Independent-
Having grown up without the real care of a parent, Dmitrria has become a rather independent mare, relying only on the guidance and care of her older sister. She doesn't need a mate, she doesn't need protection, and she doesn't need emotional support.
Needy-
She preaches independence, but when you get right down to it she's no different then anybody else. Despite her desire to stay unattached and aloof, if she sticks around someone long enough she will form a bond with them and come to rely on them, and that scares her. She doesn't want that attachment, but once it is made she finds it terribly hard to break.
Moody-
She wants what she wants, and when she can't have it she gets terribly grumpy and passive aggressive. It's not a pretty trait, but it is a part of her. She likes to blame her foul moods on the absence of her mother, and the inadequacy of her father to play the proper role of a parent.

Zahraa' is one of the two commanders directly under the Queen within her flock/herd. She is a haughty, judgmental individual suffering from a case of extreme vanity and moderate sadism, but where there is vanity there is envy, and what Raa' envies and cannot have she detests. Within her herd she adores her queen and respects her "sisters", forming few true friendships. The ones she has managed to forge are likely to carry on throughout her lifetime.
In the eyes of her flock she is ruthless and short tempered. Not above dishing out punishment where needed, corporeal or otherwise. Following the teachings and beliefs of her mothers and grandmothers, she sees males as lesser, breeding stock and slaves. They are entertainment and a means to continue their lineage, playthings and possible laborers, but not much more. Of course in private, should she actually get attached to a male for whatever reason, she'd be affectionate. Coldly and mildly sadistically affectionate, but affectionate none the less.
