Without the warmth of his body pressed against her, the summer air suddenly felt cold and lonely, but she knew if she stayed there in his arm any longer, she would've done something stupid. 'You're still with Darius.' She had to keep reminding herself. She didn't have to glanced behind her to know Erik still stood where she'd left him. She could practically feel his presence in the room. Every breath she took, every slight movement she made, had her inhaling at the almost solid tension in the air. She swallowed hard, fighting both the urge to turn around and tackle him to the ground and all the urge to dart out the door and run forever, and that was saying something, because she hated running. She breathed in deeply, trying to slow her breath and find something anything to say, but her mind was blank. She stared at the stone floor beneath her feet, chewing on her lip until it bled. She didn't even notice it bleeding until a single red drop slipped from her lip to the stone at her feet.OOC: … Here I am at the єภ๔ of me. Tryin' to hold to what I can't ṡεε I forgot how to ђ๏קє. ----------- First year ----------- Muggle born ----------- unsorted -----------
This was just mad there was Platform 9 and Plateform 10 no 9 3/4, Beatrice had been at Kings cross enough to know that. Be it for trips with the family or transferring trains to her old school either way until the girl always stuck close to her parents or the one person she considered a friend. But this time, there was no parents since they had barely spared the time to bring her to the station only thanks to her father having a lunch meeting in London, and her friends were all already at their school, settled into their rooms, and she was all on her own in a crowd of new people. Crowds and New people were two things she did not handle well. "Were in the world would that platform even be. If it does exsist" she said aloud as she paused on platform 9 from her pacing between the two arrival areas she did know existed
A train pulled up to collect the other patrons that were on platform 9, which startled the dozing Owl that was on the muggleborn's cart, causing it to start making a racket. Without even trying, She could feel her cheeks turn pink, and the all to familiar urge to hid behind something hit her as what seemed to be all the eyes turned to her. She could only really hope that no one would approach to see what was going on. The blond tried to calm down the owl. Once she succeeded she turned around again to see if there was any change in her finding the platform. So far no luck. In truth, she was beginning to wonder if this was a prank or something. Sure, it had seemed realistic, but it wouldn't be hard to make things authentic, her Father's one Partner in his law firm dealt with fall out of scammers and such so she heard about them sometimes when they were over for dinner.

As the Machlachlan sisters were about to head over to the platform, they passed a young girl all on her own with a cart full of her school supplies. She had an owl on top of everything and seemed to be very confused. "Do you suppose we should see if everything's alright with her?" Akira asked as they passed her.
James stopped to look at the girl. Not many Muggles came to King's Cross with an owl. The girl had to be a first year, and probably a muggleborn one at that. She wondered why muggleborns were expected to be able to find the platform on their own. It was madness really. Just finding out about magic and being expected to know every single thing about the world that they had just been thrown into. It really wasn't fair. "I suppose so. I mean, she looks like she could very well be a Hogwarts student. It wouldn't hurt," she replied.
The sisters walked over to the girl. "Hello there," Akira smilied, trying to be friendly. She didn't want to scare the girl. It could be considered pretty scary if some girl just walked about to you in the middle of King's Cross and just started talking to you. There were all sorts of weird people in the world after all.
"My sister and I were on our way to our platform to catch the train for our school, and we noticed that you looked like you could need some help," James explained. The girl should hopefully respond well to that. Just a couple of schoolgirls offering some assistance. There was nothing wrong with that. Nothing at all.

As Beatrice vwas about to give up two girls approached her. Great, new people again, that's all the past week or so seemed to be. As she had done with all the shopkeepers and the person who she had escorted she bit her lip trying not to run and hide."I'm not entirely sure. I think i'm lost, its' a different school then I've attended the past years" Her voice quivered with nerves. If it were the same as previous years, she wouldn't have a problem, it was alway platform 5 heading east bound for her old school, but that had left a week ago, so there was really no chance of even attending the old one if this was indeed a prank of some sort.
Her hands tightened on her cart, turning her knuckles right, as she still tried to keep herself together. Sure they seemed nice but that didn't mean anything. People were far from the girls strong point unless she had a good friend with her but at the moment that was neither the case or even possible, she knew no one here. She mumbled some Swedish word she has picked up during one of her summer stays with her mother's parents at the current situation. The lifted her eyes to the girls that were speaking with her breifly before looking away.

Akira relaxed her grip on her sister's arm. She was lucky that the girl actually was a Hogwarts student. She had to be, based off the ticket she fished out of her jumper. That, or she was a pretty good con-artist. However, Akira didn't want to take the chance. She was a Ravenclaw, and the founder of her house did believe that knowledge was man's greatest treasure. How would she be viewed if she didn't help someone get to school, the one place where they could further their knowledge.
Finally having feeling return to her arm, James smiled. "Nice to meet you Trish. I'm James and that's my sister Akira. We're both Ravenclaws, which is honestly probably the best house at Hogwarts. Although, I'm not biased or anything," she laughed. Everyone, well at least mostly everyone, had to think that their house was the best. It made for an interesting year. Of course, there was always a student or two who felt as though the Sorting Hat had made a mistake and went on being miserable about it. At least one of the bright sides about being a muggleborn, or at least a first year who had never heard of the houses before, was that you didn't have to think that you were misplaced. There were no expectations.
"Oh, it's no problem really," Akira smiled. "James is supposed to be more helpful this year with her being a prefect and all," she explained. She didn't quite understand how her sister became a prefect. Sneaking about, procrastinating. It made no sense to her, but then again, siblings were always highly critical of each other. As long as she fulfilled her responsibilities, Akira really had no problem with her sister being prefect.
Glancing at her watch, James gasped. "We should probably get going, don't want the wall to close up on us!" James exclaimed as she got her cart together and started heading toward a wall in between platforms nine and ten, followed by Akira who kept looking back to make sure that Trish was following them.

spaceCel was more than ready to be home for the Summer. Not that he didn't enjoy school, because he did (well, all the parts of it that weren't actual school, anyway), but he was eager to sleep in his actual bed in his actual room. And to catch up on all his telly programs. And to play his new video games. Actually, the only thing he liked better about school than home was the fact that his da had a much harder time bothering him at school than at home, seeing as he was restricted to letters. Until next year, when he inevitably tried to stalk Cel to Hogsmeade, anyway. Just the thought made him grind his teeth.
spaceThe thirteen year old made his way out to the station, eyes peeled for his mother. He spotted her fairly easily, or rather, he thought he did. As he drew nearer, he found himself blinking oddly, because that wasn't actually his mum, not at all. But it sure as hell looked like her. Further searching of the crowd found his actual mother, along with... Maura? He caught his classmate's confused statement, and blinked again. Waitaminute-
spaceCel sprinted over towards the woman who was not his mother, and he grabbed her hand. "Oi tink yisser girl's dis way, miss," he declared, dragging her along behind him the short distance where Maura was standing with the woman who definitely actually was Aoibhin O'Madaidhin. "Maura, I tink dis belongs ter yer!" he called out, eyes darting between the two women with muted interest as he came to a stop.
spaceHis mother recovered from the confusion she'd faced at being embraced by a strange girl fairly quickly, smiling at her son. "There yer are, Cel, oi wus wonderin' if ye'd gotten turned into bibe while yer were aff at school or somethin'."
spaceCel snorted in response. "I'd be a prettier lassy than dat," he said, shooting his classmate a teasing look. She'd probably hit him for it, but he didn't care. That was just what they were like; if the situation had been reversed, she'd have been calling herself a more handsome boy. That was just how they worked. "Meanwhile, ma, oi tink you've got sum explainin' ter chucker, cos yer never towl me yer 'ad a twin." He gestured to the woman he'd brought along with him, who had to be Maura's mum. It was the only explanation for how the other girl had confused his mother for hers.

Maura had no clue that this day could get any worse. First she hugs a random stranger that she thinks is her mother and then none other that her arch rival Cel decides to saunter over with her mother. Maura quickly left the stranger's side in favor of standing with her mother. Ignoring her irritation with Cel for the moment, she was pretty creeped out at how similar their mothers looked. It was a little unsettling.
Hearing Cel's comment snapped her back into reality and she quickly wound up to punch his shoulder but her hand was caught by her mother who knew about her young girl's temper. "Agnes, we dinnae skelp fowk." The young girl groaned a bit at the use of her first name, her mother only used it when she was being stern with the girl. She'd get him back at the beginning of next year though, she already knew she would see him after all. The boy was like a cockroach, he never went away.
He...did have a point though, they had to be related there was no way that they would look so similar and not have any relation "Ah hate tae gree wi' Cel, bit ye twa dae keek a lot alike." It was irritating to agree with him but he was right this time. She paused for a moment before a look of moderate horror crossed her face and she glanced up at her mother. "Ma, please tell me amurnay related tae Cel. That wid be th' wirst. "

spaceCel watched his mother's face, curious about what she might be thinking. She'd looked confused, then curious, and now she looked... suspicious? That was the only way Cel could describe the expression, anyway. Her eyes were narrowed, and she had that thoughtful, primed and ready sort of look on her face, like she had when she was about to catch his da in a lie. "Oi don't 'av a twin, oi can tell yer dat much," she said slowly, "or even any siblings ter spake av. Distant cousins is best oi can gie yer."
spaceThe thirteen year old snorted, crossing his arms. "Luk at dat, Maura, yer can breathe easy, you're not any more related ter me than yer might be ter de whole av de country," he teased, but a look towards his mum made him wonder if he were right about that after all.
space"You've got de seem nose," Aiobhin said after a pause, looking between the two children with something akin to annoyance in her tone. "An' me lad definitely did not git dat nose from me."
spaceCel frowned. He knew where he got his nose; not his father, but certainly his father's family. He'd seen photos of his paternal grandfather. His uncle's nose wasn't that far off from it, either. And that wasn't the only way he and Maura resembled each other, truth be told. And their stories about their fathers were always weirdly similar... And his father had a type, which his own mother, and therefore Maura's freaky might-as-well-be-his-mother's-clone mother, fit to a T... And if Cel knew one thing about his da, it was the man was a total slut.
spaceHe frowned, looking over at his classmate. "Yer never towl me yisser da's name," he noted, "Yer never said. An' oi never said mine, either." He'd always thought his da and Maura's da were probably mates of some sort, since they almost certainly moved in the same circle. But now he was wondering if they weren't mates so much as... well, the same person. And he couldn't decide if he were disgusted, amused, or both, at the prospect.
