World - Cartwright (c) vs. Ken Armand

[Ken Armand]

Ken pretty much just rolls his eyes as the champion backs off again. Obviously the crowd isn't happy about it either as they boo the champion but the count isn't high yet. Ken crouches slightly, ready to attack if need be, as he watches the champion still  

[Cartwright]

Cartwright mouths-off at some nearby fans who are shouting nasty things at him and threatens to give them a back hander to their faces. The Lad looks ready after venting at those fans and quickly slides back into the ring. Cartwright offers a lock-up to his challenger after all that!

 

[Ken Armand]

Ken is just fine going into a lock up with the champion. He quickly attempts to transition to a side headlock takedown, then hold the headlock in on the ground  

[Cartwright]

Ken locks-in his side headlock and then rolls Cartwright downward into the mat, holding him in place with the champion on his back. The Lad doesn't want to be shown-up on the mat also, so he tries to use his legs to counter with a head scissors on the mat, keeping his legs wrapped around the challengers head!

Cartwright isn't a slouch in the ring, that much has always been obvious, and he counters the side headlock by getting Ken into a head scissors. Ken has to work a bit harder as he attempts to pry Cartwright's leg's loose enough to n** up out of the hold

Ken has great arm strength, which leads to Cartwright feeling his grip on the challengers head loosening. Cartwright thinks it would be a better idea to release the hold with his legs and try to gain a better position using his arms around the head!

Another change, an interesting choice as now Ken is basically in a headlock. Time to get a little more creative, as Ken turns so that he's no longer on his back but his stomach. From here he would push to his knees, attempting to force Cartwright up with him, then eventually to his feet to attempt to shove the champion off to the ropes

Ken isn't making it easy to keep a hold of him, as he turns to his front and begins getting to his feet. Cartwright clamps down on the hold as much as he can, but Ken soon escapes by pushing the champion towards the ropes. Cartwright goes with it, keeping the momentum and rebounding off the ropes, diving towards his challenger with a flying forearm smash to the face!

Ken finally got free but it doesn't help as much as he thought. Just a few moments later, Ken is dropped back to the mat again with the forearm  

[Cartwright]

Cartwright looks so proud of himself for getting the better of that exchange, posing in celebration by lifting his arms up to the crowds boos. The Lad looks to keep the pressure on Ken by rubbing his forearm across his opponents forehead!

 

[Ken Armand]

Ken is already down and the forearm across his head just adds insult to injury really. Still he rolls to the side, forcing his way back to his feet before leaning against the ropes  

[Cartwright]

Cartwright allows Ken to go to the ropes because he has everything thought-up ten steps ahead now! The Lad lets his challenger lean against the ropes as he looks to run towards him for a high knee strike to his chin!

 

[Ken Armand]

Ken took a few hits but he has some ring awareness. He's on the ropes and Cartwright charges him. Ken ducks and attempts to dump the champion over the top rope to the floor  

[Cartwright]

Cartwright can't stop his momentum as he lifts his knee towards Ken's face, who drops to the mat while pulling the top rope down. This results in the champion taking a nasty tumble to the outside as he can't balance himself!

 

[Ken Armand]

Ken takes a moment to catch his breath after Cartwright hits the floor on the outside. He knows realistically that this isn't going to be a short night at the office, and he needed that break, but he won't take too long. He drops down and rolls out of the ring, breaking the referee's count, and goes to pull the champion up, attempting a snap suplex on the floor
