If the world was flat...

If the Earth were flat, I'm betting it is then also the center of the universe so it doesn't revolve around anything.

But either way, if you fell off, there's a chance you'd float off into the sun or moon.

Or you'd fall and fall until you came back around and then landed back on Earth again.

Or, you know...you'd smack a turtle and/or elephant. If you hit either of those, then you're probably flying through space...so where you fall after that will depend on where in the universe you are at the time. But if arrangements have been made, then you may somehow pop back up onto Earth again.
Then again, there may just be turtles all the way down...in which case you'd have no real chance of landing anywhere but on a turtle.

It's all very scientific and turtley.

I think, should you wind up landing on the elephants that are on the turtles, you would clearly bounce back onto the face of the earth. Now say I didn't hit these animals of super magics and bounce back, I think I would rather like to see what Neptune really looks like. I mean obviously if we can stay on a flat planet, we obvously have other fancy gizmos that allow us to travel through time and space without any protection *is totally in her own little world for this, if you're trying to follow along*. So yes, if I fell off I would go to Neptune! I wouldn't want to visit anything closer to the sun because I would clearly be barbequed and turn into the gaint man-eating space octopus's snack.

Also I would love to be cought by Waku! Yea for Waku saving my life!

the complexity of a flat world is huge

lets start with flat planet earth, we'd have all sorts of scientific discoveries regarding the edge, plus a very interesting part on how the water returns to the planet,
the anwer to that is fairly simple: there is a gravity center on the middle of the planet underneath (above its spread out evenly for us who live on it) so the water spirals in a bow and goes back up into earth (this means earth would have a giant fountain in the middle of it).
Added extreme sport would likely be scubadiving of the edge of earth to arrive at the middle point (for professionals only).

since the world would be so different the breathable air would change to have more then needed and therefore it would flow over to the nearest planets. since it takes us ages to get to the nearest planets we most likely now have air all the way to uranus.

The back of the sun is flat so we aren't going around it anymore, earth and the other planets are simply flipping like a coin.
Turtles would in all likelyhood live under earth as they could just swim back up no time.

It makes you wonder, should a world that is flat really exist, how much would be different. Bubbles wouldn't be round.. I don't think. Depending on how the moon was affected we may not have tides, time would most likely be affected perhaps not on a small scale but the way we see years might be. Even the stars we see would probably be different.

and the moon would circle the edges of earth (essentially you could shoot a harpoon to the moon and pull yourself to it).

If the moon was that close wouldn't it mess with the earth's gravitation?

Would bubbles still be round though? On a flat earth, if there was gravity still, would there be pressure all around it?

and of course not its just we have a half bubble athmosphere so it doesn't reach out as far, result is the moon gets closer ^-^

if the earth was flat we'd have already colonized mars.
and remember we have to time travels with the flipping of the planets

When I think of the world being flat I think if it being pretty much the same as it is now. Just not the same. Like it still rotates and stuff.... There's probably a way to make it all work out and not have the place blow up or be taken over by elephants or turtles or anything like that.
