Lars nodded, understanding Hysteria's words and taking them to heart and mind each sentence and paragraph. Yamato listened but tuned it out a bit on SOME parts since he truly didn't grasp all of what just happened. But Lars did, he had always grasped it, ever since he had been taught of what was far beyond our own truth...our own comprehension of the world itself, but to learn of something that transcended above that which could only reach the edge of our universe, that was something worthwhile. He could learn everything and anything from the books of the world BUT they wouldn't be able to teach what he had just learned right now. He saw the men and women around him dance and laugh, having a grand old time and he could soon see that Yamato had been whisked away by a masked woman to dance with her, Lars simply stood there in Hysteria's presence and bowed to her...for once in his life, he'd actually listen to her and trust her. But the real question was, the annoying and rude b**** that Lars met at the Training Grounds, was this the same Hysteria that sat upon the throne now? He thanked her for the gift, for the bestowing of a treasure like no other and he surely would not let it go to waste, he would use it well until the day it returned to her.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
{Uhhh...,} Kageko was about to ask Kaminari about being in servitude for long periods of time,
Kaminari, however, gave a silent negative for two reasons: that really wasn't a question that needed to be answered and now wasn't the time to divide attention even if it didn't matter.

Kageko backed off and returned her full attention to Lydia and then Hysteria. There were a few other things she had wanted to do in her mind, some of it just solo thinking, but everything was happening too quickly to really give her much of a chance. The sudden image of the two bloody chests had Kageko flinch. As before, though, the reaction remained hidden beneath her hood. As always, the Goha fixed the problem with a slight bit of mental censoring. What little Kageko had missed was then quickly reviewed by the angel for her benefit.

Still, even after hearing everything, much of it didn't really make sense to the girl. All the details regarding this matter with the gods was new to her and she had yet to completely digest everything that had been told her minutes ago when Lydia and Lucas were both alive. In situations like this, Kami's advice was always helpful.
{Ignore the cause. What are the effects,} was the concise advice.
Kageko simply gave a mental nod as she picked through what had been said. What were the results of all this craziness? There seemed to be a baby in Hysteria's grasps, fading in just as Saemus faded out. Could that be Saemus's new body? That'll likely effect the world, right? Would he realize his wish to be human? Then, obviously something of note, was Hysteria's ascension to Nova status. Kageko didn't know enough about Hysteria, though, to make much more of an assessment on the ascension. All she had was what little she had said about darkness in the new world, which didn't seem like anything Kageko would be learning about from Hysteria. There was, of course, what Kaminari knew about Hysteria, but that had been so long ago and the angel could guess at nothing herself.

As Kageko thought, the scenery around her changed. She noticed the shift, but had already gone through such a change enough times to not be too shocked. Kaminari, more observant, informed Kageko that this was likely Hysteria's coronation party.

When Hysteria began to speak again, Kageko wrapped up her thoughts. It had already become apparent that she wouldn't be able to figure anything out through just thinking. Might as well take the time to instead listen to Hysteria, she might have something useful to say. However, it didn't seem very useful to Kageko. All that was mentioned were some ambiguous treasures and their equally ambiguous recipients. As she usually was whenever someone mentioned anything about placing anyone in a special position, Kageko assumed that it didn't apply to her. Neither did Kaminari in this case, actually. Her thoughts were along the lines of,

The two, it seemed, were wrong. There, in Kageko's possession, was an item she knew she didn't have before. The girl's eyes darted in confusion up to Hysteria's face beneath the cover of her hood. Confused as she was, though, the woman remembered her basic manners. She nodded/bowed quietly in thanks.

"Hmm..." Vincente guessed it made...some sense, but he was giving up on trying to understand it...at all. Vincente shook his head soon though, he didn't agree with something she'd said. "Built us as new beings? Right..." Vincente didn't think this made him...or anybody else feel new...or stronger...or anything at all. "It's not my place to question, who knows...maybe I'll see the bright side eventually." Vincente still wasn't keen to the idea of being somebody else's toy...and not having any ability over what happened to him, despite whatever he did...it was terribly depressing. "Ignoring what it means for us then...what about you?" Vincente asked, if he got some vague answer like "it's too much for a human to understand" he swore somebody was going to die later.

Empty was rather intrigued by the truth of the matter. He couldnt fathom a god wanting to be like a normal person. the ability to die was no big deal, but he supposed he shouldn't think about it. Since he wasn't a god being he had no idea what they felt like after that long. He bowed to hysteria after hearing her promotion, if it could be called that. When his attention shifted back to the room he noticed it had become a ballroom. He had never been much for parties but people asking him to dance made him hard pressed to deny. He ended up dancing with a few of them. Empty didn't see this as being someone elses toy. He loved being able to listen to a god.

Armand moved himself into the tower, watching everybody shuffle about and speak. "5 years...5 whole years. And it almost feels like nothing's happened. I died for what?" He wondered to himself. He had spent the last couple years simply thinking and communing with himself. "I attempted to selflessly die so others could survive. But even more...there was the Hachibi." He felt a stirring in his chest. They hadn't even been separated at death. Their leave from that world should've freed them. "And we fought together...as one, for the first time. All because of a common enemy. There is always a common enemy. Maybe we're not best friends, but we're damn close whether we like it or not. I'm going to strive to destroy those who stand in my way, and I will also do the same for you." Another warm stirring inside himself. He could feel that the Hachibi agreed with him. After their death and the struggle with the Jyuuha, they had a form of connection. He entered further into the celebration ballroom, looking at the lights and masked people. Armand felt like he belonged with his face mostly covered.

He approached Hysteria, stopping a few meters away. With a c**k of his end, he looked her over. There was just a different feeling about her than normal. "You've changed. Five years since we first met at the Isle de Marquis...and then this. I can't describe it, but there's just a different air about you. Regardless, congratulations on the...position." He struggled to find the last word. She was now the all-powerful goddess of everything. He didn't fear the future, but was aware of what it might entail. With a slight bow of his head, he turned away respectfully and went towards the party. His plan was to leave at once, but he was stopped by a group of giggling masked women. He stood about half-a-head over them and looked them over. They were all tugging on his arms, trying to get Armand to dance with them. "Alright, alright...I can spare a few minutes." He told them with a slight smile. He went off with them into the crowd, but would always be aware of his surroundings and the actions of the other shinobi...especially Hysteria.

Katsu, who had just found his way into the World Within, approached the tower. He now wore armor from his shoulders and covered his entire arm, hiding the unsightly injuries he got five years ago. Since he had been training in the Snake Islands for most of the time, he only recently got a good look of the "new" world. His ear was healed, since it was smaller and much easier to regenerate than his limbs. His spring-based and curved metal right leg was easier to deal with now that he made it lighter, though he hid it under long dragging pants. He entered soon after they were giving out their little prizes and explaining he situation. "Awe, you're so mean, don't I get a present? I'll be your best friend~," Katsu said in his usual demeanor. Over the years, he only got taller and stronger, he was still as strange person as ever. He looked over at Lars and his kids, waving eccentrically, almost like there was a hidden mocking in the gesture. He knew only that the other Shinobi there were strong, nothing much else. Looking over at the Madking, he felt strange. First of all, gods can die? He laughed at the strangeness of it. They weren't gods anymore, just overpowered creatures. The very fact that a god was in that state made Katsu laugh on the inside, but on the outside he simply smiled as he approached the Madking's body. "Hysteria, I've heard you're called the Mad, but right now you don't really live up to that title, do you?" he commented as he kneeled down to take a closer look at the King. He only looked like a child to Katsu, but had this sinister aura still surrounding the body, like the simple act of it existing was powerful. It put a delightful sensation down Katsu's spine, the fear, desire, and freedom the feeling showed him, it was thrilling. He pushed it aside for now and turned his back to the Madking to get a good view of everyone. He was the least fazed by the death, not truly caring about the Madking sympathetically and simply accepting the facts given and that the world wasn't imploding because of them. A matter of fact, one might conclude he enjoyed the madness of the world, not running wild like a beast as the general population did, but instead laughing at the weaknesses of the public. According to what he'd seen, the madness wasn't forced, just allowed. To fall prey to so little temptation, despite promoting order and fairness on the outside. It was just so extremely hilarious at how people lie to themselves and betray their friends and family when opportunity presents itself. If the Madking were still alive, they might have gotten along. Such a shame.

User Image[Few things I forgot to mention. Lydia and Lucas have been dead for a long time, Hysteria was pretending to be them to make you guys understand the situation better. As for Saemus, he's no longer a God, a complete human with no real special traits that would make him divine. He wanted to be a human all his life, and like the human's desires, his desire became real too.]

When Vincente asked what this meant for her, the woman merely smiled. "It means nothing, really. Actually, I wouldn't say it was a good thing. With Lydia, Saemus and Lucas all dead, even though this means I'm God, it also means that I have no assistants or helpers and that I'll have to run the whole frickin' universe by myself. I could always make more, but none of them will be able to compare with the forty billion years of experience any of them had. This also means for dear Kleiney that I won't be able to come to his aid very much. And, of course you're thinking, "Hysteria, doesn't this mean Kleine gets to summon an all-powerful being?" The answer is no, little ones. I abstain to mention that I was born a human, but Saemus fell in love with me. He made me his "daughter" and granted me divinity, but this is only in the spiritual realm. In the mortal realm, like you I am mortal, and thus can be slain. Of course, I'll just revive and be able to come back, but hey, I could do that before too," She smiled, remembering that she probably shouldn't have told them that she wouldn't be any stronger in the human world now -- then they'd probably be afraid of her like they should've been.

She could hear everyone's thoughts now, just like Lydia could. They were thinking soem strange things, but not too judgmental, so she simply shut off access to their thoughts, for now. It was annoying. "To be my Vigilant, there is only one requirement: live life to your desires. I don't care if you're on my side or against my side. I chose those who needed to follow their desire. Kageko, you're suppressed; but inside, you must be aching for something. I saw that. So you're mine, now -- under my spell," She giggled slightly, noting that Armand had also arrived now. "Armand, there's a time for work and for play. Of course, you met me during one of my "playtimes", so you've obviously seen me at my strangest. However, I'm not a vicious woman. I believe to live life to the fullest, and to love and appreciate what you have, but also to strive for more. My doctrine is ambition, as was Saemus's. The world won't really change from what it was, now -- but the people within this world should acknowledge their desires more. All this time, you were at the mercy of your own thoughtless suppression. You need to reach for want, make it "need", and it will be yours." They may have thought that Hysteria had no right to say that anything could be theirs if they tried hard enough for it, but that was untrue. Hysteria was born as a poor farmgirl. She worked and worked and eventually made her way to nobility simply by her charm. Nobility was nothing, now; now she was the Goddess of the universe. How could anyone say she didn't know what she spoke of?

"Katsu," She called plainly to the boy, who might've considered himself lucky to catch her attention. "My title suits me perfectly -- I'm frickin' crazy." She giggled into her left palm, walking down from her pedestal to sit upon the climbing steps. "Your loved ones are back, you know, just like mine is," She smiled, looking into her arms and gently tickling her baby, "This was an equal struggle for humans and Gods. Both races faced immense casualties -- the only time in all of history where Gods and humans were on equal ground. All of us do not want to oppress you. We are not your enemies, and we don't find your suffering entertaining. Saemus did what he did because he saw the world as a world of suppression. He had always intended to bring all of you back, and to heal your woes. He wanted to be like you, and cling onto hope and idealism even as he struggled. He became your enemy to see how humans bonded together in the face of oppression. Now, he really is going to become one with you guys. You won't know who he is. He'll be just like any other human. He won't remember who he is, either, really. That was his wish." She didn't know if she had much left to say, but she was glad to see that the people accepted her rule; she had never really intended to hurt them. If people accepted Saemus, maybe he wouldn't have gone insane. That's what she would've liked to thought; 'cause maybe then, she wouldn't go insane too. Like Nova went insane. Like Takami went suicidal.

Lars simply stood there and took in what Hysteria said to the others, noticing Katsu yet keeping quiet towards him, since he had been secluded from everyone else and only trained his sons and himself while inside of The World Within, he had really forgotten how to REALLY speak to individuals one on one while his sons had been taught how to speak better than when they were mere children and genin. Lars thought about the difference between "Wants" and "Needs", his "Want" would be of multiple things, for revenge, for love, for support, for a life of happiness and his need would be to become stronger, to soon confront the bats of Hysteria's Garden and change his perspective of them entirely forever, just from what he had seen of Hysteria right now, it changed his perspective of them a bit, of all of them.

But wouldn't his "Need" and "Want" change after time had passed, to protect what was dear to him? No. He was beyond that now, he would simply do what he could to survive and get by...his new nindo, his need would be to become stronger and strive to live a life of happiness...even if it was forced, his want, would be to complete his aspirations, to transcend what was expected, what was needed, what was required of himself. He placed a hand upon the blue rose that Kleine gave him years ago and then looked to Hysteria, he then pulled the rose from his outfit and took a look at it with cold blue eyes, as if it meant something after all of these years...could it be that this one rose was Lars' symbol of hope for the five years he spent alone with his children, away from Akane, away from Nakamuro, away from Hisana? Merely from what Hysteria had told to others did it impact and cause Lars to go deep into thought.

Five years, five years was all it took for Lars to realize that life was too short to dwell on the past and that he needed to press onward towards the future. Hysteria spoke to the others yet Lars' eyes kept locked on her, only if someone approached to speak with him, would he take his eyes off of her and speak to them, but until then, Lars held the blue rose tightly now, causing blood to be drawn due to the thorns, it drew at his fingers but he merely pushed the pain away and let it be. As for Saemus being reborn as a human, just like them without the memories of what he had done to them...to all of them, that...was...odd but understandable.

Vincente crossed his arms and closed his eyes, Dawnfang and Moontide turned back in to chakra and entered Vincente's body again, he found that he was the safest place for his own swords, which sounded pretty odd. He couldn't express confusion now that he understood...he understood completely, this hardship changed him for the better now that he had a different look at what she'd said. "Ambition...I think I'm starting to understand." Vincente supposed that if it was really wanted he would've been dead during that fight with Lydia in the training grounds, yet he drew breath still. When they said "new" they meant without something holding them back, or at least that's what Vincente thought, and if he was correct...that's what all humans craved, no bounds to hold them back, and the end of inambition, the strength in that was almost limitless...Vincente could respect something like that. "I can understand that wish...I wouldn't want such a memory. I can respect his wish too..." Vincente didn't even expect to say such words.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Kageko's first thought to what Hysteria said was, It was the truth. In the past five years, Kageko hadn't met with a single familiar face (not counting Kuro's and Kaminari's) after having been booted from the upside down world. She had attempted to find the others at the beginning, but as the chaos continued, Kaminari managed to convince her it was a lost cause. Besides, Kageko didn't even have a concrete plan after she did meet up with them. From that moment on, the girl worked only on surviving. The independence was a blissful feeling in its own way, even with all the hardships, and the girl learned quite a bit during the four years she was alone. However, it wasn't exactly something Kageko desired, or maybe it was? The girl wasn't sure herself what she really wanted. She might have become slightly tougher, but she was as indecisive as always.

The second thought (second only because the trigger had come after the first) Kageko had was a sudden surge in independence, However, she couldn't think of anything to support the sudden independence. Hysteria was a being that ruled over all so... yeah. It didn't settle well with Kageko, but there wasn't much she could do against it.

A grimace appeared on Kageko's face for a short while before her neutral expression returned. The girl was thinking, delving into herself. What spell was Hysteria talking about? There had been no signs of Hysteria casting a jutsu on her. The only possible culprit was the item Hysteria had given her. However, Kageko had yet to figure out what it looked like, much less what it did. She could feel it in one of her unused pockets, but had yet to take it out. She didn't plan on bringing it out anytime soon either. Her secrecy had only increased over the years.

Her mental search ceased soon enough, though, as no noticeable traces of tampering were found. The Sarcellus Chandelier hadn't been in Kageko's possession long enough to create any large changes in her behavior, and it would likely need to be in her possession for a long while before anything like that happened. In a sense, Kageko often desired for suppression. It was necessary to keep her secrets secret and such. Besides, she would need top-notch control over herself if she was going to reenter the society that had forgotten her. It wouldn't do to let slip something that would confuse the friends that had forgotten her.

Kageko returned to simply listening. Beneath her hood, her eyes darted cooly from face to face. There was only one she recognized: Vincente's. He had aged, but he hadn't changed so much that she would be unable to notice him at a glance. Her eyes, well-trained, lingered on him no longer than on anyone else. However, her mind focused on him in particular. Not out of longing, though, but out of curiosity and tentative guilt. Kageko thought to herself,

(Life = Stupid c** Dumpster. -.- )

Lucifer heard the whole thing; even for a boy of his intelligence, it was a lot to wrap his head around. As Hysteria explained all of it, he found the answer becoming more and more clear to him. Obviously...he was also happy that Hysteria--or 'mom'--was now the ultimate everything of the universe. The boy--however--had one very important question. "Mom...if Saemus is coming back to life as a baby, then who's gonna raise him?" It was an issue that pressed in Lucifer's mind. He hadn't seen his own father in five years, and seeing this one raised properly was one of his first concerns.

Kleine has always worshiped Saemus; he is the only one in this world I trust to keep him completely safe. This will give me complete access to Saemus's life and the ability to check on his progress. I'm sure he'll turn out to be a great man, really. But, now that I'm all-seeing, from what I can tell, I don't think Kleine will be staying in the waterfall village for all that longer. With Saemus settled with him, he won't need a Kage's influence anymore; he already has his God that he sought, and will most likely instead begin gathering angels," She glanced at Kageko for a slight moment, "Because Kleine has always wanted to be the Jyuuha. This will be a life-long goal that Saemus will most likely assist him with. What the future holds, I can't tell you, Lucifer, so you'll simply have to wait. But, you'll always be my little boy," She smiled at the young man who seemed to be all grown up, and patted him on the head. "And know that Kleine still loves you. As a brother to Saemus, I expect you to care for him and to get along with him, but also to support Kleine. Be there for him in these hard times, just like I've been there for him when he needed me the most."

Lars looked to the young one, to Lucifer, his son as he asked of Saemus' well being and apparently still called Hysteria his mother but it seemed that she didn't mind, so Lars wouldn't question it and simply accept it after all of things he had seen and been through. To see that Hysteria was acting more calm and more...serene than usual made Lars see now, if it hadn't been grasped as she was speaking to everyone calmly here, she HAD changed but was also still a b****, just not right now. It made him realize that he had completely misjudged her, or at least, he misjudged her at a halfway point. He clenched his hands into fists and swallowed in his pride...if he even had any left and approached Hysteria...he had to make what little amends he could...he had to apologize to her but also...something more, he waited until her conversation with Lucifer had ended before approaching her and speaking, "Hysteria...I'm...sorry, I misjudged from when we first met in the Training Grounds of the Hidden Waterfall, I honestly took that moment where we had met and everyone had been attacked as a threat to mine and everyone else' safety. But as you've spoken more today and shown me a different side of you...my perspective, no, my thoughts of you have changed to an extent. You've protected the one that I loved for so long when I could not and been there for him when I couldn't...which was for longer than I could possibly ever remember, you were right in the training grounds, on that day when I "died" for a second time, he made me feel like I didn't want to live anymore, but, from what I've seen now and what I'm going to see of the future itself, I wish to live longer now and don't hold the past as a burden any longer. So if you're looking for support at all Hysteria, then I'm here to help! I want to continue living and survive so I can see my sons become stronger shinobi! Possibly even see what Saemus can do as well in the future," he said as he looked her in the eyes and grinned, showing something different, instead of emptiness as the previous Saemus had given him as fate, Lars had shown eyes of fulfillment and eyes that wished to continue on in this world, for as long as he could. He knew what he needed to do now, he needed to live.

After dancing for a little Empty left the place twisting the necklace he had received back and forth. He had a few matters to attend to. Things were looking up. instead of fully leaving he did a few seals. Another himself stepped out of his body, and walked to the village. On the way it began to tinker with its eyes. that was the first thing to deal with. Empty had wanted to be a hyuuga for quite some time.(1/20)
