By now, they were more than prepared to go between at the drop of a hat, and when Rouleth turned to avoid another cloud of thread only to feel it wrap around his tail once more, they did exactly that. This new threadscore at least had the decency to avoid hitting the same spot as last time, although that fact hardly made Rouleth feel any better about it.

How come it's all hitting my tail?
Bad luck, I guess?
Well, if it's going to hit me, which--I would really prefer if it didn't, it needs to start picking some new spots!

Once more, the wind was playing around with them -- though this didn’t come without consequences once more -- instead, Caironairth snarled as thread scored down his side and hip. Wa’ren gave a shout, urging Caironairth to between once more, though as they reappeared, the brown whipped to sear the thread out of mild revenge -- and, more importantly, before it could hurt someone else.

Crunching through stone, Cyliodath had no trouble blazing through flame that started to hover lower. With a prickle of pride he cleared his patch of the skies, with a particularly hot fountain of flame.

How are you holding up? I'ar swallowed, adjusting his position on Rouleth's back to better compensate for the wind buffeting him. He knew all his gear was fastened properly, but he couldn't help casting a quick glance over his straps midway through the process just in case he'd missed something. We'll have to get your tail looked at when we land. I hope that won't scar...
Eh, it'll be fine if it does. Might give me a little extra roguish charm, huh? He reared back to blast another clump, reveling in the satisfaction of watching it disintegrate. Every bit they burned was another that would never get the chance to hurt anyone--that, and it gave him the opportunity to shine. I'm okay, though! Not my first fall, you know.
Well, yeah. Not like you're going up here by yourself.
Oh, of course not. We're the dream team, after all! I couldn't leave you on the ground!

The wind picked up, pushing against the smaller dragons of the wing. Cyliodath tucked his large wings to his side, to keep from being blown off course. It was an effort to be certain, Cyliodath quite glad he was a larger blue.

E'sul was only too happy to be up in the air, flying for Trespasser's. Though things began a bit shakey--he felt Nioweth hiss as a small strand caught her wingsail--it wasn't major damage.

You're good, baby! Let's clear up this mess. And quite a mess it was. Though it wasn't as thick as the higher levels, there was still quite a bit of Thread to sweep up. Burning Aces must have been having quite a time of it for so much to be in the middle wings. Or perhaps Fall was't quite as light as they hoped.

Threadfall was never going to be anything less than chaotic and messy, no matter how much practice and drilling they got in between episodes. Z'rai continued to watch his wingmates fight as best they could. He took his turns, diving for and scorching clumps out of the air around them, but there were always more, weren't there? There were always more.

1: You critically fail! You either appear between directly in the clump of Thread and take Major Damage for -8 HP =or= you could wind up getting lost Between, and die, having not properly visualized where to jump. Death -- optional.

2: You appear close to the clump. Your dragons wings are grazed, but another quick hop and you're fully clear of the danger. [Minor Damage -1 HP.

3: You're fully clear of the danger! Phew! That was close! +1 Extra Between Accuracy

4: You not only manage to blink out of danger, but you blink back again, flame half of the clump, and blink away again only to appear a safe distance away. Even with the little buff from her children, the kind and warm feeling she'd felt before Betweening into the middle of the threadfall, Alythrae and Tarmath were met with resistance immediately. Thank Faranth the one eyed green was strong and her wings wouldn't stop beating and fighting. She was able to keep their position despite the fierce winds and as was normal, even after her first fall, Tarmath raged at the Thread that was all around her.

It happened on Tarmath's bad side, the side that Aly was the most sensitive about, but that didn't save either of them from what did come. A dragon appeared from Between flaming out of the gate and she screamed. Screamed as loud as she could, both out loud and in Tarmath's mind and the green, true to form, pulled a stunt that one of her size shouldn't have been able to do. She twisted, tucking her wings and rolled out of the flame's path and directly beneath the larger dragon, avoiding both flame and claws all in one move. All the blood rushed to Aly's head but as they righted no damage had been taken and a fresh batch of tears ran down her face behind her goggles, but she would worry about that later. Phosphorous poisoning scared her almost worse than being threadscored.

They'd both managed to avoid being fried by flame in a damaging way, but a sheet of thread appeared right before them as they popped from Between while avoiding another sheet. Aly almost panicked a bit, but she managed to keep her cool enough to relay a spot to Tarmath, regretting it a bit just as they came from Between again. A little too close to that clump.

Tarmath's vapor-wave style wings seemed to sizzle a bit, but not much damage was taken otherwise as they popped away from it and into an empty spot. So this fall was going to be like that then...

The winds were fighting the pair again and Tarmath roared in indignation as a muscle in her wing wrenched from the effort of staying in position. She was able to fight back against it, as was her nature, to fight, but it would be a lie to say it didn't hurt and sting. She'd have to worry at it later.
