Your dragon flames a small strand of thread, but unfortunately, a gust of wind blows the ash back into you. Your dragon hisses in pain, and if your face isn't protected, you might get a burn yourself! Thankfully, the burn isn't severe, and your dragon at least can carry on. [+1 Pain Resilience // -2 HP]
The throw was clean and F'gon caught it with little issue. Thank you, Shanaloth~ Farvath rumbled fondly to the green before putting his head back into the game to chew up more stone...
It gave all the more gusto for flaming the next clump of thread. Unfortunately the wind changed before they could move away and the bronze hissed with pain as the ash got into his eyes. While F'gon kept him steady and level, Farvath blinked it away.
Your dragon is starting to feel tired. This particular fight is wearing them down. A strong gust of winds tries to throw them out of their position. Roll a D4 to see what happens!
You feeling your age, buddy? F'gon teased, feeling the moment of weariness through their bond. Farvath thrummed at him - almost a laugh of a sound. Him? Tired...?

The feelings of being super amazing were pretty strong this time out, despite how both dragon and rider actually hated fighting Thread. Both understood how important it was, of course, but that didn't make it something they enjoyed. It seemed as though they were doing good, except....
roll 1: Your dragon hits a sudden thermal of air, threatening to push them up unexpectedly, and to miss their target! If a bronze or brown, thankfully, your dragon is able to fight the current of air, and keep their position steady. [+1 Stamina] roll 2: You check in on your dragon to ensure they're doing all right. Thankfully, your dragon responds that they're feeling fine. All that training and practicing is coming full circle, as your dragon isn't feeling particularly fatigued. If they are suffering from a Fatigue Effect, they get a burst of renewed energy and the status is removed. [+1 Stamina] If your dragon isn't suffering, you are allowed to quote a fellow wingmate (must be in your same wing) who is suffering the effect! Your dragon trumpets at them encouragingly, making them feel better, and giving them a renewed burst of energy and effort. Your dragon is blown out of formation. They struggle and flap against the wind, and only are able to recover when the wind dies down, feeling more exhausted than before. Worse, you think they may have pulled a muscles in their wing arm! Best watch it. [Light Damage -1 HP ]
Farvath would have laughed it off entirely had the wind not pushed the bronze from his formation. With a thrum of irritation, he pushed back against it, determined to prove himself not an old man. Still, the struggle had made one of his wings begin to ache. Not enough that he would complain, however.

. . . . . . . Both rider and dragon echoed the same feeling of a child being caught with their hand in the sweets jar as a sudden gust of wind blew them out of where they needed to be. Thankfully there had been no one there when they got pushed so no one was bumped in, but there was no way their little accident hadn't been seen.
F'ell knew he'd be hearing about this later.

Your dragon spots a few clumps of thread being blown about in front of them. If brown or bronze, they don't need as much speed, and instead belch a long flame, catching all three with ease. +1 Target Accuracy, +2 Flame Length!]
Perhaps to make up for the ache in his old bones, Farvath was eager to catch a particular clump of thread, surging after it and bellowing flame that even F'gon wouldn't have been wishing to catch (not that he ever did, but it made the cold air feel warm up there).

We need to get back in formation. Hurry. F'ell's words weren't a command, though they weren't a request either, and he pictured clearly in his mind where they needed to be right now. Teth gave a small mental grunt of agreement and popped the pair Between.

They came out where they needed to be, in terms of both formation and timing. Thread was right there, and with a mighty bellow Teth effortlessly flamed it down. His reward was a pat, and again the brown giggled. He liked being praised and doing a good job!

Alzarth didn't want to hear K'on's rebuttal, however, and despite the wind kept himself flying steady. He'd still be a tired dragon when all was said and done but sleep could come after they'd both worked a little harder.

Did you see?? I got it. The smugness was slowly starting to return, but F'ell allowed it. Teth was flying amazingly well at the beginning and therefore there was no reason to put a damper on his mood. They had a whole flight to go and after this would be much tougher. I am tough too.
Of course you are.

You're low on firestone! If you've already replenished recently (within the last 5 posts) you may choose to skip this roll and just do a general post for no XP. OR you can keep it and blame it on a faulty bag, or some other excuse for being without stone. Call for one of the weyrlings to send you another sack of stone! [Flag down a weyrling! Post this code in your next post and see if a weyrling can get to you!

Shanaloth was doing rather well in the lower altitudes, blipping over to Alzarth and his rider to hand off the stone with little fanfare or fuss. She'd be able to keep this up as long as she didn't have to go into the chaos above too quickly....

Trying valiantly to catch some thread, your dragon flames a bit sooner than you would have preferred. Surprisingly enough, the flame is long, hot, and sustained longer than usual. Your dragon manages to flame the clump and return to their position in their wing. [+1 Flame Length]
Thank you, dear~ Alzarth kreeled softly to Shanaloth before the green parted, then took a moment to assess their direct area while K'on secured it. He'd barely gotten it in place when Alzarth peeled from their position to chase after a stray clump, burning it to dust with no mercy before they ducked back into position.

Ouch! Feeding your dragon some firestone has resulted in them biting their tongue! This is going to distract your dragon for the next three rolls.
