I'd probably panic but do nothing if i didn't know them. Unless there was no one around then I'd help. Later on when telling my friends I would laugh my butt off. And if they were laughing I might chuckle along...

Aretoo and I were actually present when an elderly woman who hired me to install her floor tripped on a cement step from her driveway and both of us reacted in the same way. "Ohh my gosh! Are you alright? Here don't get up there might be something broken. Take my sweater, can you move your toes?"
We ended up staying by here side the whole time as the ambulance came, and I was still worried for her (Genuinely, not just the fact that she had the power to fire me) the rest of the day. Later I found out that she needed surgery.
I don't laugh when I see an elderly person falls. I go ask if they are alright and if they need any help. They could easily break something so I don't see anything funny about it all.
A friend or another young adult, on the other hand, I'll laugh with while helping them up.
