x'D I wasn't sure if you mean like they were looking but were only accepting plots rather than rp or if you meant they were just in here looking for plots, I figured I'd mention just in case.

But yes, I would love to offer her as a fling (although I would be open to repeated non monogamous flings if that was something you'd be interested in)! She's part of the Code of Edda herd. Her mother is part of the Sinclair herd but when Coquette met Solveig's father she agreed that any female children they had would be raised to become Valkyrie. Her long information is here but basically she is a hardened warrior with the end goal of sending pure and worthy souls on their way to Valhalla... Willing or not. She feels somewhat disdainful of outsiders who do not adhere to her herd's ways but it is mostly presents itself as a patronizing attitude, she does not actively hate outsiders, she's not mean or cruel to them, but were she to kill one, she would not feel bad about it because they are neither contributing to her cause nor worthy of Valhalla (I intend for this to be an area where she will have personal growth in the future, this is one of her baseline personality struggles so she will grow to have more empathy as she experiences more of people outside Edda... To an extent). She experiences battlelust to an unsettling degree from her Cleaver heritage and views it as personal weakness since she is unaware that it runs in her bloodline to feel that way. Very important is that Primrose would not be in danger of being killed by Solveig to be sent to Valhalla unless Solveig felt her to be objectively completely pure, untouched by darkness and just too good for this world. I would ask for at least female offspring of Solveig to be raised as Valkyrie but males would be welcome as well.

Primrose is one of my more innocent characters (though not completely so, since she wished doom and despair on her captors for a long time) so I think that puts her in the clear of Solveig's religious wrath/blessing... thing?

I've been looking at the Code of Edda herd for a while and I would (ooc) love this pair to be a thing, if only so that any fillies that may result in this breeding could be apart of that herd. heart

I do worry that their personalities might clash a little, since Primrose is a shy, friendly mare. She (as of right now) has only just started exploring the Kawani Lands after running away from the Carousel and the ponies there. She is unfamiliar with a lot of things at the moment and while that does lead her to the potential of being taken advantage of or seduced, she'll need to feel somewhat comfortable with the Soq in question in order for that to happen first. Primrose would find Solveig more than a little intimidating upon first glance (between the blade and the tentacles, I think xD) but she tries not to base things on appearance only, so if Solveig tried approaching her with a... I don't know "softer" first impression, then that could be the thing that opens Primrose to the notion of "she's actually pretty cute!"

For IC reasons, would it be acceptable to the herd if Primrose came to help raise the foals that she bore with Solveig while they were growing up? Or would she have to join to see that happen? I don't see Prim ever abandoning any of her baskets, even after she realizes that this breeding won't lead her to a fairytale ending.

I'm great at accidentally misinterpreting, and bumping into doorways as a pass through, its a gift x'D.

There is definitely the potential for Primrose to be targeted by Solveig, although she would see it as a reward/blessing, she would see it as the ultimate complement to think someone was so pure that they deserve to be sent to paradise. Solveig looks for someone who is either so sheltered and pure she would want to save them from the world or someone who has been through hell but has been left unmarked by darkness, who makes sacrifices for the good of all. And its more about who they are now vs who they were. She needs to really evaluate who she is with to make sure she is sending the right person along and not being misled, which is difficult because she doesn't really enjoy spending time with those outside of her herd. I wanted her to have a lot of openings to pursue other characters but still leave means of escape for plotting purposes. We could definitely work up to Solveig actively trying to kill Primrose to send her to Valhalla, but if Solveig developed feelings for Prim, she could ultimately decide to spare her because she can't be sure that she's objective enough to judge her properly. So thats one option for Primrose ultimately living, we could also plot that Solveig seduces Prim out of simple physical attraction and to keep her around for study, and ends up sparing her when Primrose reveals something that would 'disqualify' her from being considered for Valhalla. Up to you!

Awesome! I think they would make a really interesting pairing, I definitely could see some personality clashing, but sometimes opposites attract? If Solveig began to suspect that Primrose was worthy of Valhalla she would be inclined to keep visiting her while she investigated that, and while she would never become super friendly or affectionate, if she thought she was a pure soul she would actually be spared Solveig's disdain. Most of her negative attitude towards outsiders is based off of basically thinking of them as dangerous because if one of her sisters were to kill someone unworthy of Valhalla they could taint themselves. So she's basically like, if you're not worthy of Valhalla, then you're a danger to the other Valkyrie's souls. But if she thought Primrose was pure, she wouldn't see her as a danger. Additionally, she's developing a cautious relationship with her mom as an adult now, who she has already decided is not worthy of Valhalla, so thats a start towards softening her attitude. I think that she would be originally attracted to Primrose as a potential candidate, then get to know her and find herself attracted to Prim as a person, and then when/if she ultimately decides to spare her, she would have already gotten to know her so she wouldn't just hate her all of a sudden.

Perhaps we could plot that Primrose caught Solveig in somewhat compromising circumstances when they first met to make Prim feel more comfortable? She could have been injured or had some sort of emotional upset. While she doesn't reveal her emotions around others, she still experiences them, she's just not good at expressing them even around people she's comfortable with. So if she was upset and alone, Primrose could potentially come across her crying or something and then she would be so embarrassed it would throw her off a little. I don't think she would lash out, she would just snap her walls back up and probably blush bright red for the remainder of their encounter.

I'd have to double check with Ryuu but I think it is actually very rare for adults who weren't raised as Valkyrie to be adopted into the herd unless they show they can embrace the culture fully. Since Primrose (I'm assuming?) is not a fighter or willing to kill others, its unlikely they would allow her to join as an adult.

So, first of all, Primrose would be allowed to claim and raise the male offspring any way that she wishes, but the Valkyrie's will claim ultimate custody of any females (and males till adulthood if she wanted them to be raised according to the code rather than keep them separate). Traditionally, the children are raised communally by the herd rather than by their birth parents. There is a potential that the two could raise their daughters together but the daughters would need to visit the herd frequently for lessons to be accepted by the herd and considered Valkyrie.

Solveig would flat out refuse to breed without ensuring that Primrose understood that the Valkyries would claim custody of the females to be trained as Valkyrie. I would say that for this to realistically happen, the pregnancy would need to be entirely unplanned and Solveig would ultimately be forced to concede in this area in order to have any control of what happens to the kids.

If we went the traditional way, Solveig could invite Primrose to visit as often as she likes so she could still see the girls, but she would be restricted to the visiting areas of the herd lands unless escorted at all times (to prevent misunderstandings). I don't think she would neccessarily be invited to help raise the kids, but she could talk to them and have a relationship with them, it would just be unconventional.
