Armand sighed and shook his head. He was really not in the mood for all this emotional and philosophical nonsense. He'd hold up a hand to Yami. "I don't care. As long as you've made things right with those you've wronged, I really, really, could care less~" And Armand would know later if he had apologized. If not, bad things would happen.
"Masako, would you kindly head upstairs. Should be a small pantry on the left. Find something non-alcoholic for our...new guest. Yami, you can help her~" He'd rather be alone to talk to this stranger at the moment. Something was off, but it wasn't worrying yet. Focusing his attention to the newcomer, he leaned back in the couch and shrugged. "I couldn't tell you why. As to why I do not kill him, well...that's not my style. Killing is just so boring and cliché, you know? I like the adrenaline rush of a good fight, but that goes away once somebody dies. I could care less about the ease, or the power, or any number of factors. I just like my freedom~" It was about time he turned the table against Shinsei.
"And what about you? I find it hard to believe that somebody would come to a quiet house in the middle of nowhere unless they had a particular interest in its owner...or one who is currently residing in it~"

She raised the bottle to her lips once more, but this time, the liquid never passed her lips. Instead, she merely pretended to take a gulp and set the bottle back down before walking up the long staircase to the next floor. "Any specific request?" She yelled from the next floor, wondering what a mysterious traveler would actually want to drink. Tea? Water? Fish blood? She sat herself on top of the staircase, just out of sight of the next floor and listened in. She didn't need to be on the same floor to understand and sense everything that would unfold beneath her.

Michael would land on the outskirts of the house and pull his hood up so his headband could not be seen. Walking up to the door he would knock and wait for his friwnd Armand to answer.
Armand heard a knock at the door and and sighed. More people? Well, might as well break out the big guns. Reaching into the cabinet, he pulled out one of the more expensive bottles and let it sit there for anybody that wanted it. He had too much money. It was quite shameful.
Walking over to the door and opening it, he didn't say much of a greeting, just nodding his head into the house, signaling Michael to enter. "Come in, take your hood off, stay a while. Apparently I'm having a house party~"
Armand had no idea where these people were emerging from.

Michael smiled at Armand and walked in. Lowering his hood to reveal his headband and as he walked in his wings folded in and into his cloak. Reaching into the same cloak he pulled out a small vial and held it out to Armand. "I found this and it reminded me of you." He noticed the drinks on the table but kept his cool for the moment. Readjusting his headband which kept slipping down to reveal his new sharingan.
xxxxxMasako ignored the inane babbling noise that came out of Yami's mouth, preferring instead to concentrate on the other conversations occuring through out the small home. Of particular interest was the mysterious man who had arrived with Yami, and the new guest who had just arrived as she was walking up the steps. She continued to sit there, on top of the stairs, listening and sensing everything that went on around her. She raised the bottle to her lips once again and pretended to drink from it.

Armand was a little put off by the sudden offering of the vial, but quickly grabbed it and placed it in his clothing, somewhere. "Could've taken that out a bit more privately. People shiv each other for that kind of thing. But thanks, I'm sure there will be a use for it~" The fact that the contents of the vial reminded Michael of Armand was...a little weird, but Armand wasn't going to call him on it. "Most people are out and about, drinking or not. I have no idea. I wasn't really planning on a house party but we now have one going on. So...make yourself at home. Mingle~" He noted Masako sitting on the stairs, but he figured it was best to not leave the Shinsei's presence without first talking to him. She certainly seemed a little out of place.

Michael nodded at Armand and decided to look around. Taking note of the female on the stairs and the amount of drink that was in the bottle he figured he would go talk to her. Heading to the stairs he would stop and say. "Hello why are you sittin' up there all by yourself ma'am?" In his mind he hoped that being he was from the leaf she would not hate him due to the fact of grass and leaf's current predicament.

He'd resolved to remove the inhibitions that clouded his life; the people of old that he found beautiful, and the ones of new that prevented his ascent. Brighton was not here, and so this place lacked in relevance. It was a stop, just a pause where he could sit and gather his thoughts. That was all. The man sat up quite quickly, and stared at the teal-headed boy. "To be honest, I find people like you very exhausting. You try to be different, act different, but that's what it is: trying. It's pretentious. Armand, do you have a reason for the ridiculous way you speak? Your voice and your words annoy me. Somehow I feel like you do it on purpose. There's something about you that is forced." Still, there was probably nothing more annoying to him than Yami. He was quite audibly speaking to a demon, and one less clever and overbearing than the Enemy. A twisted creature. A vortex of energy.
He picked up one of the drinking glasses, and threw it at the jinchuuriki. "You are forced too. You don't really care about these people, and apologizing to them was just insurance because you felt cornered. It won't change anything, though. They don't like you, and they won't like you. You are too bratty, too self-absorbed. You think too much about dead people and 'vengeance'. The moment someone peaks into your mind, that's all they can see. It's ridiculous. Why don't you grow up some?" He could go on forever about the ridiculousness of the people just in this room. Everywhere he went, he was surrounded by disgusting people with ridiculous fears that meant nothing to the naked eye. He wasn't really here to constantly spew out judgments, however. Instead, he had a different idea.
"I am Shinsei Karnata. You might have heard of me; the Shogun of the Fire. I'm here to improve, which is essentially the reason I'm ever anywhere. I came to kill a particular man, and I will do that. However, I could also stand to improve in other ways. For example, alliances. Deals of mutual benefit. I could kill Yami for you. Or anyone you don't like. In exchange, you could help me kill a few people that I don't like. Or, I could find you eyes, as a trade for your services. I'm looking for mercenaries, bounty hunters, soldiers and traitors; I want a group built on mutual benefit, but only . . . of the shinobi of an opposing nation. Can any of you guess why that might be?"

Armand could only help but grin. Shinsei was the first person to criticize his tone, where others either loved or hated it silently. Well, except Aomi, but she was a different story. "Sure I have a reason. A multitude, actually. Nobody's voice is this way naturally. I do it because I like to, and because it gives me a certain comfort. Why should I bend and break my own will to somebody else who finds it to be a minor annoyance?~"
As Yami left, he gave him a wave to show that their was no ill will, and let the door swing shut behind him on its own. It was a little humorous, Shinsei's talk of Yami. It was a more...eloquent version of Armand's own rantings. The shogun's later offer was...very interesting. Fun, even. At least, it sounded like it could be fun.
"Well, that certainly is the way of the world, hm? Mutual benefit? Your offer sounds very fun, but I'm not sure if I'm the one to go to for it. Yami is of no consequence to me, I have no wish for him to die. If he continues on his path, death will find him. I'll tell you what...killing's not my style, but that doesn't mean it can't happen. If you can give me some good fights, I'll make 'em happen. In return, hmm...you'll owe me a general favor or two. Can't spoil them now, can I? That wouldn't be fun~" A deal with the devil was new. It beat the laws, the restrictions, the chains that held him to Kusagakure. Armand was pained that he wasn't truly free. He was always under the thumb of the Kusakage. It was his duty to Vivian that kept him in the ANBU, but now he couldn't get away. Armand needed an out.

She rose from her position on the stairwell and gently walked down its length, gliding down them with the grace of a falling leaf. "Hmmm, you promise many things, a few of them catching my ear. The mighty Shinsei Karnata, Shogun of the Fire, graces our lands, asking for soldiers who will fight for him as tensions already rise between the villages. I have no real love of the Grass, and it has been many years since I have. I would be more than happy to serve you when the times in exchange for one thing." She continued to walk past the man, and into the kitchen. She fell into an arm chair taking what appeared to be a very long sip and looked up at him. "A Sharingan. Your village is home to that bloodline, correct? I assume that as someone of your stature, it would be a trivial manner to obtain. And know that I have a certain way of doing things, and I do hate when I can't do it my way." Her eyes fell upon the guest who was called Michael, who despite his efforts to shield his eyes, could not hide his power from her. If she couldn't get one from Shinsei, he would be a good back up.
