Roi couldn't help but chuckle as he stood up and pushed Yia out the door, nearly throwing him out. He closed the door on Yia as he turned around and leaned against it. He donned yet another sinister grin on his hosts face, "You want to protect your father. You know I can help you with that. Not only that, but I'm sure my dear right hand man, William can help you accomplish that. Wouldn't you William?" He asked the boy looking at him, but not keeping his eyes off of the timid first year. He however didn't give the boy time to respond. "Thomas, do you not like me? We just met I don't want any 'bad blood' as they say." He couldn't help but chuckle at that however as he stood up and moved closer to Thomas. He continued on, "I can help you protect your father, there's nothing I love more then how close a father and son can be. But in order for that to happen... I need you to help me." He said in a fake caring voice as he offered a hand to shake Thomas'.

Yia gasped as he was pushed out of the room, tripping over himself and falling to the floor. He shook his head however as he attempted to get back in, but Roi kept him out. He became frantic, his hair and skin turned as white as snow as he looked around, he knew where to go. He ran up and down the corridors, looking for Allen, but alas, he couldn't find him.

He couldn't help it he fell on his knees and hit the wall of one of the corridors, his skin and hair still the same color. He leaned against the wall and slid his way down to the floor, his eyes welling up with tears. How could he fight an adult!? Not just an adult, but a brilliant king of an ancient empire no less! It literally brought him to tears, it was a fight to save Wizard kind and he can't even help those he gives heads up too...

"Why! Why can't I beat him!?" Yia yelled out angrily, not realizing where he was and he just kept his eyes closed and held his face.

{"Mother, where are you?.."}'-,,-'{ Thomas Doyle Findeler }'-,,-'{"...I'm encased in darkness!"}
[ First-year ]

Roi's attempts to silence, and quell his brother's interference were in vain. He'd no idea what Yia had divulged the day before; what was becoming common knowledge, weighted to secrecy by fear and scrutiny. Who would believe the inane babble from a bunch of kids? Thomas was beyond suspicion at this point and the only question that lingered on his mind, was why? Why this boy? Why was William involved? Why had Thomas meddled in the first place? His mind was riddled with uncertaintly, with subtle whispers of regret. He'd really let himself get in over his head, and in truth, trouble found him all on it's own; all he did was educate himself before hand. Thankfully so; because the chips were down, so it went without saying, Thomas' mind was kickstarted like clockwork machinery as he hashed his escape. Like the flick of a switch, his collective cool was engaged; confidence reassured, he was was holding the cards and simply needed to call out the bluff. More of his father shining through, he supposed; dangerously self-assured. He had his mother's clarity to thank for revealing this for the trap it was, but it was his father that gave him the ability to act against the black tide, especially under pressure.

"I see..." Thomas said calmly, as he glanced over at William. His glance more telling of his epiphany. "...you need -- me. "; He need them, all of them. Like a lead brick, a crucial piece fell into the dynamic at play here. It was a weakness Thomas was free to exploit, and dumbstruck that William hadn't come to the same conclusion earlier; maybe it was Thomas' outside perspective. The ability to see what reliance he placed in his subordinates, that gave Thomas the insight he needed. Then again, maybe it was William's primary reason for involving himself thus far. Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer. Thomas' fear, at least, was lifted. He'd made no tells that he knew what Roi truly was; at most he seemed skeptical and a little put off by Roi's cocky attitude, but the intimidation was gone. Granted he still had immense respect for the forces at work here; should he reveal too much, his father may yet have one more tombstone to visit, but as of now, he was just a shy first-year, trying to find some piece and quiet on his first train ride, and aimed to keep the perception as such.

He took a moment, feigning a look of intrigue as if he were actually considering agreeing with Roi, but eventually broke the silence to stand, taking Fisch up in his arms again. He wouldn't find the ability to protect his family like this; at most he'd sell his sole for empty promises and an extended lifespan. Only eleven, and Thomas already knew how fleeting life's moments were. He would be hard pressed to allow himself to live under the weight of an oppressive foot crushing his windpipe. He believed, people don't chose their deaths, just the actions that led them there. Thomas wanted to live in the light of his mother; striving to make each breath a gift, not a curse, so that even when the end comes unexpected, the legacy left behind still shines as brightly as she. Roi's offer, was a malevolent invitation, disguised as cordial banter and lively promises; it could only lead him to ruin, in the guise of prosperity.

He would not accept the handshake again.
"While I certainly appreciate your offer,.." He replied curtly, almost cutting. His aim, was to sell a certain veil of insult and patronization. The audacity of suggesting he couldn't accomplish his goals on his own. In a way, the offer did rise a bubble of disdain and disfavor. It did ring as insulting, but it wasn't exactly the full extent of what he was feeling.
"...I have just a little more faith in myself than that. Thanks anyways." He added, sarcastically, bringing his facade home. He looked over at William, offering him a fake smile that cut through the mask he wore; he wasn't done with him by a long shot, but all Thomas wanted at the moment was a breather, and to thank Yia for the heads up; he'd have been lost now, otherwise.

"It was a pleasure to meet you..." He emphasized, hoping Wally might subconsciously realize it was he Thomas was referring to. "...Roi."
"William." He added, passing a courteous and polite nod to William, as if nothing was the matter, before forcing his way past Roi, and letting himself out of the cabin.

As soon as Thomas heard the clasp shut of the sliding cabin door, he released a deep sigh, feeling his legs begin to tingle and weaken as his adreneline finally began to pulse through his body to accomodate for the unnatural solidarity he'd been able to maintain in there; Arthur, and the Department of Mysteries, might have been proud. He shook his head, taking a few staggered breaths as he let a light chuckle escape.

As the surging chemicals racing through his blood waned, he heard muffled weeping coming from the corridor. He glanced over to see Yia sitting against the wall. The reason behind the despair wasn't lost on Thomas, and he had almost walked to his side before Yia yelled; Thomas jumped slightly but shrugged it off quickly.
"Can't beat who?" He asked coyly, placing Fisch on his shoulder again, who took to the posistion without the slightest resistence. He even felt comfortable and balanced enough in his perch to begin cleaning his fur. Thomas slid his hands in his pocket, before glancing around. Catching a few speculative pairs of eyes from students witnessing Yia's display.
"What are you crying for?" He asked with a smirk.

Tay hadn't bothered to bite back the sigh that had escaped his lips at the instance that Thomas decidedly rose to his feet, not a doubt seeped through now that he was upright and on the verge of escaoe. As Tay notioned a nod of farewell, he just couldn't help but not the chivalrous reluctance, an intelligent disclosure. Perfect, last thing he needed was for Thomas to team up with the Wonder Trio and dvulge his past to the group. This sudden realization caused him to reel around on Roi with a credulous stare only after they were alone. "You lack the caution of common men, Roi. I could have told you that Thomas wouldn't have been willing...

"That's why we need to get close, figure out what makes these mates tick, and exploit it.

"Luckily, I already know him, and his father. A few empty threats and forged letters from his 'da,' and then we'll have him... Eventually, we'll get them all."

Oh, but he was going to save that magical trio for last, one day, he will laugh in Phinelia's face as he busts in Colton's. Something about that Gryffindor had never sat well in Tay's core, but that may have been because of the stark brilliance of sheer benevolence- no one should ever be so pure as to make him choke like Colton could, moreover, Ronyo was nothing more than a self-righteous fool. A fool he would have to be more careful around if he was to continue treading dangerous waters.

Yia nearly jumped out of his skin, but he decided on something else. He didn't know what had happened in there but he assumed Thomas joined them as well so he got up and glared at him, his hair rising, turning red and seeming to stick straight in the air. His eyes turned pure red with hatred, more scars appeared on his body as well, "You joined that b*****d didn't you!?" He asked angrily, he clenched his hands into fists as he turned away moving down the hallway, all these scars were cause by that b*****d... All of them he hid, but the three scars on his body, the biggest ones, the ones on his cheek, arm, and stomach, were all too much for him to hide.

Thomas returned Yia's anger with a dumbfounded expression, as he made to follow him.
"I haven't joined anything..." He defended. "He asked for my help, and I turned him down..."
He paused for a moment, letting his mind unscramble the pieces he'd upturned in the cabin.
"Thank-you, for what you told me yesterday. William, layed a trap for me; Roi set it, and I graciously slipped through it. I wouldn't have been able to without the information you gave me."

Roi simply smiled and burst into a sinister laughter as he shook his head, the dark green of Roi's real eyes almost wiping the blue of Woil's eyes away. This was one sign that he was completely squashing Wally's soul under his fist. He smiled at Tay, kicking his feet onto the bench and leaning againsst the wall. He stared at the passing students as they were making their way into cabins.
After a few minutes he responded,
"I was only trying to get him out of the room. I already know you can do it William. I know you won't fail me, or Lord X." He said looking away and around the cabins, oh how he enjoyed this era, so much easier for him to do things. They used technology that his people couldn't have dreamed of using. "I do however want you to deal with our troublesome little mouse that seemed to have wandered into our house. Say, you have a thing against Colton don't you?" He asked, of course the boy did. Roi watched him closely for over several months during the school year.

Chase Balford
Hogwarts Student: Third Year, Ravenclaw
Theme of the Moment | Thoughts: Time to work my groove…

User Image As he stood before her, he let his caramel brown eye trace over her details discretely. Well, he tried to be discrete. But whatever digressions his eyes made, his smile remained genuine as he stepped back respectfully and gestured for her to go ahead of him. She was much smaller than he. After his summer growth spurt he was five foot ten inches. Gideon had told him that his mother was very petite and fine featured. So it seemed that he got his height from his father. Of course all of the Balford men were tall too, so it seemed that his genes destined him to be tall.

Speaking of genes, he knew plenty about hers. Gideon had mentioned the Rich’s plenty of times. Actually he thought that maybe Gid had even pointed out her father casually once when they were in Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley shopping. The Riches were, well, rich. Gid said that they had more money than Gringotts, or at least liked to act that way. And he implied that it might not have all come from an honest day’s work. Well who was Chase to judge, he had made a pretty good profit the one year selling ‘powdered black unicorn horn’ as an extra powerful potion ingredient, except that it was just dried, ground Doxy droppings. The potions had backfired hilariously and the people had been maaaaaad. But he had managed to talk his way out of trouble with the students and the professors.

“Well then,” he said with a politely playful smirk, “since you are making an exception for me, it would only be right that I give you a proper escort.” He chuckled lightly as they walked a mere ten feet before he gestured to the side. It was going to be interesting to see what a girl that came from a family like the Riches was like. Although she certainly made for a nice enough exterior inspection.

“Here we are.” Reaching past her he slid the door open and allowed her to go first before he followed and shut the door behind them.

“Annabelle, this is my cousin Hildy. Hildy, Annabelle has graciously agreed to keep us company for the trip to Hogwarts. She is an incoming First Year as well.”

Hildy looked up, startled as she cuddled Rolf, her shoes discarded on the floor as her feet were tucked up underneath her. Instead of Chase walking into the cabin, there was a young blonde girl. Rolf pricked his ears and climbed to the edge of Hildy’s grasp trying to sniff at the stranger, and not the blonde one. The girl had a cat held in her arms as well, which made Hildy’s lips turn up in a small smile. At least Rolf was pleased. Though he escaped from her arms as the girl sat and meandered his fuzzy little body over to make friends.

“Hello.” Hildy finally managed. She hadn’t known that anyone else would be riding with them. It felt strange to be around someone that didn’t know about her mother and father and the whole mess. Although, she was going to school where precious few people did. It hadn’t really been in the paper yet. Just her mother’s obituary saying that she died unexpectedly and how many kids read those. Uncle Gid said that it was procedure to withhold all of the information on the case so that whoever the killer was wouldn’t know for sure what they did or didn’t do. Hildy understood all of that but at the same time she wanted to go to the top of a mountain and scream to the world so that the killer could hear that they were going to find him and make him pay for what he did.

She just hoped that man wasn’t her father. But, in any case, maybe it would be good that no one knew. No one to judge her for enjoying herself even though her mother was dead. Or pitying her. Smiling broader and more genuinely at the thought she looked up at the girl. “ Nice to meet you. This is Rolf.” She said reaching out to pick up the little critter before he climbed right up on the girl’s lap to go see her cat.

Chase had taken his seat opposite them and a grin of amusement drifted onto his lips. Like a cat that had a mouse cornered, he decided that this train ride was promising to be very enjoyable. “So, Annabelle, any subjects that you are particularly looking forward to this year?”

When Tay had been met with a callous laughter his brows had shifted downwards into a grudge of silence, apparently, he hadn’t seen what was so funny. But that spurt of fire had died down at Roi’s flow of words, cool and simple, like water sifting through his fingers. ”Well, you definitely managed that one quickly enough.” He made note as he glanced around the now empty cabin that had once been filled to the brim only several minutes past.

”Mouse?” He repeated only to refrain from saying the actual name, the Eurasian Eagle owl hooted vehemently at his side, and Tay was forced to dig through each and every one of his pockets until he found a single treat to silence the regal owl. ”How do you suppose I do that?” He asked this question seriously, but the next question had been drenched with light sarcasm and dark humor. A truth hidden beneath the context. ”Shall I lay out cheese to a trap?

"And you should know how I feel about Colton.”
Tay interjected quickly before even he could chuckle at his own joke. To be honest, he didn't know why he had come to despise that Gryffindor so much, by all means, Ronyo and Phinelia had more reasons on his list for spite, but...

Colton seemed most justified, as if he was the biggest threat. If Colton was down, Tay firmly believed the rest would fall like hail.

Initially, Belle had to choke back a laugh of scrutiny and forced a mirthful chuckle to flow like rain down from the heavens. Emotions had wrenched her into every which way, what with the desire to be perfect, and the will to be rebellious, but the need for grace and poise, not to mention the constant threat to tarnish her family name (as if it hadn’t already been torn down before.) When she thought of Hogwarts, somehow, she had imagined freedom. But in the light of this boy, a Balford, Belle felt a constricting force drop heavily on her soul, weighing her down with the drive to be everything and more, but what would be sacrificed?

”Okay,” Belle’s gentle voice depicted only the image of a doll, dainty and porcelain. Truth be told, Belle was a reckless ball of dramatic energy which she had inherited from her mother; she was never still, never alone. And even the miniscule bundle of fur in her arms entailed the same feisty spirit as the two seemed to wrestle for control over the other. Lady pawing and sliding, meandering through fingertips and wrestling against Belle’s grasp to try and lunge at the first pair of feet she could, tatter fabric, or wear down its claws on the nearest wooden post. As a result, Belle’s intuitive prowess shined as she shifted vicariously in tune with the creature fighting for dominance.

A gleam of brilliance reflected off a pearl smile when she slipped under Chase to reach Hildy residing with a cat to accompany her, when the brief introduction had melted away into silence, Belle was quick to fill the gap. ”Call me Belle,” She suggested with a smile as she crossed the room with poise and took a seat, the tiny cat in her arms had burst with excitement at the sight of another half-kneazle. ”And this is Lady, what kind of a cat is he?” Belle inquired at once with her steady gaze on Rolf, partially because the coloring of the orange cat had appeared white with shades of gray, which usually meant it could range from anything from orange to purple.

Lady had batted a petite paw towards Rolf the instance before Hildy had swept up the feline to present him, Lady stretched where she sat, trying to eye the ball of orange fur with meticulous blue eyes. Belle continued to wrestle with the cat a moment longer before finally submitting, and Lady hopped to the ground with grace before she stood on hind legs, gentle claws nipped at Hildy as Lady balanced herself upright against the girl’s legs. ”Flying,” Belle quipped up immediately with a gleam in eyes of emerald gems. ”If it can even really be called a subject… What about you two?”

Yia's hair turned ghostly white and his eyes gently turned back into their blue color. He let out a shattered sigh as his anger crashed into the ground. If it was real if would of probably smashed through the train's floor."You didn't... Join them..." He said smiling and turning to the boy as he moved over and guided him into the cabin where his brother's trunk was and sat down, sighing. "Just don't tell them I said anything... I don't want MORE scars."He said looking over his millions of scars on his body. This was the first time he actually revealed any of them in front of someone.

Roi couldn't help but let the wheels turn in his head. So many possibilities, sure Jane was one good way to get back at Phinella. But another would be, Colton. Weren't those two so close it would destroy her to have that boy do something to her? "Well here's a good idea. Why not use Colton to get your revenge on Phi? It'd devastate them both, wouldn't you say?" He asked in his sinister tone and he paused for a few minutes letting his words sink into the boy's mind. "Of course, who you use is up to you. All I want is for you to get rid of Phinella and start working on getting me my soldiers." He said, his tone weighing heavily on soldiers.

A lethargic glance had drifted towards Roi, Tay had seemed to slacken in the presence of the ancient king as his body relaxed and inclined into a leisure position across the opposite side of the compartment with one leg sprawled across the cushions and an elbow resting on a propped up knee. His brows had lifted with curiosity, but a deviant spark breathed life to eyes of golden flames and a smile had spread across his lips. Why hadn't he thought of that before?

"I already know someone who's interested." He remarked flippantly, as though he were only commenting on the weather outside. "Belle, she's a first year this year."

Roi looked at the boy with a raised eyebrow, "And who is the... Belle?" He asked sitting up and stretching his hosts body. He moved towards the door and stared out the window. Eying everyone that passed down the corridor. Woil's eyes had turned back to normal, to keep Roi hidden, but sadly it was still Roi behind those eyes at the moment.

"The?" He repeated with a quite stupid look on his face, but he had to shake his head to rid the question away and continued on with a simple breath. "She's Annabelle Rich, her da' works for the ministry as the Head of International Magical Office of Law. She should be on the train somewhere, but there's no telling where.

"She's a bit power hungry too,"
Tay had to laugh at this as he carried on. "Her da' treats her like a girl, well, worse but, she swears up and down the quidditch pitch that she's going to teach him a thing or two about what a girl can do, either way, she'll likely help our cause."
