Ota and Kamia exchanged a glance when Avahk asked about Ota's remark. They had gotten this far, and Tseva hardly made herself seem like a concern with her questions. It would be worse to say nothing to their friend.
"We've both seen Shangyue's end," she said, being completely honest about that one particularly encouraging factor, "His eyes are on us now so we've been set back, but we're going to help it get here."
Kamia smiled.
"We can't go far very fast anyway," she added, "If we're going to take back the pride, it needs to be as much of the pride as can be rallied together. Shangyue's coup worked with his relatively small crew, but he was also a legitimate heir to the throne."
As awful as it was, that made a big difference.

Ota perked up when Tseva, very suddenly, understood the meaning of her remark. It was rare to have people immediately figure them out, never mind speak in a tone free of doubt.
"We are," she agreed.
"We have spoken to Nyeusi, though indirectly," Kamia said, "We have some friends helping keep an eye on her in case she gets into trouble, at this point she seems like a safe way to get people started."
"The King won't take her seriously for some time, she sounds crazy," Ota smiled, "But Nyeusi is not what got us started, I promise."

"Wait...what? Seers?" Avahk did not know a great deal about such a thing. In fact, he didn't think he'd even heard the word before. But at least his mate, who'd been quiet and worried all through this conversation, seemed to know exactly what she was talking about. So he could always ask Tseva later what exactly was going on.
The grey lion was relieved to hear that poor Nyeusi with her broken mind did have people looking out for her. But it was somewhat disturbing to hear Ota talking so seriously about how long it would take for Shangyue to worry about her ravings.
"I'm...uh...glad that she'll be safe," he said finally.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Seers. That made a world of difference. And a pair of them working together! Tseva was suddenly much more confident in a rebellion headed by this pair of lionesses. If they had foreseen the King's eventual fall, then they would succeed. There could be no doubt. She'd never heard of a Seer being wrong. Misinterpreting what they saw, sure. Choosing words that didn't describe their visions very well, definitely. But wrong? Never.
"That is very good to know," she replied. "And if you've seen his end, all to the better. What help I can give, I'll be happy to offer," she told them, committing herself to the surety of their visions.
