Henry let out a small laugh, not too entirely surprised that Kon couldn't say his name. After all, he'd just said his first word. It was like seeing a huge, mutant baby. As he helped the child up, he reached over with his free hand to pet Kon between the ears.

He didn't pay much attention to Ezekiel leaving, he only heard him mumble something about getting some water. Bye, Ezekiel.

The smile on his face grew as Henry heard Alfons tell Kon that they could play. It's good to hear that he's not just a mean face! Maybe he'd have a chance to see Konstantin every so often. After all, now that introductions have been made and the boy had been named, Alfons seemed a little bit more easy going, and he was also Ezekiel's patient. Maybe he'd bring Kon around?

"Y'hear that, Kon? What do you want to play?"

Whether the boy could talk or not, surely he'd know how to communicate what he wanted to do, one way or the other. At least, that was what Henry hoped.

Konstantin waited, watching Alfons get up and leave the room to go join Ezekiel. He had heard Henry's question but his attention was glued to his alpha until he had fully left the room, to which his mismatched eyes snapped back to Henry's green ones.

Play.

What did he want to play?

He understood the question, Alfons had said it in a positive tone and the word itself denoted "fun" but what fun could be had when you had a bum leg? He looked down at his bandaged foot, contemplating the possibilities, wiggling his paw against the carpeting. The floors weren't like this in Alfons' home, just hardwood floor or tile everywhere, no carpets to speak of.

The boy's head bopped back up to look at Henry again and he released the man's hand, he would need it to articulate properly where he lacked the words. A quick survey of the room and he spotted something interesting, rushing over to the open closet door and kneeling down as best he could. It was a shoe. Removing it, he brought it over to Henry with a monstrous grin of appreciation. Kon put the shoe behind his back, and then appeared to have forgotten where it was, looking all over, even spinning around to try and look at his back until finally he brought the shoe back out in front of him and he pretended to be surprised.

Hide and seek.

The wordless explanation caused Henry to chuckle as he reached for his boss' shoe. The pup was pretty good at expressing his wants with body language. "So, you want to play "hide-and-seek," do you?"

The child's excitement was all over his face, tail wagging madly behind him.

Henry scratched the stubble on his chin, thinking about the fact that they were in a house that couldn't be messed up... outside wasn't an option because of the child's appearance... Would this room do fine? "Are you fine with playing in this room? Would you like to hide first, or seek?"

So it had been figured out. A look of playful determination crossed over the wolf boy's face and he gave a curt nod to the question of what game it was he was interested in. That was what it was called, then, 'hide-and-seek'. Well, he definitely didn't feel like the one to be hiding when he had his wonderful senses of hearing and smell to aid him in the search. Fair or not, Kon had the upper hand in the game and he wasn't about to let that go to waste.

This room, though... He gave a quick look around at what they had at their disposal. It was a perfect square with tan walls and a carpeted floor, a single but large folding door closet and the door to exit the room, behind which Alfons and the green haired man were, somewhere. Where had they gone again, and why? His ears twitched slightly and his bi-colored eyes drifted back to the door briefly, then back to Henry. This room would not suffice, Konstantin decided, and shook his head. Without waiting for a reaction from his playmate, he began limping over towards the door and fumbling with the knob for a second due to his claws, but succeeded in opening it. That same moment, he paused.

Voices.

Laughing, but also angry noises. Both voices were angry at one another. Kon tilted his head, looking back at Henry. Surely he would know what to make of all this? The green haired man... Ezekiel... he wasn't doing anything to harm his alpha, was he? His hair bristled at the thought and his expression hardened. Just as he was about to take a step outside the room, fast steps rounded the corner and Alfons returned looking as angry as he had when he first set eyes on Henry. The werechild limped back, tail wagging just slightly at Alfons' sudden appearance but slowly ceasing in movement as he didn't offer the boy even a glance, nor Henry. He moved past them both to the closet and pulled it open, fetching out a sheet in similar length and make to the one Kon had destroyed.

Swiftly, he draped the sheet over Kon and he instinctively grabbed it and wrapped it around himself as the other had been worn, his gleaming eyes still visible in the shade of the blanket now cloaking his other features. He was confused. They had come here for help, Alfons said, but now his game was going to be interrupted and they were leaving? It seemed to be the case as Alfons directed him back out of the room, spotting the Ezekiel man holding the door open and giving a nasty look to his alpha.

"Stop messing around. Figure yourself out first or you'll never be able to figure him out," a finger was pointed to Kon, "I don't know what you expect of me, anyway, I'm not a babysitter!"

Alfons seethed, letting out a nasty yell before continuing any discussion, "You're the only one I know, and this sort of thing is your job, babysitter or not. Why don't you get your lackey to do it sometimes, he seems to like him!"

Swept up in the confusion, Kon looked over his shoulder and offered Henry a parting glance with his wide, colorful eyes before the blanket was gently pulled over his face to hide them once again.

The door slammed after their departure, Ezekiel storming to his seat in the living room where he had been when Mrs. Reinolds was present, seating himself unceremoniously. Just a few seconds later, he spoke to Henry, his voice seeming to have calmed incredibly since Alfons' departure. "You've known me as a very professional man. I've known Alfons for many years. He is my most frequent and longest running patient. We... don't agree on a lot of things, but what you just saw was not as it seemed. It was not doctor-patient squabbles, and it was not a fight. He only responds to extremes," he shrugged, sinking back into his seat. "But I've also never seen him react so strongly to anything in that way. Anything else, anything new, anything potentially destructive, dirty or damaging to his life is always booted out immediately... But he wants to help that... boy."

It was hard for Ezekiel not to label Konstantin as a "thing" still, just a beast, but Henry and Alfons, both, would be offended to hear that at varying degrees. He sighed, rubbing his face, "He might need us to watch him from time to time until things get sorted out." The reason for their "argument". He leaned from behind the chair, eying Henry with a green, "You're up for that, right?"
