Outcome: Rebel Victory!

Nko's plan to attack despite these two not being their target ultimately backfires. Yue'shi, Chandran and Boinedal (if he gives his true loyalties away) come out victorious with minimal injury to themselves and some minor damage done to Nko and/or Icky.

Boinedal felt like time stopped when he heard Nko shout the words attack. He felt himself dart towards Yue'shi. He was moving without thinking. As he approached Yue'shi he twisted and around a let out a growl at Nko.

"Back off." he growled his words low and harsh. He cast his eyes towards Yue'shi. He wondered why she and her brother were here alone, he was angry that she had put herself in danger but was happy that it was his group she came to. It meant that he was here to protect her.

The weight of his decision came down on him a little, he knew from now on he would not be able to go back to the pride until the false King was taken down. That was if he even made it away tonight with his life.

At first the lions looked a little confused, as if they weren't sure if she and her brother were juicy enough targets. Yue'shi swatted a paw at her brother, hopefully playing into whatever he had set up while keeping true to her own plan.

"How careless for you to....oh whatever, just bring it on!" Hearing some old crone talk about her father that way made Yue'shi thirsty for blood, but that wasn't the point of their mission. They were a diversion; nothing more.

With the charge happening Yue'shi wasn't sure how to play it out. Boinedal was moving at the same speed as the other lioness, but if he got here first she wouldn't be able to not attack him. Not if he wanted to keep his cover, though...it didn't' seem as if he really wanted to.

She tossed him a quick nod, and then passed one to Chandran to let him know this was one was safe. Later she would have to explain just how close she was to Boinedal; but that was later. Right now, they fought!

"Three on two isn't as promising as it was a moment ago, is it?"
Yue'shi sneered. She charged at the other lioness, paw raised and claws extended, fully intending on attacking her face.

Chandran actually allowed himself to feel anger for once, "More likely that he has more important things to deal with than some rabble." He commented with a snarl. "It's almost an insult to us that we have to deal with you." His gaze was cold and dangerous as he stared at the lioness. These were a part of that false king's pack? How he had waited for these fights to begin...

As the lion approached Yue'Shi, Chandran charged forward. The sudden change, however, made the lion stop in his tracks. What? His gaze flickered towards his sister as she gave him confirmation. So this was one of those 'contacts' she had spoken of. That noted, Chandran moved aside for the male. It was a bold move for him to openly reveal himself like this. It was good knowing that his sister had another protector. Chandran just hoped he was as good in a fight as he was at expressing his loyalties to them.

That moment of pause gave his sister room to attack and Chandran dug his claws into the ground. He would come and attack the sides to keep his sister safe. While he had wanted to do a less direct tactic of taking attention from their father it seemed that in this case fighting was inevitable.

'Varinen had gathered himself and began charging heedlessly forward when Nkosazana sounded the attack. He hadn't expected Boinedal to get out there in front of him and then turn around. The grey male hastily tried to stop his forward momentum and somehow managed to end up flat on his stomach with a mouthful of dirt.

He may have missed some of the dialogue, but he didn't miss the purple lioness throwing his own thoughts back on him. Three on two was definitely bad when their third had become the rebels' third.

"Um," the Royal Guard began inelegantly, twisting his neck around to look at the brown lioness.

"Do we still want to kill them?" Yksivarinen asked.

She had issued her orders and charged for the lioness so foolishly to present herself. Nko saw Boinedal a blur beside her. Together they could topple this lioness and..... What?! Her mind cried incredulously as the purple lion turned to face her. This. What did Boinedal think he was doing?! She skidded to a halt and glared at the pair well out of range of the purple lioness.

Nko snarled, though it was unclear at who. Her eyes balefully fixed on Boin. "The king will hear of your defection traitor, and who your loyalties can be bought so cheaply." She sneered at the lioness. "No 'Varinen. We're leaving." His pitiful performance demanded a shameful withdrawal. There was no way she could take on all three of them herself. She turned and huffed off. Maybe she was just getting too old for this.

Jiang had circled back when he realized the trio wasn't keeping up. He saw the tables had been turned as Boinedal was now with two other lions. What was going on? It was clear when Nko started walking away that things had gone poorly. The bird wisely kept his distance.

Boinedal let out a sigh of relief once Nko turned and began to head back towards the pride. He had made a decision, he wasn't sure it was the best one but it was the one he was the happiest with. He turned back towards Yue'shi and her brother.

"I hope that you have somewhere I can stay. Doesn't seem like I will be going back to the pride anytime soon." Boinedal told her. He kept his eyes on teh retreating loyals, he would not move from this spot till they and their bird were long gone. He didn't want any chance of them circling back around and seeing where they went. He counted it as a victory but he wasn't sure it really was one.
