Sumiko listened as Kuhaku wasted his breath on Kai. He always felt it necessary to make himself seem far more important than he really was. She turned to Kuhaku, grinning at him as she spoke. "Don't use such strong words Ku-kun, it'll only make you look weak." Slowly, the clone merged with the floor, disappearing from sight after only a few moments. The hands would also release themselves from Kai's feet, freeing him to move around. "Don't pay him any mind whatsoever. Do whatever you think is right. That's the way of the Otogakure Shinobi. If you walk down the path that you believe is right, you cannot be wrong. It is the path you have chosen. Take pride in it. And next time, don't use explosive tags indoors. I'd rather not use your lifeless body to clean the floors."

Mokuton: Hotei no Jutsu [Wood Release: Hotei Technique] C-SS After performing the required hand seals, the user creates a number of gigantic wooden hands that erupt upward from beneath the ground, which encircle and then attempt to restrain a chosen enemy. The size of each of these hands varies greatly, a gennin can make small hands, while a kage can create hands large enough to hold down a tailed beast. Hands are created in sets of 2.
Mokuton: Moku Bunshin [Wood Release: Wood Clone] C Rank A skill that causes a bunshin made of wood to emerge either from the body or the ground. These clones can easily be tracked by the user, and they have a direct link with the user. When this bunshin is struck by taijutsu, half the damage is returned to the opponent. The clone can also transformed into a pill that when swallowed, the user and the caster of the pill can communicate through thoughts.

Ah, transfer techniques, he'd have to pay attention to prevent those in the future. And, indeed, explosive tags were a rather crude method, he'd rather learn a more clean-cut method of disposing of his opponents.
Sumiko's words of advice were comforting, however the thorn seemed intent on pricking Kai's a**. His chakra levels were incredibly high, his elements... gravity? It didn't take much to notice, as he made such a display of his powers in public. He didn't have any mixed chakra, so one would assume it to be his only element. His eyes were obviously the famous Rinnegan, but the more famous you are the more well-known your weaknesses become. His physical capabilities didn't seem too much based only on his muscle definition, but that was always a tricky thing with shinobi.
If it was him and a capable other, winning... wasn't impossible.
But first he'd like to learn that more elegant technique he'd been meaning to. Placing his palms on the ground, he focused his chakra between his hands, creating a line. Refining it, the energies folded unto themselves and rose like a curtain to create a window in front of him. It hardened. Not stopping there, he dragged his fingers down behind him, the chakra line following and expanding up, until he let go and it finished itself into a rectangular prism by itself. The chakra barrier, as Kai struck it to determine its strength, cracked and shattered like crystal. Sighing, Kai corrected the mistake, drawing the perimeters once more, this time attempting to change the chakra to a more liquid state, weaving it like thread through itself. However, while it may have resisted a strike by fist, it failed miserably against the blade. As experiments go, this was rather successful. He finally decided to perform the technique correctly, transforming the chakra to a more gaseous state, a barrier to contain the self-healing particles such that it might not immediately cave under any sort of attack. [Barrier Technique learned]
Sumiko stared as Kai began to practice a new jutsu, seeing an opportunity to bolt. "Ah, I see you know how to teach yourself jutsu. Guess my job is done. If you wanna keep training, go fight with Ku's team. Oh shoot, look at the time, gotta run." With that, she would rise from the floor, making it to the doorway in the blink of an eye before disappearing entirely from the dojo.

[Otogakure] - [Genin] - [Hyuuga] - [Magician]
Izuru let out a typical cute childish laugh before looking at his teammate for a moment and then back to his sensei.
"The two of us, against you? That's so not fair for you Ojiisan~ Didn't you know? We are the dynamic duo!" Izuru struck a pose of some sort, something that looked like one of those hero poses, or was it a Ginyu Force pose? Hell, maybe it was even the Great Saiyaman pose from the legends. Truthfully, he didn't even know himself. Maybe he saw it on the side of his cereal box or something, it just seemed fitting. Turning to Zephyr he gave the sharkboy a look that held a very specific meaning to it, and without even turning back to Kuhaku he launched himself towards the man like a rocket with his superior speed. That strong first step was the first part of the plan and was actually a technique called Īkagen'ni shite which hits the ground with a strong force caused thunderous vibrations which in turn knock standing opponent's prone or vise vera.
Hopefully, this would have knocked the unsuspecting Kuhaku down. If it did, when Izuru reached him with this dash, the next strong step, or planting of his foot to shift his momentum into more power, would do the opposite and instead launch Kuhaku into the air. Now with his target hopefully defenseless in mid-air, Izuru would thrust his arm forward, attacking with a spinning palm thrust directed towards what would hopefully be the man's midsection. From said palm would launch an invisible wave of chakra that hits with a strong blunt force, also known as the Hyuuga technique, Hakke Kuushou.
»Chakra: 124/130 »Speed: 7 »Strength: 8 »Passives: • 5 Chakra Regen per post • May use one Taijutsu style for free and gain stats, may learn one additional taijutsu style. • Direct hits on the opponent take away [10] chakra points. When hitting an opponent with Hyuuga techniques, 10% of the usual chakra drain is applied. For example, using the complete 8 Trigrams 64 Palms on an opponent will take 64 points as opposed to 640. • Expel Hyuuga members have an intense control over their own chakra system, allowing them to expel chakra from any point on their body with a simple thought. This can be enough to break most ropes, and anyone holding onto them may also have the chakra points in their hands closed when the chakra is expelled. • Oni's Blood The Magician's connection to natural energy gives them the ability to detect movements in the flow of natural energy around them. This gives the Magicians a very high level of perception, allowing them to recognize incoming masses of chakra, as well as detecting the flow of energy within the bodies of their opponents to gain insight on their next moves. Similarly to the Rinnegan, this means that enemies with higher chakra signatures are more easily combated, as the movements in their chakra are much easier to detect. This also means that enemies with higher chakra levels can be sensed from further away. • Can I Borrow an Assistant from the Crowd? Along with their ability to sense chakra, the natural energy connection allows the Magicians to have a personalized companion, typically an animal. This animal must be applied for within the pet applications--or right away with the bloodline application--and is subject to review from the regular summon/pet approver. If the Magician is willing to part with their ability to summon other hierarchies on the traditional summoning list, they may choose to have one much more powerful familiar, complete with a sage mode of its own. The sage mode--however--must at least mirror the current standard of sage modes in the guild, no stronger. Whereas the single summoned familiar may be more powerful than a boss summon, as it is the only summonable companion they get. if their outside chakra source is destroyed, so is their connection to this companion. Like the chakra source, this disconnection is only temporary, and can be repaired outside of battle. • Dragon Breathing Technique The user's breathing further capitalizes on their strength and allows them to stand their ground against attacks that would, normally, knock them on the floor. As long as the user can breathe, their feet will not leave the ground unless they are dislodged by a force far greater than them, such as violent winds that rip trees from the ground, or the forces of gravity. • Enduring Soul The user, after training under intense circumstances, can withstand four times the amount of weight their body holds, and lift twice their body weight with one arm. Lifting four times the weight of the body requires both arms, and will, essentially, make the user unable to move while it strains their body. That being said, that can endure massive amounts of pressure very early on, meaning that most hits will not faze them when combined with the Dragon Breathing Technique. They can still be damaged and die, but they will never cease their advance. • We're just getting started! This ability takes away the user's ability to attack for the post they're doing it. They taunt the enemy, lowering their guard so they can gather latent energy from resting. Even though they can't attack, they can dodge, which might be just enough. For every time this power is used, every jutsu is locked, but the user regains 5 points of chakra if they don't get hit in the post where they taunted the enemy. • Heavy Stander The user can be pushed back, but they now grip the ground much better and are difficult to move. Users that have learned Heavy Stander also have a hard time losing their balance or getting dizzy. This removes the ability to feel nauseous given that the user is trained enough in standing under so much pressure that their bodies have acclimated to the feeling of sickness. Combined with Enduring Soul and the Dragon Breathing Technique, the user has the freedom to choose where they're standing. They still take damage, but moving them is a feat that not many can achieve.
Technique(s) Used • Īkagen'ni shite (Come on...)D Rank x2 The user generally relies on standing opponents to fight, so they step on the ground and pour all of their strength in to it, causing any opponent laying down to bounce in to the air. It also brings opponents that are in the ground out of it, sending them flying as well. It doesn't do physical damage on its own, but using this ability on an enemy that's standing will knock them on the ground while using it again will bounce them in to the air. This technique is almost childish in nature, but it serves a purpose. Knocking the enemy on the ground may be useful for an escape or setting up defense, while most of the user's abilities are effective against enemies that are in the sky. • Hakke Kuushou - Eight Divination Signs Air PalmC Rank Extending chakra from his body, the user will thrust his palm at his target. This will send out an invisible wave of chakra that can knock his opponent back. It is unknown if this wave can also collapse his target's tenketsu points. •
Kai nodded as Sumiko rushed away, and focused on his training. He was always more of an introvert, and focusing on technique felt more natural for him.
So, without further ado, let's start a training montage:
Kai channelled his chakra through the kunai, manipulating part of his shadow into and around it, much like he would elemental chakra. This, however, was more yin than yang, a stranger extension of elements which others might not understand so well. [Shadow Piercing learned]
He then threw it, trailing it with fuuton threads which surrounded it, curving it as he manipulated his hands, almost puppet-like. The kunai travelled as he willed it, and struck the ground where he wanted. The combination was strong. [Projectile Control Technique learned]
Secondly, focusing on the new target on the ground, he put his Yamanaka training to work and concentrated his psychic energies into a ball of sorts, bouyant yet strong. With a focused mind, he launched the energy from his forehead and struck the grounded kunai into the air towards him. [Mental Pushback learned]
Next, as the kunai now flew at him, Kai manipulated the wind once more, turning it into a disk. Now, folding it forwards, he designed a parabola such that the kunai entered the wind tunnel and was effectively curved around to shoot out the same way. [Spinning Shields of Wind learned]
Gathering the excess wind, Kai gathers the gales about his arms, channeling them down into his palms and focusing them with his fingers. In a single burst, the winds tornadoed from his hands and launched Kai several feet back. [Propelling Winds learned.]
While in the air, Kai focused chakra into his legs, sending out a short burst of thrust such that allowed him to spin in the air, slightly shifting his trajectory to allow him to land at a more efficient and safer angle. [Aerial Dodge learned]
Now, while this might take longer, Kai took the time to begin learning a new seal, Hiku. Its purpose was to pull items to it, and could even be specified toward certain elements such as fire or water. In fact many fount it to be useful for cheap lightning rods and fire escapes. Still, though, Kai saw another use for it. He drew the seal out on a piece of tag paper and focused his chakra into it, forming the specification he desired: "Mind". While untested, Kai hypothesized that placing this tag on somebody might significantly increase the chances of his Mind-Body Swap succeeding. Finding a suitable specimen, a squirrel, Kai placed the seal unto his target and took aim as it left, releasing his mind energies into a single missile which homed in on the target. Then he was a squirrel. Success? [Hiku learned].
Next is the most important seal for him, the concealing Kyakko which might allow him to sneak up on his opponents or gain the element of surprise which, for his skillset, was of the utmost importance. Designing the seal and placing the light curving commands in place, Kai tested the Kyakko in a square four-seal formation. Inside it was a kunai. Kai, while still able to sense the chakra around the seals themselves due to his specialization, could not visibly notice the weapon. A thought, just then, occured to Kai. Drawing up a new tag, Kai took the weapon and wrapped its hilt with the seal, watching as the magic happened and the dark blade began to become transparent and finally unseen. He channeled his chakra through it, both the Yin Shadow and his Fuuton, and threw it. He could still guide it, and it would still paralyze... this was potentially very powerful, under ideal circumstances. It still wouldn't do to much against sensors, though the effectiveness of the control itself might be enough to catch most off-guard. [Kyakko learned.]

A blur of motion veiled in thick, black and white chakra would appear in a blur of superspeed to the center of the room grounds and a loud burst of sound would get everyones attention from the woman's position. "Report to zones two and three of the Mt. Daimyakou. Do not enter Zone one on pain of death. You have two days to report. This is a message from your Kage and Shogun both. That is all." Just as fast as she came, she disappeared after delivering the message to everyone.
Han would step into the Sound Dojo's Ninjutsu Training Area, holding a few scrolls regarding his ancestry, the heritage, and its history. He wanted to know more about the Heilands and what greatness existed from them but at the same time, he needed to train on techniques and study up for the battles ahead so his story wouldn't end before it could even begin. He would start with his bloodlines and then move on to his element, the one where no other could rival him in, Ice. He opened up the book regarding the Psycho Demons and got to studying, hitting the books but not literally hitting the books as it were.
Han flipped through pages and studied as much as he could with all the time that he had but he would keep his ears open for any of his fellow classmates or superiors that came to train also.
