Still kneeled Tyreal slowly rose to his feet as the king started to explain the reason that he was called there. It was nothing more then an attempt to further the war effort on different grounds. Why had he called him of all people over such things. He didn't let it bother him for long tho as he would now apparently be working directly under the king. A position that would have no trouble for gold nor things to worry about after he finished. "It will be an honor to work for you my liege" Tyreal said simply. There was no reason to simply question about anything currently. He didn't need to know anything more then he would be killing enemies of the kingdom. He would think it over later tho and the reason for such deceitful tactics.

The King, now looking quite pleased, began to explain a few necessary details for the mission at hand. An important one, for example, being that he was to work with the brunette woman he'd met earlier. Tyreal was to preform his duties just as much as he was to make sure that Judith was doing her's. Throughout the explanation the woman, even despite it being made obvious that was not trusted to do any such task alone lest she betray him in some form or another, kept a pleasant and patient look about her. It probably helped her demeanor to know that she would be getting out of the castle soon.

Looking over at the woman from time to time as he was told of his duties Tyreal kept a solemn face as he simply nodded. He did not understand the reason for the woman needing to be watched while she performed her tasks. While it seemed that the king wanted to keep her close he also did not trust her in the least. He couldn't understand the reason as to that sort of relationship between the two but if there missions were long he could likely find out. "When do you wish me to begin then your lordship" Tyreal said turning his focus back to the king. While he did not mind being there he did not like being in the company of one he needed to praise for to long before it started to turn his stomach.

"As soon as possible." In other words, immediately. Judith moved from the King's side and soon left the throne room entirely without so much as a word or thought for either party, presumably to go get her equipment and supplies before they would head off.

"Very well" Tyreal said giving a bow as he watched the woman walk away. He needed to get prepared as well but needed to inform the woman of his current living place. Following after the woman tho it wasn't long before he had lost track of the direction she had gone. Muttering something to himself he rubbed his head before drawing his finger across his eyes out of the sight of the king. He muttered something in an ancient language as he looked around an ethereal image of the woman walking appeared just to the left of him. The spell a helpful one allowed him to replay things in the area over the course of the last hour. A useful skill to have learned on the battlefield. Following after the ethereal image Tyreal went to find the woman.

When Tyreal found Judith he would discover that she hadn't changed into more suitable clothes, she hadn't been packing her things, and she certainly wasn't looking into weaponry of any sort. She was just getting a book to pass the time in her travels, and an apple to snack on as they left the castle. That was it. The moment she spotted him, thinking she hadn't looked or behaved unusually she greeted him with a simple, "Good afternoon."

The image faded as he found the real one he was looking for. Reaching up Tyreal rubbed his eyes to cancel the spell. She had not gone to pack or anything of the sort. "You know we will likely be gone for some time" he questioned her simply looking down at the book she held and the abble she had to snack on. "Clothing and a few other things might be a good idea to bring" he told her closing his eyes for a moment and taking a slow breath. He was put in charge of some primped and overly babied girl it seemed. This would likely make things a bit more troublesome to work with if she believed that all she would need was a book and an apple.

"You...don't know?" Judith held a silent pause for several moments before doing something unusual. She gave a simple flick of her wrist, Judith's dress completely reformed from that of nobility to that of a commoner. Not only that, but the structure itself changed to appear more practical for travel. All while not threatening her supposed modesty. Such illusions were but child's play. "There is no need. I appreciate your concern, though."

With her sudden clothing change Tyreal looked at her in a different light. It seems his presumption of her from the start had been wrong. He was lucky he had not spoken his mind to her or he would have likely sorely regretted it. "While you may be able to do such magic I am incapable of it and will need supplies" he told her reaching into his pocket and feeling the gold coins it held. A little incentive from the king that had been sent along with the letter that would help him on his journey. "You are free to follow me into town or you can meet me at the front gate by late afternoon" he told her as he turned. For this mission he would need several items along with a sleeping mat, food, clothes, and plenty of arrows.

"I'll be coming along, then." This should be interesting. For all the time Judith had spent in this mortal realm, she knew little to nothing of its customs and laws. (At least the customs and laws outside the castle. She couldn't bear to hear another word on the ridiculous manners and respect that she apparently owed her captor, the 'king'.) She followed Tyreal along quietly, her body language implying an eagerness to leave.

Hearing her footsteps behind him Tyreal only looked back for a moment before continuing on. Leaving the castle it didn't take them long on foot to get to the town below which was as usual bustling in the afternoon. Merchants and shops where loud in the streets trying to pull people in to sell there items and make a quick big of silver. He wasn't distracted tho. He knew what he needed and the few shops he planned to go to. There was no need to dally around looking thru the stalls and instead he headed straight in thru several of the stores. He only stayed in the buildings long enough to get what he needed and get out.

Withing an hour he was fully stocked up with items he would need now packed up in an easy to carry pack on his back as he looked back to make sure the woman was still following. Pleased to see she was Tyreal turned and headed for the castle gates. He needed to decide now the best way of making his trek towards the area of his mission either by cart or single steed.

Judith followed along quietly, admiring the sights where she could and observing the strange behaviors she saw as she passed by. She never let herself get too distracted to know where Tyreal was, let alone get lost. As they headed back to the castle, she absently found herself asking, "Do all people in this world require so much to survive a journey? I...I'm afraid I can't even guess the function of most of those unusual widgets you bought."
PostPosted: Sun Sep 30, 2012 7:54 am

"It's a matter of being prepared for something unexpected" Tyreal told her shifting his pack slightly. "Each is essential for either nutrition, shelter, warmth, or clothing. Without one of them it makes things more difficult tho not impossible to complete a mission where it is likely that staying in an in won't be happening all the time." Stopping he pulled his map out making a mental location of the town closest to the target area. There was a town that they could likely purchase a cart ride to less then a two kilometers from there which was all to perfect. That decided it as well. With there mission area so close there was no need to get a horse just yet.
(What kind of mission are they on currently again?)

{Espionage/Sabotage. I would assume that could mean anything from spying on the enemy officials to destroying/hampering trade routes to anything else of that nature. I never really specified how they were supposed to do their jobs, so we could take it in any direction we like. *shrugs*}

"I see, though it still baffles me that your people can't just summon any of that at a whim." Judith admitted, looking somewhat distressed at the thought. What a hard life indeed for one who couldn't just summon anything they needed at a whim. Humans had it so difficult, it seemed. Not that this would make her care about them any more or go easier on them when the time came for violence, of course.
