Convivencia Introduction XXXXX[›› La Convivencia: ("the Coexistence") is the period of Spanish history from the Muslim Umayyad conquest of Hispania in the early eighth century until the completion of the Christian Reconquista in the late fifteenth century, when Muslims, Christians and Jews in Moorish Iberia lived in relative peace together within the different kingdoms. The phrase often refers to the interplay of cultural ideas between the three groups, and ideas of religious tolerance. I chose this name for the herd because this herd is all about equality and coexisting despite many different beliefs. ‹‹]
›› As of right now recruiting for the herd is closed until plots catch up to it. :3 ›› If you're interested or have a plot/input for the herd you can STILL post or PM me, just know that it will take a while for the herd to become a reality. ›› Thanks!
"Insert dialogue"
OOC›› I have noticed that a lot of herds have a rule that states "No evil soquili" or "No good soquili" depending on the herd. It got me thinking, why can't we co-exist? Now I know this seems ridiculous, but maybe it's possible. Sure, technically we can't mix purely evil soquili with goody-goods. Skinwalkers and regulars just wouldn't work. But what about those who are in between? What about those who are, just a little different? This herd is an opportunity for darker beings to co-exist in harmony with good hearted beings.
This is a herd for the oddballs of the world, for the twisted tunnel babies and the half-breeds/crossbreeds. This is a herd for the weirdos and the freaks, for the nerds and the popular kids. This is a place where no one is strange because everyone is strange. Don't like slightly wacko beings? Don't approve of a goody-two-shoes lifestyle? This isn't the place for you. But if you don't judge others, don't believe in boundaries between light and dark, and believe in co-existing: You belong here!

Roles XXXXX[››No member or role is more important than another‹‹]
Alpha›› Alpha›› XXXX Description: There are two alphas in this herd. One represents the side of the herd with darker leanings, the other represents the side of the herd with lighter leanings. This is to ensure peace between all types of Soquili. The alpha helps to recruit members, helps to protect the herd and what the herd stands for. The alpha promotes the herd and organizes it and its events as well as recruiting new members. The alpha serves as a mediator between members of the herd and serves as the head of communication when dealing with other herds or newcomers. When the alpha(s) retire from their position they must choose candidates who have displayed high leadership skills or worth. Then, the candidates are presented to the Enforcers and the rest of the herd and then a new alpha is chosen. Anyone can be an alpha, but the alpha must be nominated by the current alphas and must be selected by the herd enforcers/members. Elder(s)›› XXXX Description: Elders are advisers to the Peace Guardians, Midwives, Alphas, etc. Whatever branch of the herd they pertain to, they will advise and oversee. They may help to train new peace guardians, or they might help with new members/foals. They are also Enforcers by nature. They help to decide who new alphas will be, they advise the herd and make sure everything is running according to tradition and rules, they help to teach new members, etc. (Note: Elders of this herd to not have to be on elder lines for this position. They are just older and wiser/RPed more/ are experienced to the ways of life or the herd.) Protector›› Protector›› XXXX Description: There are two protectors in this herd, as in the alpha position above. It is the protector's job to protect the herd and the alpha. The protector serves as a guardian as well as an advisor to the alpha and herd. Peace Guardian(s)›› XXXX Description: A lot like the protector, Peace Guardians make sure that everyone is getting along. Because this herd is such an eclectic group and because not all members are goody-goody, there must be a way to ensure that the members are all safe. This is a safe haven, but it is a safe haven for all. Therefore, there must be someone to mediate between different members and to settle any disputes. Peace guardians do this. Counselors›› XXXX Description: Counselors are someone to talk to when things seem hectic in the minds of any member. Because many members will be a little odd in the eyes of the rest of the world, they will need someone to talk to, someone who understands what that's like. Enforcers›› XXXX Description: They make sure that if anyone has strayed from the rules of the herd that they get a strong talking to and potentially community service. If things get serious enough, they give the members in question a trial and will consider whether or not the member should stay in the herd or not. If they decide "not" they are tasked with helping the member in some way with finding a new home. They also make sure the other role leaders are doing their jobs. Scouts›› XXXX Description: Scouts make sure things around the herd's territory are safe. They may bring new members in, help to find food, help to find new territory, serve as messengers between old members or other herds, etc. Hunters›› XXXX Description: Because some members of the herd will be meat eaters, there must be hunters to satisfy their appetites. Hunters do not hunt other soquili, they bring in things like rabbits, deer, etc. Gatherers›› XXXX Description: Gatherers bring in food for the herbivores of the herd. Teachers›› XXXX Description: Teachers give others the message of equality and why it is important to the herd and to the world among other lessons. Storytellers›› XXXX Description: Anyone who is good with painting imagery with their voice qualifies for this position. Story telling is a very important part of the herd and will probably be accompanied by teaching lessons. Entertainers›› XXXX Description: Entertainment! Singers, dancers, painters, etc. They will help to run ceremonial events and create new events to bring the herd closer together.
