JrSuper I might have gotten this wrong but in Genesis 8:21-22 it said: (BTW this was after the Flood and Noah's Ark) "Never again will I curse the ground becauseof man, even though every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done. 22 "As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease." It also said in Genesis 9:9-17 The whole thing basically means that God will make a covenant that never again will he make a flood to destroy the world. A rainbow will be a sign of his covenant and he will remember it." The earth as we know it will be destroyed but he will make a new heaven and earth.Plus the fact t says by water not by fire. In Revalations it talks about the lake of fire and sulfur theat is where he will destroy the "world". Yet we will remain for we are not of this world.
