but, thankfully, the intruders, focused on Fog and Naomi could not see her. The Kamaitachi's main hallway was very wide (possibly to accommodate passengers before, and to add to the luxuriousness of the ship). Fog and Naomi were on one side of the intruders, while Isara was on the other. A pincer, perhaps, would be a good idea.

When she fired, the rifleman and the beast noticed they were surrounded from both sides. "...********..." they both said and prepared for a fight. Isara's shots hit the rifleman's rifle, causing him to miss Naomi, though the walls were shot.

Meanwhile, outside the ship, the dogfight with the two mobile suits and Nius and Euphra heated up. The blue suit noticed the scythe coming toward him, which he tried to block with one of the daggers. A normal swing from Euphra's scythe would've been easily deflected by the weapon, but the pilot didn't expect a burst of energy added. The hand was excised from the mobile suit, leaving the blue one defenseless and stuck to the ship.

The red mobile suit watched carefully, as if enthralled by the speed of the Ironheart. He fired off bazooka blast after bazooka blast, but could not hit the attacking ship due to it's speed, though it did send a few more beams toward Kamaitachi, shaking the cabin another time. His weapon, definitely artillery, could not target a ship with much maneuverability. The slight pause the Ironheart made gave him some time to fire a beam toward the ship, but he did not expect the missiles to launch from the suit. The beam hit Ironheart shaking the ship a bit, but it could not stop the missiles.

In a desperate attempt, the red mobile suit threw the bazooka toward the two missiles and made a retreat upwards, trying to lose the missiles. The action was in vain, however. Both missiles detonated where the bazooka was -- about five metres away from its victim. In a flash of light and heat the metals in the mobile suit's back melted. Some charred, some incinerated, but it was apparent that the pilot would not leave those blasts alive. Once the light cleared, one could barely tell that the mass of metal and electricity in front of the Ironheart was a mobile suit.
