That's right Terra! I want to teach them that spending time with family is important, and not just at Christmas either, but for Christmas I want them to be a bit more aware of how lucky they are to be with family members, because you're not always thinking about that through the year. Gifts are always nice of course, but if for whatever reason you shouldn't get gifts or you get something that makes you think "What in the world did I ever do to suggest I like this?", I want my kids to learn to be happy with the thought, or with being able to see family again, they won't be around forever and we should love what moments we have, in at times what moments we can love, with our family. And I want my kids to learn that, love it, and teach it to their kids. No one will ever be able to tell me or my children that we're celebrating Christmas wrong.
That is why I love Christmas!
